Taco Bell doesn't need chefs or scientists, just stoned late teens making people's day:3 (employees are so nice too, i gave one a tip because he was so sweet)
I think those Cinnabon delights prove just how shrewd Taco Bell are as a business. In a different universe, those things are in the freezer section of every grocery store. But in our universe, Taco Bell went up to Cinnabon and said, "how about you let us be the only people that sell those?" and they somehow made it happen.
Former TB Manager here, the quesorito was vaulted because it was showing significantly lower sales than its cousin, the grilled cheese burrito. Every season, TB alters the menu, and spring of this year, it was removed in favor of LTOs that were scheduled to return, such as the Volcano Taco, which hasnt been seen in many years.
I firmly believe sales dropped because most Taco Bell’s made the quesorito only purchasable by using the app. I’m sure it was a way of promoting the app but I think it was a poor business decision
Cheese roll-ups are mainly for kids. I vaguely remember when I was really young, my mom would bring me to taco bell and she'd ask them for just cheese in a tortilla like this, before it was ever on the menu. I think it's a really common kid's order because they don't want to mess around with the other flavors.
Taco bell has been like the Legend of Zelda series of fast food. They're mavericks, don't play by the book, innovate, sometimes take big risks at the cost of disappointing their fans, but have been the real trailblazers compared to McDonalds (Super Mario) or Burger King (Sonic the Hedgehog)
Besides the sonic to burger King this is a good comparison, tbhbi feel like burger King is more like a plug in play that you would find at a dollar store
@@dirtaybirday_1 how is it inaccurate to call sonic burger king? Have you seen how... Meandering sonic was during the mid 2000s? Even now, we get stuff like sonic forces.
How dare you say Sonic The Hedgehog is BK, and not... IDK... SONIC???? It's literally a fast food joint, fr, lol. EDIT (02/14/2024): It amuses me greatly the fact that people don't notice this was satirical. Amazing. 😂😂
@wubbawubba3396 sonic isn't a bad video game series imo yeah it had its terrible moments don't get me wrong, every video game has especially now sonic isn't too good but I'm just pointing out how much burger King sucks
I haven't had Taco Bell in 15 years, but this makes me want to give them another chance. I never liked it as a kid because it was dog food and cardboard, but I've ben hearing good things about them lately. For them to still be around after 15 years, they definitely must have changed because they were known as the place to go if you were homeless because they had $0.99 meals
As someone who worked at tacobell, everyday that I worked I got food there because apart from being free, I just enjoyed the flavors. The powerbowl tastes alot better when you mix all the ingredients to get a more diverse flavor. Otherwise eating everything separate does taste boring. I agree with most of the ranking, but I got to say that I get sick of the Cinnabons real quick because of the cream and prefer the cinnamon twists.
God bless the taco bell workers who actually make the food so its good. Theres nothing worse than spending $5 on a cheesy gordita crunch and it comes out like ass
Jesus, it's a crime how y'all weren't sponsored in this video by Taco Bell. After watching this me and the bois went and chowed down on some delicious tacos and burritos!
I used to work at Taco Bell at there were these two precious older ladies that would come in every day and get a bean burrito and a Mexican pizza. They’d sit and have their lunch and talk everyday. It was such a wholesome friendship to see 🥺🥺
I had a father/son duo come through Taco Bell every morning m-f for the same thing for breakfast and they owned a landscaping company and the 16 year old was learning to take over the business so dad can retire in a few years 🥺
@@PrinceFloof hes actively giving his rating, its charlies channel, most people come here for charlies ratings, your not missing anything, its just a visual thing
My favorite is the 7 layer burrito it comes with Pulled Chicken, Mexican seasoned rice, guacamole, tangy salsa, nacho cheese sauce, lava sauce & pinto beans. I also love the grilled cheese burrito, Cheesy Gordita crunch regular and Doritos, Beefy Melt Burrito. When I'm on a budget the Double decker tacos for 2 bucks fills you up and isn't bad.
as a taco bell worker and a long time veiwer the comments about the food was absolutely on point and on the food that we know isn’t good we make it as fast as possible and on the expensive food you take your time. that may play a part.
Taco Bell is unparalleled in it's ability to be inconsistent every single time you order. Some Taco Bell is the nectar of the gods while other Taco Bell is "They messed up my order and they didn't even make the mistake correctly."
Right. I LOVE the cheesy fiesta bowls. But, 1 out of 3 times, I get home and the potatoes are hard as rocks, like they’ve been thrice cooked. So annoying.
im positive they got shit chalupa shells from this one. Cause some chalupa shells are super dry and seem like they left them out for 2 days and others are moist with a nice delicate crispness on the outside. When the chalupa shells are good the chalupa is easily the best item on the menu
they're consistently inconsistent. This makes me wonder if my location is just particularly bad, because every time I get a gordita crunch, they fill it with like one shred of cheese and the shells are at 90 degree angles.
I used to not like taco bell because I remembered it being bad till I started working night shifts I decided to get some taco bell one night and I must say I now love taco bell compared to other fast food places
Even with an entire table of food at his disposal, every bite that Matt takes looks like he's worried it might be the last bite of food he will ever eat! 😂
I tend to go with two burritos or whatever $5 box they have when it's available through the app. With their boxes I often sub one item with black beans or make it fresco. Probably the biggest issue I have with their stuff is the amount of salt, but that's probably true for most fast food places.
the funny thing about crunchwraps is that a perfectly made crunchwrap can easily be an A or even an S, but it's the most often butchered item on the menu. It needs a perfect ratio of ingredients on both sides of the crunchy shell in the middle, then it needs to be wrapped and cooked correctly. The ingredients can also shift to the side easily if you're not careful. Plus, as Matt said, once the crunchy shell gets soggy, a big part of the appeal is gone.
As a Gm for my location at Taco bell i can say the way you explain this is so crazy to me because its not even something you have to put alot of effort into, but yet employees seem to operate without thumbs.
When the crunch wrap first released, I basically ate it every day. I think the employees were being made to be more careful because it was a new menu item. Easy S tier. It probably only took 6 months to a year for it to become a C or D tier item because of the lack of care put into making it. I also strongly suspect that at some point, employees were either told to put fewer ingredients in it or just started doing it because they like watching the world burn.
@@Hamgetsu lmao so true. Sometimes I feel like they must actually be trolling. You know how the app lets you specifically request what sauce you want and how many? Obviously most of the time they just throw in a handful and call it a day, I get it. But TWICE now I've asked for a few fire sauces and received a bucketload of EVERY OTHER SAUCE EXCEPT FIRE. Like...I don't need 7 milds, 5 mediums, 9 hots...pls 😭
Either they cut a lot out from when I worked there, or there are a lot of missing menu items here. Tostada, fiesta taco salad, 7 layer burrito, taquitos, etc
Former taco bell manager, they've always had black beans, they just weren't a prominent menu item until 1 and a half ago. A black bean burrito was always an option, as well as a black beans and rice bowel, but other then that it wasn't highly advertised.
@@JediMasterBaiter literally yes, it was apart of their veggie options, if you don't want meat on a burrito, you can sub it out for refried or black beans. Edit: you can sub anything for anything. But sometimes it may cost you extra, depending on the substitute.
the beefy melt burrito fills me with joy every time i consume it it’s unexplainable. i’m not at that part in the vid where he tries it but i hope he feels the same
Even the low grades of meat are wholesome, if it's not fresh it's not for humans. Lower grade comes from older leaner animals you wouldn't be carving a steak out of.
Taco Bell has to have the best food scientists and chefs working for them so they can figure out all the possible ways they can arrange 5 different ingredients.
Well you know, it’s a joke. You don’t need to take it seriously. If I were to list off all the ingredients the joke would have been less effective. But I love y’all still even if you’re on the spectrum.
@@Syzygy77 Yeah, it’s clearly a joke, it’s just not funny to anyone even vaguely aware of the taco bell menu. Normally a joke will be based in some sort of truth. But yeah, definitely, you’d have to be autistic to not find YOU funny.
Taco Bell use to have black Olives but they removed them in the 90's 99 to be exact. Adding re-fried beans to a fresh crunch wrap supreme is crazy to taste and eat.
yeah honestly just there in case someone was still hungry but not enough for anything big just very cheap and brightly light in comparison to everything else
And the cheesy potato. If it’s made right after baking then it will be delicious. If it’s made later even tho they baked it then it wouldn’t be the same.
How long was their food sitting in the bags? Crunch Wrap Supreme is their best in mho, but it has to be eaten within the 5 minutes of getting it. Same with their freeze's, I personally always go for their $2 burritos & their $1 freeze's between the 2m-5pm mark. No complain on the Diablo sauce either, sweetness plus the kick does balance! 😋
Well they said in the video that the sauces would absolutely help alot of the lower tier items but said they wanted to keep it natural. I think they should do another with everything C rank and lower with the sauces and see if they are able to be bumped up or if the sauce is just not enough to help. Would be very interesting.
Personally a Hot sauce main here, but same sentiment. Literally every item I use 2-3 packets and without them, they would most likely drop a whole tier or two imo
You have no idea how happy this video makes me, I’ve always loved Taco Bell as a kid and i hate the slander behind it but seeing how Charlie and Matt both love it and see how good it is, will hopefully open the eyes of the people who hate it just cause others hate it, this made me want to get some Taco Bell
Quesorito has been off the menu at my local TB for a while, but they still make it every time I ask for it. I think it might be a hidden menu item at this point until they "bring it back", but not sure how many TBs do that.
I think the Baja Blast is very popular staple for Taco Bell as it complements perfectly with any item by them especially since the balance between spicyness and the citrus flavor cancels eachother out which is perfect.
The Steak Breakfast Crunchwrap is S+ tier. No contest, not even close. I am emotionally conflicted; every aspect of Charlie's life is quantitatively better than mine, but I feel sincere pity for his Steakless Breakfastless Crunchwrapless existence.
I legitimately don't know if I've ever actually had Taco Bell, and I've watched two 'every taco bell item' videos in the past week. I really want them now.
The real reason the cheesy roll up exists is to combine it with a crunchy taco, to form a double decker taco. Also for the chips and cheese, you gotta add in fire or Diablo to the cheese and mix it up to enhance it another level
16:47 The Quesarito was my favorite item on the menu, was brought out in my freshman year of high school and was a thing up until 2023. Im still so pissed that they took it away that i've never gone back to Taco Bell.
not having the breakfast menu as well is a shame. their breakfast menu absolutely slaps. thye6 had the cinnabon bites but that breakfast crunchwrap and breakfast burrito absolutely crush a lot of competition.
I have been an avid Taco Bell enjoyer my whole life pretty much, and I’m so glad to see it actually get the hype it deserves and actually getting talked about, well for once
new smaller tier list video about the newer value menu items they just got in maybe? ik it aint much but i feel like once they also come out with those insane baja themed items you could do a bonus round
Have you ever had a bad experience with stomach/diarrhea at Taco Bell? I never have nor do I know anybody who has but online everybody acts like taco is nuclear waste that is guaranteed to destroy your gastrointestinal system and or toilet lol.
I like how they didn't care too much about the gordita crunch first time around, but when they tried it a bag later they freaked out and gave it an S. Only difference was the shell was Doritos
they bit the edges on the first gordita, probably had no cheese on the edges, theyre usually in the middle which is where they bit first with the nc gordita
The steak chulupa has different varieties on depending how long its been sitting, sometimes the fresh juicy steak with the soft chulupa shell is an immaculate S tier but when its hard but the steak is still fresh then its going in the average C tier but when everything is hard it goes in D tier. - Steak Chulupa supreme enjoyer
Last time I visited the US (I'm Mexican) my family and I went to Taco Bell just to try as many fast food restaurants as possible. We went with the idea that Taco Bell wasn't going to be very good, but holy shit it was our favourite chain. It's really good!! And amazingly cheap for the quality as well. Of course it's fat on carbs on sodium but as a fast food treat to eat every now and then, it's surprisingly amazing.
You guys should do a episode where you both rate them in different rooms and compare the tier list after to see if your influencing each others decisions
@@Jayzx53 ??? yes it would? put both fottages next to each other, itd be hilarious to have matt say "this fucking sucks" and charlie be raving about it and the exact time time
You can still order it- just order a beefy 5 layer, sub refried beans for rice, add creamy chipotle, and grill. If you don’t mind the up charge for rice and chipotle sauce. If you know what goes in a discontinued item, you can basically customize any item on the menu to make it.
As a fellow Taco Bell advocate, I can confidently say that the cheesy bean and rice burrito is my favorite and I add sour cream and onions. It is out of ruins world. You can also sub potatoes for meat on anything on the menu. I love Taco Bell
Learned something new, totally didn’t know that Taco Bell changed their quality. As a prior health and fitness nut this is ground breaking. Also would love to see a dim sum tier list.
@@ainmon5875 Yeah and tbh, I'm guessing if it was mostly about wanting to use cheaper ingredients and sell it as going more healthy, or if they were following a trend. All I do know is labeling things as 'vegan' on their menu is more recent.
they hired a world renowned chef to take over their food portion of the business in like the 2010s, food has been different ever since, the chicken is actually really good there most of the time but i still prefer to just go to chipotle if i want fast food burritos
yeah its kinda funny how much taco bell has changed quality wise. Also as a weight lifter the chicken power bowls have really good nutrition in it for it just being fast food
They used to have a crispy chicken quesadilla like what you're talking about at around 26:30, but it wasn't around for very long. To this day one of the best things Taco Bell has ever made.
I remember close to 10 years ago one of the people that worked at toco bell actually put fescues into a taco and then here a few months ago a worker but a baggie of coke in a burrito and sold it to the wrong customer
The quesorito was my favorite, now it's the grilled cheese burrito. I get a crunchwrap supreme and a grilled cheese burrito and when they have them I get nachos fries with too.
I was super happy when the Pyro reference came through, especially since I just heard Charlie's voice in Pyro's most recent video. Also, yeah, Taco Bell is slapworthy for the price it costs you if you know what to order. Burger King is better here in Canada than it is in America cuz of regulations, but as such, it costs substantially more. Taco Bell always runs you more value, and even outshines the last Taco God here: Taco Time. I was happy to watch you guys enjoy yourselves for once instead of suffering in pain, lol.
The Quesarito wasnt a seasonal item is the big issue. It was introduced and was huge, they kept it on menu for years, even included variants with some of their limited time menus. About a year(and a half maybe) ago they moved it to be exclusive to the Bell app and then pretty quietly axed it about a month before their current Volcano Taco promo despite the fact the Quesarito would SLAP with the option to add the Lava sauce
They stopped making it becasue of Covid, since it's already a harder menu item to make and the sudden emergence of people only ordering online + short staff, they moved it online.
They also got rid of the shredded chicken which was AMAZING in the quesarito. And the regular shredded chicken isn't the same cause the shredded chicken came packaged in a sauce, so it was like it was marinated beforehand. So sad :[ Closest you can come now is modifying the grilled chicken burrito or the beefy 5 layer. But it's not the same.
@@sillylilbee???? I got it like 8 months ago. Not to say its not gone now but it wasnt covid. I want to know if its gone now though, cause it seems like it is according to these comments
Taco Bell is, and always has been an old friend we can always rely on. It doesn't matter how long it's been or what time of the day it is.. you know that when you pull up to that window, you'll leave happy.
