@@SongbirdGaming Thanks. Inspired by the last scene of The Green Hornet, when they are trying to decide on Kato's hero name. Cinnamon is just my favorite color. 😁
I literally was going to make my first comment ever to Josh to say exactly that. "Josh walks past 10,000 bird nests and then wastes all his money buying eggs." I never ever walk past a bird nest until I have 3 dozen eggs. Oh, and do you know what else you can sell? ARROWS YOU MUPPET. Get a couple hundred feathers, make a huge pile of arrows, and sell.
Poor old Josh sounding like he's got a throat full of ground glass like he just started a stun baton playthrough. Honey and lemon and hot water, and take a break asap buddy.
That pigeon AND that dog are the ones that got me, too, Josh!!! "Where did you come from?!?!?!" Also, I bought a cooking pot for $600 then realized that I could have just made one in the forge I already had! I'm a sausage!
Poor Josh, at one point when he was talking about just needing 1 book to make the Forge so he could get a cooking pot... he was standing in front of a Trailer that had been run through by a car, there should be a cement mixer out the back there which would've given him the book he needed. I've noticed a lot of little treasures like cement mixers and dew collectors added into these new Remnant and abandoned lot POIs, seems like half of them have a decent shot at a Work Stations book as well as a few cars for general car'y loot goodness. The new atmospheric POIs are among my favorite things with this update.
@@Hollydudd yeah, the cement mixers were a guaranteed book up until very recently. I'd have to check the release notes to be sure but I think it was the current build (b336) that changed it. First time I saw a cement mixer miss in 1.0 was just last week.
I had to make my own cooking pot, I feel like I checked every house in the neighborhood and got nothing. I did find the grill in a random oven outside though. And to keep up with Josh I've moved into the Crypt, so far so good.
Josh, early on, be a scrapper, sell all your brass and lead for Dukes. There's absolutely no reason for keeping it, because you can't make bullets without a workbench. For what it's worth, you'll be alive to make ammo later. Edit: Josh, JUMPS from the roof, and makes it 6 blocks instead of 5, and sprains his jello ankles. Also Josh: wonders why he hurt himself 🤣
I was having ladder issues over the weekend too, I figured out that it's because I tend to hold the jump key when I'm jumping. I was having a full on Simon moment and couldn't figure out why I wasn't sticking to the ladder but apparently you have to just tap the jump now you can't ride the jump key or it'll throw you back off the ladder... Holding my jump key is an involuntary thing I do like leaning in my seat when I'm dodging projectiles or ducking IRL when a vulture swoops me in game.
Exactly this, I was lucky not to get stuck with zeds trying to climb a ladder, never had this issue before, but like you say just tapping jump once seems to work.
Josh, for the ladders make sure you let go of the spacebar as soon as you can. Your character will not grab the ladder at all while you have the space bar pressed. I think there may be a delay after releasing the space bar before you can grab the ladder but I haven't done any thorough testing on this. The ladders are definitely a little different now.
Josh, remember, what goes up must come down, STOP jumping before you try to get off a building, If you would have just looked straight down and walked off you would have had no issue. You also may want to look into getting the Nerdy boots, built in shock absorbers.
@12:30 man, that reference to the toolbelt full of blunderbi - I definitely don't miss it. I do remember the first time I actually looted a real gun that wasn't a toilet pistol. Its really weird seeing this game grow from 2014.
The sprain reminded me of this livestream moment: Woodle: "Doesn't anyone love me? Doesn't anyone care about Woodle's legs?" Narrator: Fact is, Woodle doesn't care about his own brittle legs.
i noticed the brief speed boost too, seems to happen when you loot/close a container and then move off, you go forward at a higher run speed, you gotta watch that
Hey mate, I'm loving the videos for 1.0. However, I wish you'd grab all of those house plants when you're running through! Don't scrap them though, just put them in the forge for max clay. I never need to dig for clay early on because there are so many potted plants about. Also those ladders are whack...I think I have to jump and release sprint to actually grab the rungs. Cheers.
In the future look for the Wotten Residence. It's a tier 2 but I've found a cooking pot there twice. The first time there was actually 2. There is also a ton of books there.
don't forget to grab that intel doctor perk.... and Parkour! There is a new sprint option but i've found its sticky at times. (Most of the times its off, sometimes its on) Those Detached vehicle fenders also have polymers!
Cmon Woodle, jumping a 5 block distance makes it 6 blocks, 6 blocks if they are ~ 3ft each, that's 18ft onto uneven ground, course that's gonna hurt! Love the video!!
Josh, some of those car parts on the floor are actually plastic. Edit: Also, I found out that in order to run, we don't need to keep pressing shift anymore. Just press it once when you are walking and you will keep running. It stops whenever you are not moving, disengage to press shift once.
I honestly wish there was a menu option just to turn the trader dialogue off. Mostly because of Rekt. But putting him in Pine Forest makes it even more pressing to get to a different biome.
@@1969chgoodwin true. Specific injury related lines would be cool. Jen, “Hey there daredevil. Seen better days?” Rekt, “Seems like you’ve saved me half the work of sticking your own foot up your a**. Don’t make me finish it.”
Dont feel too bad about the like 5 foot drop breaking your leg. When I was a kid, I was jumping on the bed and my mom yelled at me to stop it, id break my leg, so climbing off I slipped on the bedding and... broke my leg.
Please don't give up on fallout now that 7 Dayz is out. I really wanna see the rest of the series. I watch it while I'm doing my own playthrough. I'm currently a legit level 88 going for 100% and i love your content.
Rather than not put in the bottom two rungs of a ladder, I always put in sheets, makes it much more difficult to accidentally jump past it or get stuck under it.
Raspy Woodle after a 1.0 weekend of streaming. Thank you for toughing it out for us muppets. Thank you for still making great content. You're still my favourite RU-vidr. Keep on keepin' on man.
I watched episode 1 while at work so had the vol off, did you announce that each episode would only be one day, or can we expect longer episodes in the future? Love your vids btw, keep "Crackin on"!!!
Josh, took me 3 days and 13 hours to find cooking pot, trader never had one for sale, and then about 10 minutes later I learn ability to make a forge. I was living off 2 vit pills i had each night... so i don't poop myself. I found nice bonus, agility mod for my helm Poor Bob, they change his voice
I've got a theory: Josh has done playthroughs on str(sledge), str(club), fort(fist), agil(knife), perc(snipers). He's never done int(batons). Seems the problem is he's just lacking intelligence experience.
Hey Woodle I tested it yesterday u can pile up the finished quests things nd redeem them all at the same time with a learning elixir to maximize the xp... it's not TOO crazy but will give u a couple skill points... luv ur work lol have a good one
Hi guys, can someone tell me if we create new world now and play till 1.0 stable come out, do we need to create new world or we can continue play on existing one? Thanks❤
I am sure he will realize that falling when encumbered isn't a good idea. It'll just take a few years. But when he find the legendary parts, that will make it all ok.
I think it's funny how Josh and Temreki both started knife builds and both found toilet knives today. lol I liked my A21 knife build but it seems more helpful with 1.0.
I had problems with 2 block high ladders, not in 1.0 but alpha 20, solved it by putting 2 plates at the bottom. Never happened in 21 but might be worth a go.
Lucky you every time I do the Purser Residence the dog is there. I personally think it's criminal to put dogs in tier 1 poi's esp since in the beginning even a sneak attack doesn't put them down
Welp that sprained leg and the response to it just hit so hard. I once broke my foot coming down from the little roof over a front porch. It's not that high, I was safe about it, it absolutely didn't seem like something that would cause such a significant consequence, but it happened nonetheless. You feel so cheated.
Anyone else experience between level 5 to 10 the pack of dogs or a mix of dogs and bears that spawn in the game, almost every time that happens for me. Was expecting Jawoodle to run into them any time now lol.
I believe you broke your leg because you jumped instead of just falling. Plus, a one level difference in the ground from the house to where you fell. There's no "half" block when it comes to fall distance, it's all round up.
I almost choked on my food when you looked back at the roof to see the to see how far the drop really was. I do agree that didnt seem like it was that far. Didnt you say on stream that you believe the rate at which you're traveling has an effect? You sure were cruisin'
Hmm. I had a similar issue that you had, your character sprinting when it shouldn't be. Mine was I was crouched at night, hiding, and for some reason my char was moving like they were running full speed.
Still sound like you've been gargling sand buddy. Take some 'Me' time. My favorite part of the new update: the toggle run. No more pinky sprains on long journeys. If you haven't found it yet, tap the shift key while moving to toggle it in and off.
