I hope Magpie gets better and can enjoy her new home with her sisters. Also, I’m glad you, your mom and the mice are all okay after that close call. Near-collisions with deer can be just as traumatic as actually hitting them. Thankfully your superior MarioKart skills saved everyone (including the deer!) from receiving any damage. ☺️💕

An idea I had for helping raise money once the rescue is off the ground: symbolically adopting an animal. The sea turtle rescue I visited many years ago did this. You could choose an animal you were interested in, and you pay a certain amount of money (or monthly donations I'm not sure), and you get a cute little picture of them. But my favorite part was that they would send you an email once a month with pictures and updates about them every month until they were released. My turtle was called Mahi, and though she was released many years ago I think about her often. This wouldn't really make sense for animals that wouldn't be in your care for very long, but if an animal that needs special care comes in it could be a cute idea.

Aww poor Magpie, I’ve always hated giving rats meds when they won’t eat it in food and it must be even harder to do it with a tiny lil mouse! Hope she feels better soon, they’re so sweet

I love your mouse videos so much. I have a little mouse sanctuary (they are all mine) and your videos have been so helpful through the years. Also, I loved the zoom in on her peeing on the fleece… I have a special sweatshirt that I wear for that exact reason.

Pidgeon is really nice. I believe it can be marked dove splashed or maybe dove black tricolor. I think it can be marked dove merle aswell

Awh I'm so glad they found a good home 🥰 And hopefully Magpie will be back to full health soon 💚 I really admire what you're doing with your rescue, one of my goals when I can get the funds is to start a rescue for solo gerbils, to find them a friend and a good home, it's so sad seeing them in bad situations, and even sadder when they're all alone 😞

I absolutely love these types of videos. I started watching you several years ago when I had rats. I unfortunately stopped keeping them when my last two passed last year, considering I'm in the middle of pursuing my veterinary technician degree and didn't feel like I have the time to spend with them, clean cages, vet funds, etc. But a few months ago, one of my local corporate chain pet stores had an oops litter of mice, and were trying to adopt the babies out for free. The runt honestly looked way too small to be away from the mother, but all the rest looked the correct age/size, soooo I ended up with my first mouse 😬🥲🤣 I just couldn't deal with the thought of someone buying him for noodle food, or not taking care of him correctly. I went back like three days in a row to see him before I finally took the plunge 😂I'm so glad I did, because he is literally the sweetest mouse, and so friendly, I think I won the first mouse jackpot lol Anyway, this was the first video of yours since then that I've been able to watch (still busy with school), and it felt so cool to finally be able to watch your mouse content and have a mouse. Anyway, keep doing what you're doing and being amazing!

Sorry to hear about the close encounter with the deer. 😬That can be so scary but glad you and your mum made it out unscathed. Shame on that other driver though! Alaskan cages are great for emergency cages...i had loads of them when i had rats.

The mice, though in a slightly small cage, were living a better life than probably 99% of all pet mice in the country. I recently rescued 8 adult mice who were living in a 10 gallon tank. That was ROUGH!!

They are all so cute. I hope she'll be fine soon so she can go to her new home. It's great that they have already got one :) I adopted 8 mice 2 days ago and I've seen a girl chewing bars today. I'm so sorry, I would love to put in more enrichment, I've got a lot but I can't do that yet. They only know each other for a couple of days and I don't want to stress them to much by putting in lots of stuff. But luckily they are really calm and friendly till now, so I'm hoping to give them more space soon. They've only got ~25 cm bedding, a bridge, a stairway, a platform and some branches till now. If they stay calm they will get a cork tunnel and a house that week and than I will open up the next section. The girls are very curious only the boys are extremly shy, but their all fine as far as I can tell. They belonged to a woman that kept 50 mice and several rats in very small cages, they were all taken away from her, went to a shelter and then to a foster home. Many were pregnant, so some of my mice were born after the rescue and some before/at the shelter. Only non of them is used to be handled yet. 😅

I looking for new home but no look I'm very worried about wrong people to take them for snake food etc. I'm located in West Yorkshire xx

Have you got any tips on finding a suitable vet for rats, I've not had any luck so far they've all been a bit unhelpful found one that is a bit better than the last but definitely not a rat expert!

Hi, off topic but I need some help. So my rat had a facial abscess that popped, it was about the size of a gum ball, it then popped, fell off, and is now healing. The vet prescribed antibiotics and now my rat has another abscess forming next to/ behind the old one. It also caused her cornea to rupture. Any advice will help. Thank you! 🐀

oh and pluss they die on their own but jasmine was not alone she was in a little bed that my mum made. we gave her 2 apples and a broken biscuit. but the next day i went to check on her but she was in the middle of the cage lie ing there so i tuck her out and saddly saw that sh was dead. she was y mouse my sises where crying with a stop but i did not have a stop to my crying bisness😰😥😥😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I dont ever think the stop biting the bars No matter what as Long as they have them. I just put them where they cant bite the bars and make the horrible annoying noice..
