I redesigned the Wix logo because they are lagging behind some competitors in how cool they are perceived to be. Wix has redesigned basically all elements of their business except for their logo. The last change they made was to remove an interesting character, which was the right move but the rest of the logo remained the same. So, I wanted to give them a logo design that would represent their bold modern new template designs, clean aesthetic and bring them into the the 25th century.

I would flip the W so the shorter end can be in the middle, and the dot can be placed inside the "box"

Or make the ‘X’ smaller. At the moment, with it looking uppercase and not physically connected to the other letters, it seems “off”. If it is made smaller, the ‘i’ in the middle becomes the highest point of the mark with the ‘w’ and ‘x’ both leading up to it (the arm of the ‘x’ points towards the iota of the ‘i’ even if they do not touch). Deffo love the design tho. We NEED Zimri on The Futur’s logo redesign. Also, have you heard of Webflow?

The design is moving in the right direction, however I won't consider it done; the logo looks unbalanced because of the X which is not wide enough to even out the W, making the X stick out like a sore thumb.

I think the 'x' stand out a bit too much. The gap at the bottom between 'i' and the 'x' is really large. I think would also be better if the 'x' was a bit wider, and the inside corners on the sides were more round.

These little design challenges are always fun. Would like to see the "Wi" part without the dot above the "i", and instead slice it from the top of the final stroke of the "W". Might tighten up the lockup.

You can definitely go further with this new design. The original logo had half rounded ends on the letter forms. Try softening them just a bit. This will further separate it from "the square space". Speaking of space, the space between the W and X could use a bit of work. There's too much white space there.

Interesting idea! I think the new logo you created could be refined a bit more. The new logo doesn’t quite read as wix to me, and I start to see it more as a squiggle than a “w” or just an “i” with movement. I personally think the previous logo looks more balanced and readable than the new logo you created. However, I like the idea for the video and it would actually be interesting to see a part 2 where you consider more revisions, maybe even some style tiles, and a mock-up of the brand identity and how it would work in different applications to see how everything works together.

Hey B, it looks like he may have used the shape builder tool, Shift-M and then Shift to add or Alt to subtract pieces. Make sure you have all the pieces selected before you Shift-M otherwise you wont be able to isolate the overlapping elements. Hope this helps!

doesn't flow and the negative space between the i and the x makes it looked disconnected, the slanted i and the x don't match I think it's better than the original but it can be improved for sure.

I think Im a bit harsh but I think this ones worse than the original by a few times lol. Maybe if I didn't know it was a Wix logo and u just ask me what this new logo is I probably won't be able to tell. It's somewhere between being a simplistic illustration/drawing/picture and "Wix" text but it's not both. The logo is barely readable and all the unbalances just makes it :/.
