I Remade Jimmy Wong's Breya Deck. It's Insane 

Hey everyone. I just wanted to put a disclaimer out there. I did use a more "click bait" title and thumbnail. Absolutely. As I look to innovate and pull more eyes to my material, this is a necessary evil for pretty much all RU-vidrs. I don't want to get stuck in the generic "This commander - Ultimate deck list" cycle. That sounds miserable to me. That is how Magic RU-vidrs quit actually. From my point of view, as long as the content is worth watching that is all that matters. I want to be very clear that this is a positive move for the channel. It is a positive move for my mental well being, as I know I have a chance to reach a broader audience. I will certainly still be producing content that is similar to what I have always done - Deck techs. Linear, but high quality builds. But we won't be able to have one without the other, and I hope you can see why. And unfortunately, there are behind the scenes things happening that I can't yet disclose, and this type of Title/Thumbnail combo is a litmus test, which is all I will say on that matter. If at any point the quality of the material deteriorates, I will take a serious step back to reexamine my process, but until then we make the necessary steps. Moving forward to better the channel for the long run, not just a short sprint.

What I loved about Jimmy's build is that you can see the Command Zone written all over it: Vedalken Orrery, Vicious Shadows, Sensei's Divining Top, etc. These are all cards that don't necessarily "help" Breya's gameplan, but definitely add personal flavour to the built and I think that's amazing.

Interesting, I would love to see a series about these sort of old-timey EDH strategies. In defense of Jimmy's lack of combos for Breya, as a fellow Breya enjoyer, you get tired of the combos really quickly. Like, even if you can combo with her, you don't HAVE to! I have changed my Breya deck up like 8 times now and the more I do, the fewer the combos, more artifact synergy, more recursion, more junk to make my constructs bigger, gigantic, chunky artifacts! Just a lot of battlecruiser fun possibilities with Breya, not saying your Bro's playstyle is wrong, just that Breya can be so much more than just a combo queen!

I think you are an excellent Deckbuilder and I really enjoy your upcoming videos. Breya was also my first Commander and the reason why I started my addiction.^^ My favorite decks you created and I really enjoy are xyris and davros. Not only because they are powerful, but also because these decks interact with my opponents in a good way, which as a result, people do not tend to hate me that much and it doesn't end up in a solitaire game, where most of the time I play my combopieces and win the game. That´s why I don't enjoy Commander decks like Edgar Markov or Animar. Anyway you are doing great content and i am looking forward to see more amazing videos. 😃👍

Cranial Plating was part of the Invent Superiority Precon Commander deck featuring Breya, which came out around the same time. Maybe there was some basis or card usage from that deck?
