Airship Fortress is still my favorite course in DS and my second favorite course of all time behind DK Mountain. Here’s hoping they both get added to MK8D.
As a Sky Garden enjoyer, even though it's a retro track here, seeing it so high here, even over tracks like Waluigi Pinball (which I like...but not nearly to the level of others) is really nice to see ^^ They absolutely did a great job with the remake for DS standards

You earned a new sub :D Here’s my personal list (Get ready, there’s some very unpopular opinions !) 32 : GCN Park (In the top 3 of worst tracks in the franchise in my opinion) 31 : SNES Choco Island 2 (bad) 30 : SNES Mario Circuit 1 (mid) 29 : SNES Donut Plains 1 (I’m not a SNES hater) 28 : Figure-8 Circuit (a bit underrated, but Mario Kart DS standards are so high that it’s still very low in the list, also the first « decent » circuit in the list) 27 : GCN Luigi Circuit (It’s quite fun) 26 : Peach Gardens (1st very unpopular opinion here I guess, I just don’t really like it. At least Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remake is a banger) 25 : Desert Hills (I enjoy it but it’s not very very good) 24 : GBA Peach Circuit (It’s a VERY fun layout, but it kinda lacks of decoration) 23 : DK Pass (it’s overrated a bit but still great actually) 22 : N64 Moo Moo Farm (This track is very basic but its super fun) 21 : GBA Bowser’s Castle 2 (The layout is fun and varied but it’s pretty punishing) 20 : Cheep Cheep Beach (Very good 3rd track, and it’s very enjoyable) 19 : GCN Yoshi Circuit (I hate placing it that low, because the MK8DX Version is easily one of my favorite tracks, but it’s actually the worst version of this track by far) 18 : N64 Choco Mountain (MK8DX saved this track) 17 : Shroom Ridge (Very good track, but it’s kinda annoying sometimes) 16 : Delfino Square (its so overrated) 15 : N64 Frappe Snowland (Kinda long but still very fun and it has a great vibe) 14 : Yoshi Falls (Yes, it’s THAT high in the list. I just love this track.) 13 : SNES Koopa Beach 2 (Simple but amazing, also told you I was not a SNES hater :D) 12 : Luigi’s Mansion (Great decoration but most of the layout is pretty boring) 11 : Waluigi Pinball (Yes, it’s not even in the top 10. I LOVED this track when I was a kid, because I loved pinballs, but this track is actually pretty boring sometimes) 10 : N64 Banshee Boardwalk (The ambiance is one of the best in the WHOLE franchise, and the layout is fun !) 9 : Bowser’s Castle (One of the best Bowser’s Castle for me, absolutely amazing) 8 : Wario Stadium (The layout is amazing, but I’m not a fan of the deco) 7 : GCN Mushroom Bridge (Why do I love this track that much, it’s just a banger for me) 6 : Rainbow Road (Very good ending track with a very fun mechanic, and the music is beautiful) 5 : GBA Luigi Circuit (Here we go, a VERY unpopular opinion. I just completely love this track layout and it’s the best in the franchise for me, but the design is Peach Circuit but rainy and with a Luigi Blimp, still decent but nothing too incredible) 4 : Mario Circuit (Here we go, another unpopular opinion. This is another track carried by the amazing layout, but this time it uses creative mechanics and the design is pretty good !) 3 : GBA Sky Garden (3rd favorite track in the franchise, the music is stunning, the gameplay is very fun with lots of shortcuts and the vibes it gives are great) 2 : Airship Fortress (2nd favorite track in the franchise, it’s very good, the music is great, the layout is creative with some unique obstacles, just perfect.) 1 : Tick Tock Clock (My favorite track in the ENTIRE franchise. It’s absolutely amazing, the idea is crazy and is very well executed, the layout is great and racing on it is just so fun, thank you Nintendo.
Very interesting lits, but I have to say, I am all for Mario Circuit at #4. That track is so underrated. Not top 5 in DS, but definitely top 10. And also, Waluigi Pinball just barely outside of the top 10 is another unpopular opinion that I totally agree with.
Same. I love it, but it’s still very far from bowsers castle and airship fortress. It may be number three on my ds list, but there’s a lot in between on my series list

In my opinion Tick Tock Clock is really overrated, i never liked it much. Waluigi Pinball though, it's also most people favourite track but i understand them, it's simply incredible track with insane song. By the way, i agree with the Baby Park that got completely destroyed and the MKDD's Retro tracks have been destroyed in general. Luigi Circuit and Baby Park used to be insanely chaotic on DD and they became the most boring tracks ever. Mushroom Bridge and Yoshi Circuit also got destroyed, the music is not exactly the same, DS version of the songs destroyed the DD's ones that were incredible and MKDS also removed every funny shortcuts of both tracks (The small path on the beginning and the Bridge one for Mushroom Bridge and the secret tunnel for Yoshi Circuit)
Not a bad list. I'd say Airship Fortress, Waluigi Pinball and Luigi's Mansion are my top 3. Tick-Tock Clock and Bowser's Castle round up my top 5. Desert Hills is also super underrated.
I definitely agree with the DK Pass opinion. Boring track, bumpy, unfun to race on, few redeeming qualities. Any DK course from any other Mario Kart game is just straight up better.

There are so many great tracks in this game, especially the nitro tracks. My top five nitro tracks are Waluigi Pinball, Shroom Ridge, Mario Circuit, Wario Stadium, and Bowser Castle. Yoshi Falls is my least favorite track in the entire game. For retro tracks, my top five are GCN Yoshi Circuit, GCN Luigi Circuit, GCN Mushroom Bridge, GBA Bowser Castle 2, and GBA Peach Circuit.
Waluigi Pinball takes place only inside of a pinball not just the end, the first part is supposed to be the route the ball is following to get on the flipper-desk. It's still part of the machine
finally someone who tell the truth about waluigi pinball... its not a great track at all, there is nothing to do with a pinball its just a metal path and at the end you drive in a straight line without real obstacle
I actually would put SNES Choco Island 2 higher, not in the top 10, but at least just missing the top 16 at best. Honestly, I didn’t really have much issue with it, though they could have removed some of the bumps, if it reappeared in a future game. Shortness though, that depends on the person. As for what SNES course could appear in the Booster Course Pass, since there’s only 1 spot left, is between 5 tracks, Ghost Valley, Vanilla Lake, Choco Island, Koopa Beach (It’s stupid that Tour called it Koopa Troopa Beach, not confusing it with N64 Koopa Troopa Beach) and Bowser Castle, where none of its variants have returned. Which do you think should return? Reply your thoughts here.
I think Koopa beach 2 or a snes bowsers castle, all the others rule out other possible snes tracks like snow land>vanilla lake, choco mountain>choco island, Boo lake>ghost valley ect

Sky Garden is definitely my favorite track in the series... until Tour and MK8D ruined it. Waluigi Pinball is definitely overrated. Yes, it is a decent course. Yes, the song is a banger. But for a track of today's stature? There is a grand total of 1 jump, has awkward turns, and never really a fan of courses that just zoom you to the top and say "good luck" cuz it's bad course design. DK Summit included, though that's with a DK barrel, so I'll give that a pass. DS Rainbow Road was my favorite as a kid just because of the loop and corkscrew, but this was 7 year old me lol
Finally someone who tells the truth about Waluigi Pinball. It's by far the most overrated track in the entire series. And the fact people actually compare it to stuff like Mount Wario or 3DS Rainbow Road bothers me so much. Same with Tick-Tock Clock, it just feels dead, especially compared to the MK8 remake.
@@bjorngmrofficial No, just some people also got tired of hearing about how so many others found Mount Wario and 3DS Rainbow Road amazing, so they decided those were “overrated” (out of those two, 3DS Rainbow Road gets the more flack for being “too highly praised” just because of the sections instead of loop and “apparent atmosphere” when 3DS Rainbow Road is overall way less difficult than others in the series and has some sections with not much going on) Mount Wario’s mainly criticized for the somewhat awkward to navigate trees part and the “not much going on” final section, but overall doesn’t get as much “overrated” backlash
I’ve always thought Waluigi Pinball was overrated as hell. It’s decently fun and has great music and vibes but the ending really turns me off. You basically just drive straight.
I agree that banshee boardwalk is better than waluigi pinball. It feels kinda bland and boring in some parts and banshee boardwalk does very good his job
Rainbow Road isn't #5 and Delfino Square should be top 5 for sure. Kind of surprised Waluigi Pinball is only #10 although I think that track is a tad overrated personally.
Waluigi pinball is kinda overrated. I honestly disagree most with your rakings of GBA Luigi Circuit and SNES koopa beach. For some reason i really like those.
