I was personally always of the opinion that Elephantmon is a good Digimon, just not a good golden armor digivolution. They really could've done more to make it feel like a golden armor digivolution, and I wish they took that extra step.

I think it's interesting, with Rapidmon X the green colour is actually just a design staple that the character designer As'maria uses incredibly often, you can see it in basically all his X-Antibody designs. He was even going to put it on RustTyrannomon but wasn't sure if it was an X-Antibody Digimon or not lol

You make a good point with Elephantmon and Peacockmon, but when I went to look up "blue gold," I was led to a Wikipedia page on alloying gold with other elements to change its color. Maybe that's what's going on with those two?

Magnamon X and Rapidmon Armor X are just... meh. The thing I don't like the most about them is visual disappearance of crests of miracle and fate. I hope that light evolution ranking would be soon, because there is one armor digimon which is quite interesting. well, the theme for the miracle digimental is the metal element, so both elephantmon and peacockmon are in theme, and the theme for the fate digimental is golden recolors so, yeah, this is one where they stuck to the theme pretty well, so no questions, but I do understand you have more criteria for evaluation, like looking like the acctual digimental, so I can see why they disappointed you, and when you do purity/sincerity, there is two themes, the plant element and japonese culture, so you will have to take both into account

I think Elephantmon has a fitting design for an Armor Digivolution but certainly not for the Digi-Egg of Miracles. Maybe the Digi-Egg of love would fit better, because Elephantmon can fly and elephants are fitting in some way because they take care of young elephants if the mother dies (i don't know i just try find a good fit :D) And maybe Tapirmon a better fit (with Digi-Egg of love or knowledge) then Armadillomon.

So my top tiers are Magnamon(a Royal Knight was able to destroy Kimeramon and hold his own against Cherubimon Virus with Rapidmon Gold at his side is a total badarse), GoldVeedramon(cause for me any Veedramon is a total Chad my favorite Digimon/Digivolution Line in the Franchise) and Kougoumon are S Tiers to me!! A Tiers for me are Golden Rapidmon and Rhinomon. B Tiers are Maildramon, Peacockmon and Elephantmon.

From the fate exclusive golden digivolution I can’t help but feel that it creates a golden regular digivolution. Gold veedramon and gold rapidmon being the only examples that I know of that fit this, what with salamon and it’s X antibody counterpart getting maildramon, but that’s gatomon’s miracle one, and feels like a bit of a cop out. Then there’s kongoumon and rhinomon who are wormmon and patamon’s respective miracle digivolutions, who are also just given out to a bunch of other Digimon. This would fit the theme of Fate by sticking to their innate digivolution potential, while also semi justifying the recoloured rapidmon and veedramon.

Honestly I always hated the concept of Digimentals, mainly due to how they looked (No joke, the Digimental of Friendship almost looks like a goddamn cartoon shoe) and how Yolei and Cody's most significant roles in the anime were linked to these things (If there's ever a Digimon Adventure 02 reboot, I could easily see them replaced by Meiko and Willis, one of which even has their own signature Crest, just like Ken, Kari, Davis and T.K.). That said.....Goddamn, do I LOVE the Digimentals of Miracles and Destiny!

I’ve always viewed the Golden Armour Digimon as on par with Megas but I am surprised they never have Magnamon a title on Digivolution Magnamon the Golden Knight of Miracles!!!

I feel very much the same with these except I would rank Rhinomon X higher, maybe even over Rhinomon itself but my tastes skew a lot more favorably towards "ow the edge" type stuff (hell, just look at my username). I prefer it over the other two X forms because it's busy but doesn't feel as cluttered; it still reads as a rhino pretty easily whereas with the knights I can barely tell what I'm looking at. Also, I kind of like that both Terriermon and V-mon's Fate evolutions are recolours of their natural evolutions.

I would have liked golden armor to be , idk something more ? Maybe it needed to take more elements from both sets, or maybe pull more from other high evos of the other digimon

Yeah there's not that many Golden Armor Digimon, although I have Magnamon, Rapidmon X, & Kongoumon as S-Tier. Then I have Magnamon X, Rapidmon (Gold), Rhinomon, & Rhinomon X as A-Tier. Maildramon, GoldVeedramon, & Peacockmon are B-Tier, while Elephantmon is C Tier for me. I feel like we need more Golden Armor forms.

I would give gold veedramon the tough love treatment and drag it down to F. There's so much they could've done... and even if they were going for a pallet swap, they could a least done with aero veedramon instead.

I didn't want to info dump if this was already said, but I didn't see it so Rapidmon was a golden armor Digimon first, it was released in 2000, and as you pointed out, its design clearly takes influence from the Digiegg of Destiny and on a note of personal preference, the Holy Rings around its tighs could also be considered a link to Cherubimon Virtue who wears two Holy Rings on its ears, making for a nice regal parallel between the twin Digimon Green Rapidmon was released a year later in 2001, and the design elements taken from the Digiegg no longer make sense. And I might be in the minority but I think this evolution is a rather disappointing weak link in Tamers' very strong chain. I think it would have sat better with me if Rapidmon was the Mega and there was another evolution as the Ultimate, one that perhaps paired better with Antylamon as the Ultimate. Additional personal preference the lack of Holy Rings on his thighs makes the design look incomplete, or naked -An Agent of God

i know it's not quite the topic of this video but what do you think about gold veedramon evolving to Victory Greymon? Veedramon can evolve from agumon, and the original Vee part was ment to be V for victory?

The gold one came first... that sound be obvious considering Rapidmon first appeared in the Digimon Movie and was part of the Adventure 02 story line before Digimon Tamers even existed. The green version which is an Ultimate level not an Armor Digimon is the repaint of the Gold version. And I was always a little disappointed when Henry's Gargomon digivolved to Ultimate for the first time expecting to see a brand new Digimon for this evolution line only to end up with a green Rapidmon. BTW I feel like there are Armor forms missing from this list? Aren't there two Golden Armor forms for each of the Digimon? One for Miracles and one for Destiny? I don't know why I had that in my head that since there are 2 Golden Digi-Eggs that there should be two Golden Armor forms for each of the 02 partner Digimon. There's only 7 here not counting X variants and Golden Veedramon. Anyway... my ranking would be... 7. Elephantmon (Even if this were colored Gold it would still be at the bottom of my list. The others all do some what resemble the Digimon they evolve from though Rinomon would be better if he had some of Patamon's orange color peaking out from under the armor, or if Patamon and Armordillomon actually swapped golden armors as I could see Patamon's ear wing things becomming Elephantmon's Vtol fans a lot better and Rinomon even kind of has a Drill horn like Drillmon who also evolves from Armordillomon.) 6. Peacockmon (Who I agree with you is a great design that would be better were it actually gold.) 5. Maildramon (Who would get a higher ranking if the colors were reversed so it was more gold than silver instead of being more silver than gold) 4. Congomon 3. Rhinomon 2. Rapidmon 1. Mangnadramon I'm not going to include the variants as they would all just be on par with the original for me anyway but Golden Veedramon I don't even see as an Armor evolution at all because it's not... it's a Champion Digimon colored Gold, he's not even wearing any armor. If you're going to repaint something cold and call it an Armor evolution at least repaint something that actually looks armored. Like if you showed me a Golden AeroforceVeedramon and told me that was an Armor Digimon I'd actually buy that one. But this Digimon with no armor what so ever colored Gold should not even exist. I hate it. I like the regular Veedramon, but as an Armor Digimon it gets an F.
