This guy`s knowledge of engines and basically building quality items from scrap is astounding! His talent has no bounds, and I personally would like to see a part two. I have watched many of his video`s and all of his builds have been a work of art. You Sir, are a legend and I very much enjoy your work, well done. 🙏👏👏👏 Shared.
Doing a restoration like this with a shop full of the best tools would be next to impossible. The fact that Mr. Ho gets it done with a bare minimum of tools is astounding. Unbelievable
I just realized why I love your videos: your work is art. Who cares about restoration…well I do. But what is it about your videos? The art of your craft. Thank you!
Same here in the UK, it’s not economically viable to restore something like this, it’s much easier and cheaper, less hassle to do an internet search if you do wish to find a much better example to restore. This video will earn this craftsman a living, whilst we enjoy the novelty of seeing something what we regard as well beyond repair, back to life. Well done to him.
I was a mechanic for 50 years and worked on diesel fuel injection systems for 45 of them. I have to say that I was impressed with your overhaul of that injection system, however, I shuddered whenever I saw you buff those nozzles and the high pressure plunger with the wire wheel. I also shuddered when I saw you put those corroded rollers and that cam plate back in there. Maybe on that small application it wouldn't be all that bad but if you were to use it in an industrial application they wouldn't last an hour before they completely shattered...
I agree, there can't be a heavy use load for this engine, but I think it is more of an experiment in restoring something that is in effect destroyed beyond reasonable use. You have to admire him, he's a survivor.
@@MillwalltheCat It'll be interesting to see once its in the cylinders if it sprays, I mean the vane pump looked in decent shape, and it made it bench test. Its stunning how corroded that thing was and underwater and hes bringing it back, even if it barley runs, super entertaining and impressive.
I can't wait for part 3, great restoration on the fuel pump! I honestly would have changed at least all the round up screws but this would be against the challenge to buy the bare minimum of parts new!
I am stunned that he got that pump to work. So much pitting and corrosion I figured it was shot. The motor? Well, its as bad as the pump. It's going to burn a lot of oil.
Mr. Ho God gave you a gift of hands of gold!!! You are supremely talented and patient. It is a pleasure to watch your videos!!! Thank you!!! Please do more!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I find it incredibly hard to believe this engine will run again, with the metal literally crumbling into piwder and all that sediment inside the engine block, it is near impossible. If he does somehow manage to get it to run, it'd be incredibly dangerous and I'd definitely not want to be in close proximity to it. It does make for really interesting content though and I'm excited to see what else he can do to overcome this seemingly impossible task.
This is sure a not impossible but rather a difficult restoration cuz most of the engine parts were crumbling. Quite amazing how this guy manage to do it 👏
Did you know that there is something in life that is more valuable than anything? No it's not money or skill.. It's time. Time you can spend.. But never get back. Spend it wisely..
