One thing I love about Linus is unlike many YTers with tons of subs, he built a company that gives jobs and livelihoods to several people. That's pretty great.

Tampering with computers is hella fun, totally get where he comes from. Did a simple job by changing out a PSU a little while back and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I was in a speed building competition in 2004. I built a fully working computer in 3:40. I placed 3rd. First and second place had blood all over their hands from the sharp case they selected. I didn't have a scratch. I couldn't imagine building one blind.

VS. CHALLENGE BUILD! Stealth mode pc- No light, minimum sound, minimal heat. Harder than you'd think, RGB and led lights are everywhere. Case mustn't go above 3 degrees ambient room temperature. Sound can't go above ambient noise floor of the room. Decibels over noise floor loose points. Each light source looses points. Each degree over 3 degree threshold looses points. LTT standard benchmarks earn points based on performance.

Building computers is so simple now days. No jumpers to set, no irq settings, just put parts in and it works.

Hey Linus team, have u guys ever watch the mic volume level at all when live streaming. viewer can lower the volume if it too loud, but we cant tune up the volume if it to low. Not all people use high end audio eq. Just some improvement for u guys. TQ

Oh yeah, it matters, Linus 23:27. You are describing PMEM, 23:18. Use PMEM/ RDMA access (near memory compute). What you have is Apache Pass (AEP) or Optane which is still not there yet as a real leap for fastest NVMe/ CPU match up and best use of the Threadripper you are using.. May be at PCIe 5.0 will there be that full performance NVMe/ NVDIMM/ RAM bridge.

For watercooling you could just do the new CPU block/Pump/Res combo thing, add a gpu block and radiator and you're done. It's just that a watercooling buildoff sounds way more fun, maybe add difficulty tiers for the m ore experienced builders? Like hard tubing or even metal/glass tubes as final challenge

Just want everyone to take a moment and realize that, unless it was planned(highly doubt), the first ~10 second was genuine Linus, he semi expected to be told he’s live. Maybe I’m reaching, but that looked like a smile and the tone was a boss with a good upbeat vibe that you would love to be around. Because you can clearly see his on screen happy joke persona come on once he knows he’s live, like a switch.

i just built my very first pc from scratch and i learned everything i needed to know from linus tech tips. I have watched so many videos i didnt need to refer to a video while building. No one cares about my specs so i wont share them unless some one asks but i remember linus saying in an old video that he one day wanted to build a following of viewers who could build spec and build their own pcs from his videos. Im definitely not the first but im happy to join the coalition

As a visually impaired (not completely blind) person, I train to do things without my sight so that I am prepared for the day I lose it completely. Seeing Linus try a blindfolded PC build makes me wonder if there are any completely blind PC builders out there. It would be neat to get someone in to give Linus and us different and new tips. It would give me hope that I can learn how to customize my computer without sight. Also, if Linus is going to try the blindfold challenge again, maybe purchase or borrow a pair of sleep shades. They are more effective for the completely blind experience and he won’t have difficulty breathing through a hat. Made love from Vancouver Island.

Why is the audio so quiet?? Ive got my system cranked to the max and it's just barely audible.

Like the clean aesthetics of the case. But seems like with only one bay, you can only attach one card-reader, or one DVD-reader. Not using so much DVD's today, but nice to have in case I want to watch a BluRay Disc. Or copy old DVD's to the HD. What can one do to get 2 or 3 bays (slots) for the same model or brand of case?

I know Linus loves server grade stuff and I know that they have done the whole one cpu, multiple users, but it would be cool if they could do a new version with a 64 core and two or three new quadros. I would love to see this. New video idea? Nvidia? AMD? YOLO

We have probation in the UK as well, every job I have ever had has had a 3-6 month probationary period where the company can get rid of you a lot easier if it isn't working (or you can leave easier). This is then followed up by a meeting/review where they decide whether to take you off probation or extend it.

I know this is a bit of an old video but I believe have a good suggestion for a video... Relay race to build a pc. Each team member gets a set time to put parts in the pc while the other team members are blind and def to what the active member is doing that way when time runs out they swap members but the new teammate stepping in won't know what's been done without examining it and wasting time... not sure if this would be funnier with 1st time builders or experienced builders
