dude that’s awesome! My first mentor i had was a terrible experience, second was good tho! Just upgraded last week, anyways i think we should have more younger mentors out there, especially since there’s a lot of young folk getting into trucking. Young and young can get along and get comfortable with the mentor and that’s the key

Nice job!!! I picked by my kenworth t680 next Gen about 3 weeks ago. Look out for 230086. I left that comment while watching your video and it didn’t hit me until almost the end that our truck numbers are almost matching.

I worked for Swift in Phoenix Az I worked in the claims department paying injury claims. What I liked about Swift was when a truck was in an accident, the whole load was brought to Phoenix, and the employees were able to buy things like TV's, tools, eletronics and so forth. Its a great company to work for
cool video. a few questions. what type of power do they give you in their trucks HP Torque Cummings, Detroit or? Sounds like you have a Jake on it? Inter axle I am sure but is either rear end a full locker? Do they let you pick the style of truck or are all KW's T680's? I like the older look like the W900 not that it matters to the pocket book. How are your paychecks? Been awhile since I drove still have a class one and thinking about doing it again. I used to be able to back super B's up into spots like that now I doubt I could back a half ton into the spot.
I drove for Swift from 2008 to 2011 and we didn't have a fridge in our trucks, we had to buy our own fridge to fit in the truck. I started with a 2007 Volvo 670 then after becoming a mentor I got a 2011 International ProStar
I took a break from swift due to the fact that my wife was pregnant I didn't get to complete my 4 week training every seemed pretty easy but my mentor didn't teach me well on how to back up right he would always try to rush me and I would get super nervous lol but I'm returning with swift next week hopefully this new trainer help me backing up that the only problem I have

as a former 0/O with Swift .Watch your settlement pay after maintance funds are taken out. you well be surprised as I was. I could tell you when I was going to get a goose egg. and when I was going tobget a four digit settlement never over 2500.00. second 18 of us O/O were released by the new at the time 2008 terminal manager that was transfered after our original manager was transfered back to Pheonix to organize and run the new container division. the new at the time Terminal Manager came from Texas.we 18had run ins with him in Texas. we had to have our terminal manager in New Boston Michigan get us loads out of Dallas Ft.Worth area.that tic that terminal manager off. so when he came to new Boston. he canceled our contracts and took our trucks our lively hood away. but never fear Jarma got him. he had personal problems that effected his job. he was demoted back to his Texas terminal. knocked down to fleetmanager. and then I was told bankrupted and divorced. becareful do your job keep track of all expenses including maintained kayaker uor truck repairs time lose do to breakdowns, ect. besafe injoy.

@@bennydrives, you must like Swift ? I hear a lot of good and negative about Swift. But, I guess, people have different opinions on certain things that they consider a trucking company bad.
@@bobbymatheson5807 I was always worried around Billy Big Riggers around me but not Swift. I have seen plenty Billy Big Riggers / owner operators trucks wrecked, rolled over on off ramps etc...but never saw a Swift truck in a wreck. I know it happens. It is bound to, they have 15,000 - 20,000 trucks. They are focused on by youtube morons so it seems worse than reality. Look up their SAFER scores. They are fine. After you've done that, get a life.
Well to tell you this, I personally had a bad Experience at the Swift Academy. I start this summer at a College to get my CDL. The program is 8-11 Weeks long. What’s nice is that I am gonna have my Manual License so I am not restricted. I might get Swift a Second Chance. I am not sure yet.
Hate to be the Debbie downer but my swift trainer sucked and so does that t680 shit you not I get in he said here’s where going don’t F up wake me when your close. After an hour of watching me drive 😂
