@@Joshi_ForReal No. I agree 7 is underrated af, but clearly a lot of love and effort was put into Super Circuit. It is a really interesting game for me, but the 2d flat courses kind of ruin it for me. Everything else tho is great. The backgrounds, the OST, the menu, the credits. Very fun game
Wario shipyard and Neo Bowser city are the tracks I see the most hated out of the main tracks Meanwhile when I had the game those were basically the ONLY tracks I played
The Mario Kart 7 bowser’s castle might be my favourite. It’s like the N64 Bowser’s Castle, where it doesn’t overwhelm you with crazy visuals, but just has an edgy atmosphere that gives you a sense of dread. On top of that, the music absolutely slaps.
Just randomly found this video, great watch! Gonna look at your other track rankings too. Really interested to hear someone else not being a huge fan of Neo Bowser City- I want to love that track, it looks so cool, but I never have that much fun driving it. It's just a nightmare on 200cc lol. & Totally agree on Shy Guy Bazaar! I think it's one of the coolest track aesthetics they've done & would love to see a remake
@@triple7marc Okay, and American isn't a US exclusive word, with it being untrue in many many cases via heritage. Let's not forget that America is considered a place for every culture, but in that sense you abandon your culture and have no true heritage. Americans have no distinct culture in the nation, any state, or even a city. So, maybe American shouldn't be a used word either. Does that make you upset? It shouldn't, because it's truthfully US citizen rather than American, and I'm not trying to label Canada, Mexico, Greenland, or the Caribbean here, only the US. American might be a term to be avoided, because it doesn't describe any US citizen and their choice to leave their culture behind, notably, when their nation isn't at war or oppressive. So, if "'motorway'" simply isn't a word, then maybe the word "American" also holds no meaning in a nation that has no distinct true culture and thus no need of foreign terms, and make no mistake, the cultural heritage of a native of America is all to foreign to those who abandoned their culture, even if they live in the land they claim. If words cannot extend the barriers, then maybe the words we use have no meaning as well. So, maybe I'm not American, just a person without a word to describe any heritage. That way of thinking sucks however, and nobody wants to be told they have no culture and heritage, but in a nation where words and language are subject to change under political opinion and divided nationalism, it might just be the world were putting ourselves in. Tell me, does "American" have any value as a word outside your opinion, and can it describe you under this view?
This was the first video game I ever owned. I have immense nostalgia for it. But it’s my least favorite Mario Kart game behind Mario Kart 64. I’ve played every Mario Kart game extensively on its native console and this one is just really poor, in my opinion. Its only saving grace is its track selection (especially its retro track selection, which is super stacked for some reason). But other than that, it really doesn’t have much going for it. What I hate most about the game is the slow pace. It feels like everything moves at a snail’s pace. The driving, even in 150cc, feels slow. It takes forever to go into a drift. If you fall off, it takes way too long to be rescued. If you’re hit by an item, the entire game comes to a halt for several seconds. It takes forever for you to accelerate back up to top speed even with a high acceleration kart, and very often you’ll get knocked into off-road which makes it even more annoying. And I know people say this about every Mario Kart game, but I find myself getting Mario Karted A LOT in this game. Maybe it’s just the fact that getting Mario Karted in this game is WAY more punishing in this game than any other game. The new mechanics in this game are pretty weak, too. I don’t like driving underwater, even in Mario Kart 8. Gliding is fine I guess, but it feels lame to just glide OVER stuff rather than drive on it. The worst offender is Rock Rock Mountain. What a boring track. I also absolutely despise Rosalina’s Ice World and this game has one of the worst Bowser’s Castles in the series’ history. It might just be all the underwater driving that annoys me. Its Mario Circuit is also pretty weak in my opinion, due to its length and simplicity. DS’ is the best Mario Circuit in the series’ history.
I can kinda agree, underwater and gliding arent bad additions but they dont feel surreal and its kinda just there for track aesthetic. Kart customization isnt fun either, the best combos are always the worst looking.
@@reloadtoad I think gliding is a decent addition because it adds a level of depth to the course, but I really do hate underwater driving. I just find it annoying. The physics are just too weird. I was gonna include kart customization in my original comment too but I think it’s important to realize that the target demographic of the game (kids/families) don’t care at all about “best” combos, and just want to choose something they think looks cool. As a game to play with friends, I think kart customization is a good idea. I just think unlocking kart pieces should be done a different way. Not by coins necessarily but maybe by completing different “quests” in races (like hitting a certain number of players with green shells, or using the shock a certain number of times).
