You should do more of these challenges and turn it into a bi-weekly / monthly thing to engage with your audience and teach your filmmaking and cinematography techniques! I really loved the challenge and can't wait to participate in the next one! Heck, I wouldn't even mind paying like $5-$10 as an entry fee as a way of supporting you and for compensating the time you take to review all the videos and choose winners! (No prize necessary, the information you give via the critiques are plenty)

I really enjoyed watching the clips and hearing your thoughts. It's been very educational and inspirational. I'm not a short film maker but as a RU-vid content creator I do kinda make short films, just not in movie context so this has been useful thank you
Really digging this "do a challenge" and then review some of the entries. Also your presentation on CineSummit a couple years ago had such good content! Def worth repeating here :) I'm curious if you could pick only 3 prime lenses from your arsenal for a trip what would they be in order of most important to least important?
Thanks for the creative challenge and the use of our film in your thumbnail! Looking forward to more challenges. In our attempt to negate away from the common theme of thriller, we actually decided to do like a juxtaposition of a thriller (ie intense scenes/sound score) and comedy (i.e. we're actually just portraying making sausages). Hence, the film was called Sweeney (you know, Sweeney Todd -- who made pies out of dead people). Again thanks for the review! Really great comments on cinematography and flow. P.S. - you didn't completely "butcher" my name. See the irony? HAHA
the last short film, i think it is quite easy to understand because I've seen a similar plot somewhere... in facts there is a ghost or another paranormal being which is trying to get the main character in the same place as him (to scare him? devour him? offer him some cookies?) by behaving and copying his room mate's voice features: what is interesting is that we are living the situation together with the protagonist knowing exactly what he knew in that specific moment.
RIP. Thanks for the review. I can pretty much say there reason you don't know the plot is because there isn't one. Just a dude coming in from outside and wanting to drink some water. Then it gets a little weird. Once again, appreciate the review and the idea to make something over the weekend with a buddy. Keep on keeping on.

I would assume that the Sweeney video's ending is a direct take on Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Sondheim's famous Broadway musical about a barber who starts killing people and grinding them up to make meat pies.
That 25% thing is really relevant especially in the vlogging scene. I'm trying to make viewers stick to the end of my videos with the first 5 seconds and it's haaaaaaard. But I'll be better.
Hi Brandon, Would you mind to teach me how to import ARW (raw) to photoshop CS6 ?? I have tried many PNG convertor or Adobe camera raw, but it still pop up the same warning. I am using a6500. THX

I've always used Audioblocks to mixed results and was curious what you use. Would love to see a video on how you do your sound editing and design. Keep up the great work and thank you!
Hi Brandon a? Did you dump the a6300 it's not listed in your gear profile ya I know you got the a6500. Set up a few story shorts videos for you to review there is a lot of good feed back even if you can only review a few as you know the the more we learn the better the content. Thanks JoP
its funny that you thought the hacker one with the transition in the beginning was a ticking clock. The ticking sound actually comes from the mechanical keyboard he has.
