Paying for early check in or late check out - nah!! We had our room ready at 9:58am with the FREE (yet not guaranteed) early check in at MGM properties

Man the amount of hotels nickel and diming now in Vegas makes me sad. It's really a far cry from when I first visited Vegas in the noughties when hotels had great deals and put customers first.

Love the Rush Tower. Golden Nugget is the busiest casino downtown. Once you’re established, no problem getting comps. Hope to go back soon.

The only thing that sucks about their system is booking online. I get 4 nights comped with no resort fee, weekdays, or weekends. However when booking online it only gives me the option of Carson Tower. The moment I called central reservations... magically I got the Rush Corner Suite. I was there for one night back in March of 2024. Had a flight for 7pm and went right to the casino host and boom 4pm late checkout. Really is a great comp system especially for dice players.

I think you know, but 12:04 is a vanity or "make-up desk". Does nothing for me, but many women really prefer them to the bathroom mirrors. I'm doing a Split stay Golden Nugget labor day weekend. Great video.

Another great video Jay. I have only played small time at GoldenNugget and I consistently get free room offers from them... so not the best... but for free...not bad. That includes resort fees.

I've never stayed at any of the hotels in downtown Vegas. In fact, I haven't back to downtown since 2017, not my favorite area to visit when I'm in Sin City. And Jay, I'm a Vikings fan, not 49ers. Lol!

Did someone say downtown😻👍🍀. We get our rental car at the Nugget. Easy pickup👍. Glad you left the strip for a bit to show this classic place off😆. The Nugget has a slot machine, that hasn’t hit in over a decade. I always try it & hope I’m going to win that big jackpot. All those restaurants are all over Houston. Since Fertitta lives here & owns the Rockets. Good seeing you. 🌸⭐⭐👍

I stayed there in Nov 2023. They had a new policy where you had to ask for house keeping to clean the room but they forgot to tell me. When we called down to get housekeeping we were told of the policy and that we could get towels and housekeeping. Asked for towels and later housekeeping but got neither. The next day went down to the front desk to tell them, we got towels. Then later we got housekeeping but they only did one of the beds. Was not impressed. Overall I would way the quality of service has gone down.

I consider the Golden Nugget best overall, most complete property on Fremont Street. It might be the only one that would be right at home on the Strip. I always tell people that Circa is the best but Golden Nugget still might be the best choice

Golden Nugget has some nice aspects and I would definitely consider staying there again. But it has a lot of things that annoy me about it. They nickel and dime you in the casino too.

Ooof! Does anyone remember what the name of the bar upstairs was, back in the day? The one with the veranda over Fremont? Just can’t remember! Thanks for the tour! Back in 2000 on my first visit to Vegas..I stayed at the GN with my sisters…man - the place really changed over the years! There used to be some pretty creepy and unique pawn shops right across the street!

Looks decent for the price, but too bad the extra charges for checking in early or checking out late.The wind noise sounds bad. The pool looks fun, and plenty of restaurants, bars and a decent casino. You wil reach 100,000 this year and want and predict great success on YT and other ventures.

I refuse to stay at any property that has changed the check in times only to institute a "early check in fee" just check in at what "was" the original check in time. What a joke. Exception is Amex FHR program where that negates that fee…
