Yep if you stay there you get a very special room service of coffee and cookies. You know the Russians thought about growing weed in the chernoble area and then send it into Europe to slowly radiate the populus KGB way of thinking not a bad idea on a micro level soft and discrete the way they like it
Nice observation, but 97% of people in Russia have no idea about the 420 number and it's ties to marijuana. Weed consumption is considered to be taboo and even a gram of weed can get you in jail for up to 10-15 years

Hi Bald. I am from Chuvashia, Cheboksary. It was very interesting to see you in our region. And it's funny to hear Chuvash speech on the market. As always very cool, thanks for the video. Your Chuvash viewer)
As Mr Bald has 1000000 subs soon, expect a lot of tourists in Chuvashia, coming next. Where Mr Bald goes, we want to go too. We like the places and the babushki there.
I went to London and found a lot of very capitalist bus stations, i had great conversations with english grandmas and nice tea. Also I have a friend from germany called Herold Hairier.
Well the CVV is just 1000 possible combinations so people can try until the company flags the card. Then bald has to have it unflagged again and then people can start again, leaving him with a virtually unusable card. So yeah, just make sure to show nothing at best.
Btw Russians put the towels under the comforter because they don’t like dust of things like that, that’s why everyone tends to cover their bed even if they don’t fully make it, cover any drying dishes with a hand towel, etc

It’s not Russia without a drunk guy stumbling up to you with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth asking for a light. If that didn’t happen, I’d be taking the next bus out cause something ain’t right.
Once in the 90's I came on Sunday evening in Russian provincial town Boguchary. For half an hour I couldn't find out where the hotel is because everyone I had met on my way was absolutely pissed-off.
This brings back memories. I was a kid in 90s and Baltics looked like this. Even back then it looked ugly and depressing. It's a piece of history and it's good to see. Brings back the smell and looks of some of the old buildings.
About what you said about elder people (pensioners as you called em) and their dachas: they are not growing fruits and vegetables to survive. In nowadays Russia it's way cheaper to buy that in a local store than grow it. Why do elder people do that then? Because yes, they kinda had to do it in soviet times (but even then it way easy to buy vegetables (not fruits though)), and they got so used to it that they treat it like fun, like a way to escape town and just chill and relax on their own little plot of land, with fresh air and that kind of stuff. Same thing goes for collecting berries and mushrooms, it is not surviving, it's a kind of outdoors activity, like hiking in a way. You might have noticed that younger generation doesn't go to dachas or collect stuff in the forests, that is because older generation is just made this way, they are used to it.
many young people love to go to the country.. in US we call it a cabin.. we go to the second home in the summer.. who ever get there first does tha garden ( greetings from Michigan where there aren't bus stations, get a car man)
I wa born in 1987 and my childhood spent in 90e in a village. In that time garden with vegetates was really nessesary. Also people has cows, pigs and other animals to get a milk and meat. It was way to survive because people has no money a long time. But now i'm some times attending my parents in this village and i can see that everything has been changed. Many people have got no garten, no cows, no pigs because they are working for local farmer or have a job in nearest town and it is easier to bye vegetates, milk or meat on local market. Some people keep a little garden just as a hobby in free time. Sombody just use to do it.
I’m living in Russia. And the purposes of dachas is to survive. Because it’s really hard to live here, especially in provinces. It’s cheaper to grow their own vegetables and fruits. I say it to you as Russian, who lives in province.
@Christina Reynolds Neither did he say "please" if you translate word for word directly. But language is more complex then that and you need to look at more then just the words but also the body language and the tone and the message. Their is different ways to explain the same sentence. The point of this comment was to explain to the audience what he said, whether that was word for word precise is not important because like I mentioned before there is different ways to explain the same sentence.
@Christina Reynolds That's what I trying to say. Sure I won't argue over what sentence sounds the best/better but I guess we both agree in the end even if there was some miscommunication.

Second world counties do weird things. I've stayed in a commie block hotel where the lock was on the outside of the balcony and you could lock people inside 😂
How do you do this? It's incredible! And they go to dachas not because they have to survive growing vegetables and fruits... They are babushkas, most of them, they are retired, and dasha is their hobby, their passion;-)
Completely agree. It is as impossible to starve in modern Russia as in modern Europe. But of course they are poor indeed. Transition from relatively stable socialist times to a wild capitalism of 90s hurt old people most of all. They lost all their savings and at the same time were to old already to adapt.

I can explain this funny "I'm hungry". There is a very popular TV series "Matchmakers", and it have a episode, in which little girl learning English with her grandma, they learning different phrase, especially "I'm hungry". Then, girl said to grandma: "Бабушка, я уже very very i'm hungry" (Babushka, i'm very i'm hungry already), but with mistake, because she said "Very I'M hungry", besides, she really want to eat. This situation was very funny and most of viewers remember this phrase :)

@@newreast3904 yeah, outnumbering everything with an at least 2:1 ration and especially, fighting on 2 fronts at the same time (towards the end of the war, no less) sure does equate to brilliant soviet planning; it still amazes me how braindead some people still are, even in today's day and age.
