@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans Hey Mike, where did ya get that "fence" for the stove? Think'n about getting a new duck dog puppy and I'm gonna need something similar for training and that one looks like a pretty nice one. Just an FYI, I left this question on the previous video. Not sure which one you'd see first.
I too have built cabins at least 3 hours away. I would take pictures of relevant areas, tools, so I could look back at what I needed or already have. Now I take a pic of the frig. before I leave so I don't end up with three mustards, relishes, etc. or none at all!
As a life long rider of all things with two wheels and a motor I think most of you whiners are a bunch of babies. You shouldn’t be at your able to ride anywhere on anything in any condition at anytime.
Mike, I’m a contractor and have learned to pull around the back of Menards buy the wood on their website, show the receipt on my phone to the security guard and drive on in. Saves a ton of time and keeps me from buying snacks. lol
My grandson bought a very productive pulsar scope that has been very productive. $3500 dollars on sale. Records and much more. One shot sight in. Ordered right to his home. 18 years old. 5000$ I thought was really high. He makes shots out to 600 yds so far. 223 on ar frame. You’re welcome to come stay with me in Monroe county Ohio anytime. Enjoy your work ethics. I’m 78 and sill climbing the trees.
mike, what you said in "that" video was heart-felt, and that was obvious. You may never be a politician, because of your sincerity, but that's why you are so liked. Regards from the UK
I also noticed on the inside of that Thermion case, looked like the previous owner’s either dog or some cat hairs were stuck to the fabric. Lol. Good thing you got it returned.
About 10 years ago, my brother came to visit and wanted to go to Cabelas. After walking around the store we stopped by the inhouse cafe. They had Elk and Bison burgers. Each of us got a different type. We split them so we'd get enough to really know if we liked it. We liked both.
Well, you really got me. Seven years of saving. I thought it must be a bulldozer or land w a house on it. I would never have guessed a rifle scope. Kudos to you for checking it out thoroughly before leaving the store. Very, very wise, and boy, did it pay off!! Me? I would have rushed home to mount it, THEN try it out. You just taught me a valuable lesson. Thank you. Just another great benefit on your channel. I am very amazed at the Buffalo Turbine!! That thing is awesome! It blew leaves halfway across your yard! You deserved the steel, autographed sign. That was nice of them. There's just innumerable reasons to follow your channel. Always great stuff. In over 6 years now, I've been a subscriber. I put your channel at the top of my favorite list over 6 years ago, and you're still there!! Incredible, my RU-vid friend!! Can't thank you enough!! Bless you.👍🚜❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
I'm from Eau Claire, WI, home of Menards. John Menard had a disagreement with Dewalt years back. Dewalt wanted to be the sole power tool sold at Menards and John said no...or so I heard. I'm also a Dewalt guy. We have Farm & Fleet as well as Fleet Farm stores up here so we still have plenty of places to buy everything Dewalt sells. As far as the 2x4s, most Menards stores I've been to will have 8' 2x4s inside the store, so you don't have to go out back just for a few boards.
Funny short story, just got in trouble, the wife walked in and caught me watching the Morgan's without her. So I get to watch it twice today! I'm a lucky man. Appreciate you all. Elk makes great burgers. A treat and very available here on the westside of the cascades.
Very cool that buffalo sent you a sign. I have had the same problem with cabellas selling damaged returns. Always check. Really sux when you add several hours of drive time due to a poorly run store. You’re gonna love thermal.
Now that’s a leaf blower! I’m glad I’m not the only one that has terrible luck when buying things I’ve saved for. Can be very disappointing but good customer service, especially in the U.S cheers me up.
The drive to your cabin was awesome--just like here in N.C. You and I do share a bit in common. Not only do our political thoughts align, but your philosophy regarding credit cards also is spot on the same as mine. I have several cards that I use for various purposes and none carry a balance. It's all about the interest, Daddy. This year my truck will be paid off, which will allow me if I so choose to increase my payments on my tractor, which is now under $9,000. My credit rating is A+, and I would bet so is yours. We are ready for anything. Hopefully, our children do likewise as we say and not necessarily as we do. And, at least your ride home from Cabela's was with a sense of contentment and relief instead of anger and frustration. Long life good customer support! Be good. Those Elk burgers looked so inviting!
Mike, my son has the Thermion 2 LRF XQ50 Pro. He loves it. For coyotes it is awesome. Sounds like Cabelas. Too bad you don’t have Scheels stores out there. Much better. We have a cabelas right here in town, and I haven’t set foot in there store for years. 27th of October and I still haven’t fired up the outdoor boiler. Usually she is fired by now. Looks like 50’s to 70’s all next week here in southern Minnesota. We’ll take it.
Highly recommend a hybrid hot water heater for a low power solution. The key is if it can be installed in a spot with enough ambient heat in the air to allow it to put that heat into the water tank AND help dehumdify the air in the cabin in the hotter months especially. Love ours and it cut our energy bill by 1/3rd on average and 30% of total cost and install labor is a credit on your taxes for energy efficiency improvement.
Good morning Mike, congrats on your new scope, you will love it. Glad you didn't leave the parking lot before checking it out 1st and were able to go return it for a new 1. Can't wait to see the cabin again.
You can simply walk to the yard with a cart to get the few pieces of wood. The mill desk is to get a ticket for quantities larger than what you can get on the cart.
Elk is delicious. Enjoy. I saw a guy buy an ATV at Cabelas with his points. He is a contractor, so he would use the card to buy supplies and paid it off weekly. What a great way to accumulate points.
A suggestion Mike. I have a cabin in the woods much like you. Plan on a fan upstairs, especially for summer. You won't think it will get hot, but it will.
Buffalo Turbine is in my neck of the woods and have bought one of their turbines. So I let them know about your channel and purchase. Good people for sure!
Mike, next time you take the tractor down to the cabin take that buffalo blower that would clean up your driveway down there with all those Pineneedles real nice
Always fun to watch your progress. Keep speaking your mind. Too few people are courageous enough to do that. They would rather let the talking "news" do it for them.
I upgradded my Superduty with an 60 gallon aftermarket fuel tank. I can easily go 900 miles between refills. I love not having to stop for fuel. I highly recommend.
Nice scope, glad it is all going to work out ok :) That leaf blower is fantastic, it is the best thing for leaves i have ever seen. It probably would make a good fire started on the burn pile, from a long distance. Don't know if you can slow the wind down so you don't set the forest on fire LOL When you get the scope, after 7 years, and you put it in use, it will just be that much sweeter. Cabin looking great. ty for sharing your videos. I could almost smell and taste the elk burgers. yumm ❤💯🙏
Hi Mike. Found your channel by accident a few months and it has quickly become the one I look forward the most to watch. I was happily surprised that you are located in my general area (Monroeville here). Question - what is the brand of lighter that you use to start your fire pit fires? I want to get one and some fire starter for my sons who live in the Charlotte NC area. Godspeed to you and your family.
Mike, I have the exact same thermal scope you just bought. It is amazing once you figure out how to use it you will love it. Next get yourself the handheld version. I have that as well and it's a great compliment to the scope.
Michael, where is your drone shot of your tree that would be a good one I haven’t seen you flying a drone lately. I fly mine every day. I wanna see you fly yours over the trees to see a beautiful tree and the leaves from above.
Good morning, T & G is looking great! Much of the radical left have combed down. All that negativity isn't working. A small camper hot water heater might serve your shower house ok. Kubota made a lo boy series of diesel generators that were vary quite. Set in an insulated cube you wouldn't even hear the little hmm they put out. A 7500KW might even be enough for a single source to supply cabin and shower house. We ran a 4KW Onan 2 cylinder gas engine that We couldn't hear it running under the sleeper. It only ran about 1800 rpm which makes them vary affiant. Gord Potter gp outdoors. has solar powered cabin up in Ontario. With a Generac gen for a back up.
Hey Mike....If you go with an INVERTER Generator they run EXTREMELY QUIET they have to be as most are installed in RV's and most campgrounds have noise ordinance limits.
Good morning boys and girls! Granville Ma here. The acorns are so prolific that walking through our trails, with so many under foot, is actually difficult.
Mike, you mentioned about the shower house for the cabin. JOOLCA makes products for RV'ers or off-grid. On demand water heater for showering, uses propane, and electric from a jackery. You can probably do something similar with products from Minard's, Lowe's, etc... Too bad about the rifle scope.
I love your new scope and your new one will be great!. I bought an ATN night & day vision scope that records and also let's someone at home watch my hunt live at home for $800.00. I strictly use it for coyote hunting and I love it, I've taken out 13 since spring. I shined a laser on the barn at night got it in the cross hairs pressed a button and it's automatically dial in!, it's dead on!. You will definitely love yours I'm sure its better and the guaranteed warranty is awsome!.
Mike, does not matter what you say there are those that look for ANY thing they can gripe about I have no feeling either way about those kind of block heads. It was a great talk you gave even though we are not on the same path of thought, love you Mike God bless you.
I was on an atv ride in northern MI last Thursday and Friday and I ran across a deer hunter and he said that usually he keys in on the areas with a lot of oaks because of all the acorns that the deer come to feed on, and he said this year he is finding almost no acorns anywhere. Funny how things are different in different areas
Oak trees cycle every few years. White oaks and red oak are on different cycles. It doesn't have alot to do with how hard the winter is gonna be, that's just farmers almanac trying to sell more books. 😮
For your water stuff look at RV stuff go 12 volt with a Lithium battery to power pumps with a small solar panel like on your trailer and a propane heater with a 40 lb tank
