Thats interesting. I don’t mind the pressure on the sides of my head at all. The only thing about them I dislike it how they’re charged - lightning. I have an iPad with USB C, a Mac and an iPhone that can be charged wirelessly, same with the watch. The only device I can’t charge wirelessly or with USB C is the AirPods Max, which annoys me daily as I wear them a lot. Your videos are so much fun. Thank you for your efforts!
You'll most definitely return to AirPods Pro. At this point, after almost 2 years with AirPods Pro, I can't buy headphones and not have any sort of issue, to the point I can't even use gaming headphones because I'm not used to the weight or the clamping in the cheeks and ears, as you stated with the AirPods Max. I still hope you have a good run with XM5s and possibly end up keeping them. Awesome vid.
They made the Airpods pro 2 way too good.. the gains in convenience trumps out the gains in audio quality with the max. But yeah, xm5 is the last stop for me.
Thank you sooo much for the Airpods Max they are absolutely terrific and thanks for looking after me with an good price. Im currently watching this video on it and its insane riding my skateboard with noise cancelation is going to be abit sketchy now😅, but 900 dollars is abit absurd😭 apple fix your prices!!.
Ive got the XM4 for quite some time now and been contemplating on the XM5s the AirPods Max is out of the question for me because of the its price I would buy a way better Audiophile Headphone with that price, but when I AB'd the XM5 against the XM4s there's some notable difference but my main thing is the sound output I observed that the XM4s have a much warmer sound (it all depends on every listeners preference) than the XM5s plus the way the XM5s was presented it became way more bigger and much more difficult to carry around than the XM4s, the XM4 is way more portable see how it folds down to a really good portable size that the AirPods Max and XM5s cannot match, anyways, I am holding on to my XM4 a little longer and see what comes out next to match it, your review shells out alot of information thanks for sharing your video,
Since I spend most of my commuting time on the subway, I am using the XM4, which noise cancels heavier and louder sounds. However, I think the XM5 will definitely be better for those of you who work in places with high-pitched sounds, such as cafes. Good choice!
i feel you and same things happened to me bro , they are the only headphones that fit me but they are crazy crazy heavy... i see people workout with them and am like how on earth..
Just discovered your vids, awesome. Subbed directly. Sharing my experience, I tried all of them, got the XM5 at the beginning, but I got rid of it after 8 months of painful experience with it. Got back to Bose but with the QC45 (before the new version came out).. Definitely prefer this one. Why ? In few words : Touch sensor experience. Longer now: I definitely HATE it. Why? Can't use comfortably on a bed, on your couch, on gym (sweating) or anyplace with the touch sensor. For those who don't believe me, put your head on the pillow with the XM5, you will understand what I'm talking about. The ergonomy of the headset (touch sensor) s**ks. Sad because the sound and the mic are waaay better than the bose one. It's the main problem with all Sony XMx...and now Bosewant to put these on Bose Ultra...I pass lol Anyway Love your channel already. And how you make videos
I wanna also scream Froooooooooooggg!!! Dude I am really jealous of you, your kids voices coming from the back ground and that is so cute; I as a teenager really admire your marriage, you two are also so cute and such an admirable couple. I really wish for all of your happiness but also I really wish this channel stay this small because I don't it to be a rich channel and lose its spirit.
I recommend iems over headphones especially for longer periods of time listening to podcasts or music and for headphone i would really recommend the koss kph40 , and for iems i recommend the aful preformer 5 . These recommendations are for sound and comfort and aesthetics purely these aren't wireless .
I have the max and bose and it's the bose for me. I have probably used my max 5 times in a year. I even had a set of bose quiet comfort 2 that I would wear over the max until the material started coming off
I got the Bose. Best sounding headphones I've ever used and even feel light weight. But too clunky for the gym and using on the go. So i only ever use them at home lol. On the go i prefer open ear buds since i value being able to hear my surrounding without artificial transparency mode, and I don't need noise cancelling since the whole point is being able to interact with people outside while not having to take off my earbuds
Usually these headphones have to be worn regularely before you get used to the feeling on your head. Also the headphone over time adjusts a bit to your head shape and will get more comfortable.
Tip: try a Beoplay (Bang & Olufson) headphone. Very comfortable, decent noise canceling, really good sound quality, and less expensive than the Airpod Max.
As an XM5 owner, they're definitely the way to go! Just beware the 'vegan leather' isn't very breathable, so you'll sweat under the headphones if it's hot outside or you're working out.
Love your videoooos!!!!! I use the Steelseries Arctis nova pro wireless. Its a gaming headset but i do love them and it has taken place of my earphones, recommend ppl to check it out
Try Bose QC45 (not the Ultra), they comfortable. Transparency is above good. I had the same issue with AirPods Max, it’s stronger than being clamped with a woman’s thigh 😁
I've had both xm5 and xm4 and I had the same exact issue, xm5 were pressing against my hair and were squinching them hard, so I switched for the cheaper xm4 it was so much better, overall they are better for the price, I think you should take a look at them, you can get them really cheap! :)
This video was hilarious! I just got a pair and absolutely love them (on my head they feel so comfy, not to tight at all). But agreed on the price. I used a voucher and a trade in on an old iPad so I only had to pay $300 lol. Otherwise they would have been a no go.
I'm actually surprised you haven't given a go to Sennheiser Momentum 4. I used Sony XM5s for a month then sold it to get Momentum 4, never looked back. My take on these 2 is XM5: - Better software - Better noice cancellation Momentum 4: - Significantly better battery life - Better sound for at least my taste (both out of the box and with some tuning) - More comfortable
Im used to using headphones that are on the ear and hurt my ear to the extent it doesn’t even bother me. Although i do wish they fix it with the airpods max 2.
YO MY BRO! YOU BETTER BE HITTING THE GYM!!! LOL Remember me from the uber Josh and Tiarne, big guy heading to the work function?? Hope you good my bro.. but I don't see a workout video or gym video yet...??? Hmm..
I think i gone through every earbuds you can think of 35 pairs to be exact and end up picking up the the mifo 07 with no noise cancellation due to it being light weight and good sound when combined with foam tips but super shit phone calls and flimsy case. I might give the XM5 headphone a try at JB. I have ptsd from my beats studio 2 clamp force.
I have Bose QC 45. It was great at first, but then the ear pad ripped off in like 3 month. Even though I was really gentle with it. And I only used it for less than 2 hours a day. Only during my lunch and daily commute. Then I purchased some replacement ear pad from a third party in Amazon. It didn't block any noise. Then I spent like $50 getting it directly from Bose. I dont know either I applied them wrong or Bose have really bad quality control, cause the new ones arent as good as the original pads that came with the headphone. Moral of the story, go for Sony XM5. 😢
just keep stretching the band bro! or keep it on a headphone stand that forces it to stretch a bit! break it in and i think you'll resolve your problems
The moment you chose Airpods Max I knew you made the wrong decision and that you're gonna regret it later. The main complaint for Airpods Max is that it's too heavy and uncomfortable after a while so the XM5s always win for long-term work focus. I've watched ANC reviews of these as well and XM5 does better than Airpods Max in most situations.
Love your channel! How’s the Pixel 8? Missing Airdrop yet?? 😅 Oh and I am jealous of Koreans with Aussie accent. I’m stuck with my lame Korean SoCal accent… F*%£$@ck!!!
For some reasons i hated the xm5, I have to wear glasses at the same time so it is quite painful to wear them for 5min...i think earpods are a better value now that the earpods technology has evolved so much.
I was today years old when I found out airpods max are 899. Bro... there is NO WAY a headphone can cost more than an iphone. Specially if they're not actually wired (You can lightning to 3.5, but come on, wtf is that)
