Ok, so, quick correction: The group that Alphamon is part of is called the "Royal Knights". "holy Knight" is his type(It's called Warrior in English). Not only is he a part of it but he is also the de facto leader of the group, at least in Omnimon's absence. Despite this, he is a sort of...hermit leader. He is also one of the few Digimon that carries that X-Antibody but doesn't have X in his name(Like Wargreymon-X for example). He has an alternate mode named Alphamon Ouryuken which doesn't change how he looks, he's just wielding a giant sword named Ouryūken(Lie Blade Of The Dragon King). His strongest attack is Digitize Of Soul in which he opens a portal via magic circle and just fucks shit up big time. While he's had many appearances in games, he's only appeared in the movie Digital Monster X-Evolution(The entire movie was pretty much about his In Training form Dorumon), the last few episodes of Data Squad and i think also in Tri. To be fair to the figure, using the Dorumon parts as the cape is the most practical thing they could've done with them, as the inside of the cape is the only thing on Alphamon that is purple, and it's better than him not having a cape at all. Besides that, though as you showed, the SHF Alphamon is expensive, it still is an alternative if you just want a solid articulated Alphamon figure, and it does include his sword, the Ouryuken (though not the wings, unfortunately)

I actually got super lucky with this one. Gamestop seemingly accidentally put this guy up for $20. They changed it to the proper price as fast as they could, but I snapped it up before that, and they still fulfilled the order. While Alphamon and Dorumon aren't my absolute favorites, and I can agree with pretty much all of Jonny's criticisms here, it was most definitely worth it at that price.

I love these Digimon reviews. I find these insightful and informs me what to expect with any of the spirits I pick up. So far, the best are Keramon/ Diaboromon and Gabumon/ Metalgarurumon.

I was fortunate enough to have gotten the SH Figuarts Alphamon for fairly cheap at a convention shortly after the figure's initial release; love the design and wish that, with all the compromises on the Digivolving Spirits line, those would be priced just a LITTLE more reasonably. Ah well.

well if you're ok with bootlegs and edgy designs, there's the tung mung brand of metal build digimons for omegamon x, dukemon x, and alphamon ouryuken (they still slap x on it but alphamon is an x antibody digivolution already) I had omegamon and dukemon x and they're pretty awesome apart from nearly breaking my fingers trying to put on the shoulder pads

Love the videos, man. Definitely think you should complete the set(if you want to that is). I think you should start it out as the cute version rather than the cool version. To make it more dramatic and cool. Plus with the amount of kibble from cute mode, it could be kind of like a reveal from the cute shell to the awesome interior, like Angewomon and her high school mascot costume head. Can't wait for the next review.

Basically, Dorumon was the lead character in a Japanese only Digimon movie called “Digital Monster X-Evolution, that featured the X-Antibody counterparts of certain Digimon, and had to do with the destruction of the Digital World by its own god, Yggdrasil (or King Drasil in the English dub, because the dub is wrong), as well as some of Royal Knight Digimon (including Omegamon) commuting mass genocide of Digimon with the X-Antibody. Dorumon is an X-Antibody Digimon created as a Prototype Digimon by Yggdrasil. The movie was also one of the first Digimon movies that was entirely computer generated. Depending on your tastes, that could be a good or bad thing. The most I could say about it is that it looks like a PS2 cinematic cutscene.

I see there is an ad in my recommended feed for Dog kibble....I think it's because you use the term 'kibble' a lot lol. I first learned about Dorumon from playing Digimon story cyberslueth. I thought he would be a cute adorable addition to my team. I had NO idea he digivolved to that....AWESOME!! I need to learn more about him. ._. I would just prefer a Dorumon figure.

Jsyk the SH Figurarts version of Alphamon is a P(remium) Bandai product, meaning that it was only on sale for one time and that was it, so there's a limited quantity out there for sale.

Well i give you some infos about alphamon The wings with the feathers are in his final digevolution so that form that you own is the second to last one And that sword you mentioned is more like an axe then a sword but he still has one He can summon it from some kind of pocket dimension (at keast i guess there are only some symbols on the ground and the sword emerges from the ground) and that sword itself looks like its made out of light simular like ganondorfs sword in twilight princess just with less details That attack is called blade of the dragon king The open hands could simulate the small energy beams she used in the first digimon adventure tri episode or the attack soul digitalization where she just summons a green glowing circle in front of her palm and fires multiple energy beams from it With the axe she can use the attack ultimate ouryuken
