Hello design champs! Today I ranked 10 of the last redesigns from large companies. I think the majority of the rebrands are done well and provided the companies with a more functional design. A few of them were definitely a miss though, and unfortunate but they all provide a great learning experience for us, the onlookers.

I think the new F1 looks awesome. Cars are upgraded so they need a modern logo too. Looks clean with the gradient. Old one is fun but the red spiky part... idk

I thought it was a bit weird until I noticed it still has the "1" in it, just rotated 90 deg. Now it's fast and totally king savic.

The first logo was great, but the amount of lines made me want to puke. This one is at least more sleek.

I think the new F1 logo should've been in the top tier, especially if you'd look up the complete rebrand. The font on its own is a masterpiece, the letter represent corners and parts of a race circuit (it also has 3 variants). The new website and television UX and UI are also very well executed. The logo itself is really modern as you said and fits the direction that F1 is going perfectly, also it's radiating more 'speed' than the previous logo.

Chobani made a great choice, their old typeface looks like a Designer fashion brand imo. The new version suits the product to perfection! Taco Bell on the other hand..... yikes

exactly. i only didnt love the offwhite packaging on the new one. the tacobell one to me sucked but i also kinda like it somehow. i think if they changed the purple and the font it could be a decent modern redesign

@@aitor.online I quite liked the off-white packaging. All their products are natural, organic ingredients. That same offwhite colour is seen in organically made packaging, so it makes sense and fits, it had a purpose and wasn't just a random choice I believe! but I get how people may not like it, the glossy white is very clean looking and makes the product look refreshing/appetising! It would look very good either-or. I can see what Taco Bell tried to do, though it just wasn't executed well. The latest one doesn't look appetising or exciting, whereas the one before looked alive and had some character!

@@TusKSociety yeah no i get why they did it like it makes sense. however they could have a million reasons why and i still wouldnt wanna buy it if i saw it at the store. in the end all that matters is that people buy it and i atleast personally would not. i just think its an ugly color of offwhite (that ar it doesnt feel like it matches somehow. maybe the green is too light so theres not enough contrast). and i 100% agree about the tacobell edit: upon secon review i like it and idk why i hated it so much the first time

Yo Zimri, recently visitid your yt page to check out older videos of yours and came up with an awesome video idea (not that you need any). Since the photo in your banner looks like it has been made like 4 years ago I thought it would be a cool idea if you let the design champs design you a new one. You can give them some files to work with/some restrictions and then you can review/redesign them and pick your favorite. Love the content, keep up the good work!

That was the worst one for me. It's like someone who doesn't know technology really well, doesn't know how to make logos, and doesn't know how to type, created that for their local library really quick.

The Chobani redesign is absolutely great. So much more appetizing, it feels almost rustic and I love that font. Their new commercials with their new logo make the brand much more enticing

Totally agree with your list, and Chobani is my favourite. It used to look clinical, sterile, scientific. It now looks more organic and natural, but also the off-white matte effect on their packaging helps convey a sort of high-end intelligence to the brand. Very 2020, very on point.

I agree with everything you said apart from Slack. I'd move it up a tier, I think the old icon is too convoluted and the simplification was needed and they added a fun twist too. 7 chest pats from me 👌

For the Library Logo, I believe the word "LIBRARY' is designed to mimic a bookshelf and also a book has a title both on the spine and the front cover

I can't believe I actually agree with all his criteria, except for Chobami, which should have been ranked Costco Foodcourt or even Mr. C, because that's definitely not at the same level as the MailChimp rebrand. Nice video!

Warner Bros' new logo is actually one of their first (1929) logo's. It's practically the same, but with an outline removed and color added. Just like they used the 1972 logo with some new colors for the current Warner Music Group logo. It's a trend with a lot of companies. Graphics design is like fashion: everything comes back every 10 years or so :)

Go Daddy icon is GO intertwined, in the shape of a heart. Also the first G is an arrow that might represent movement/"go for it". I like the logo.

F1 should be rated higher. F&1 are clearly visible, while making a Race Track out of it, so the meaning is not lost. I felt it should be in King Savic.

pretty entertaining video. I think the only I disagree with is the Formula 1 redesign. If you showed a mock-up of the new logo on an actual Formula 1 car, it would give a better perspective on why did they make it as long, as it looks pretty slick on there

I think the new F1 logo is meant to look like part of a race track with the start gate being the one and the F being the first turn with lines on the road, as such I think it actually added meaning not lost significance.

The best rebrand was what Taco Bell did for the movie, Demolition Man. It’s an amazing logo and they should have kept it as their actual logo, rather than just being temporary.
