Hey now, is it the dawn or the end? The hours we talked You wished we'd stopped Acting like it's nothing at all In the first act, you'll gun 'em all The kick back in New York Shoulder was always hard to ignore Hey! Even if I'm on your side I saw the way you close your eyes Even if I'm on your side I saw the way you close your eyes Hey now, the slip, the doubt, the itch You bow so long to live beyond Now you're walking, humming your song Mirror in the bathroom, nails getting long Aw please, tell me I'm wrong In the third act, it's gotta go off Hey! Even if I'm on your side I saw the way you close your eyes Even if I'm on your side I saw the way you close your eyes Even if I'm on your side I saw the way you close your eyes Even if I'm on your side I saw the way you close your eyes
im here bc of life is strange 🥺 i found this song a long time ago when i started playing lis. one of their songs was in the game and i couldnt stop listening..
I haven’t seen anyone talking meaning that makes sense, what I get from this is that. This could be about a person venting to someone about a shooting, or murder of some kind and told to much and hint that he liked killing or may not have, that’s why the “kick back in your shoulder is always hard to ignore”, and acts normal. And the friend sees the satisfaction or horror in the persons eyes. And the friend is supportive in a way by saying even if Im on your side I can see the satisfaction of it in your eyes. And then Since the person loved the thrill of the murder or whatever they’ve tried to live straight and beyond but slips so “so In the third act it’s gotta go off” I’ve listened to this song countless times trying to make sense out of it and if it wasn’t about a murder of some kind it wouldn’t of mentioned the gun or the kick of the gun. Love this song 100%, something you feel deep
Brad Gray yes sir!! They played it the second time they came out when we were making tons of noise for the encore, I'll put the video up it'll be ok my page keep a lookout :)
Carlosmotopro nice! We were definitely in the same section from your video! That was my viewpoint for that entire show! It was great. That was my 4th time seeing them, but the first time seeing them indoors! They get better every time!
Carlosmotopro the times outside were twice at the music fest In Louisville(Forecastle and where I live). The other time was at some fashion show in Columbus(it was weird, but they were great). I'm seeing them for the 5th time this Wednesday when they roll through Louisville! There aren't many bands that get better the more times you see them live. They're definitely one of them! 😃
Definitely! That's cool man never been to Louisville, I'll have to check it out, definitely wanna see them on the west coast with palm trees, their music keeps progressing too and not many bands sound good live either they sound better live which is super rare
You are a bunch of living light and manipulators of sound waves and transforming into cool songs like this :D I started to listen you since Ceilings (i really loved it :) ) and i liked the way you make quiet music Keep going all of you are doing awesome :D Greetings from argentina!
Aaron Mitchell they can't, the reason is because they actually take their time to make sure their songs/sound sounds perfect and as a group harmonize very well and connect well. Plus they sound fantastic live
I saw them live and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I've seen radio head and fleetwood mac and a bunch of other big bands live and local natives is still the best show I've ever been to. Their voices are so incredible live that it makes their recordings sound bad. They are truly, in my opinion, one of the best groups of all time
Another great song! You guys really rock. Hey did anyone give you a shout out about possibly playing The Paramount in Huntington, NY (on Long Island) when you finish at Randall Island in June? I'm just a fan who, for years now, have been requesting The Paramount book you! It's a nice venue with great sound, reserved seating as well as the pit (general admission) area, and quite a few bars. I'm hoping you would consider it since you'll be in NY anyway - and something different than the city. Would love, love, love if you could.
