Looked like a super fun and very peaceful shelling trip. Loved the shells and the campfire. Great to have the place all to yourself. Thanks for taking us along, Brian. Great video. Felt like i was there.
Hi Brian! As always you have taken us on a gorgeous beachy adventure! Your videos are so well done, can't help but feel like I am there. Beautiful Island. Can't imagine what it would feel like to go to sleep to that sound of the waves lapping and waking up to the same. Incredible and the shells were amazing, especially the nutmegs, scallops and the live creatures. Love the way you talk to the live ones and gently place them back, such a sweet nature you have!! Thanks for the video, Loved it! Have a great week!
I LOVVE to camp when I can in Florida. IMO, it's simply the best way to wake up with the ocean right at your doorstep. Thank you so much for watching 💙🐚
The sounds of the seagulls are just what I needed to hear today. I’m from Texas and those sounds make me feel like I’m home, even if in my mind. Thanks!
Hunny, you know I adore every one of your vlogs and this one in my opinion is your most stunning. ❤❤❤ Those shots of the night sky were gorgeous and fascinating. Thanks as always for sharing with us and especially for camping overnight xxxx
I didnt realize one could actually camp on the beach like that. Pretty cool. That shadow picture was a double take for me, half in half out of the water, lol!! I noticed there werent any kitten/lion paws. R those in another area, perhaps? Or seasonal mabe? I gotta say the shells u kept were sweet❣ you got thoughtfull humor too, ☺😀. Yes, lets not interrupt brkfast, hehe. Most important meal of the day. Thankyou for this wonderfull half hr❣🥰 = Hugs
I am sure there were some Kitten's Paws that I missed! I have never actually found a Lion's Paw on the west coast of Florida - I only find them in SE Florida. Thank you sooo much for watching!
The opportunity to be on your own in such a breathtaking place is mind boggling.. thank you for taking us along with you.. so wish to one day have an experience like this.. great treasures and the beauty of the live creatures!
Epic shelling! The sound of the water was amazing. I will be shelling OBX in a few months and cannot wait! thank you for taking us along with you. Ear scratchies to Yuki!
@27:25, OH My Gosh! That is an enormous Welk 😮; thank you for sharing her with us. What a fabulous place to shell and camp overnight 🐚 😎 Thank You, Brian, for taking us along.
Went to Shell Key yesterday (4/10/24) some great hauls that can be seen on our Facebook page, Florida Gulf Coast Seashells. Thanks for the recommendation! Love your videos!
What a great video, Brian! I'm going to have to check it out! BTW it's good you came to Honeymoon Island when you did. It has slowly become 2 islands since Idalia. Unless it's a negative low tide, you have to walk through water to get to the north end!😢
Hello! I have had SUCH good experiences at Honeymoon Island - so many shells, and such a calming "getaway" experience. There were quite a few times at the northern end of the island, where I saw no other people for 30+ minutes at a time. Thanks for watching!
The little sand dollars were just perfect against the backdrop of the ocean. Another beautiful video, thank you. Oh, also had to mention the gorgeous blue mussel. 😃🐚😄
Hi! Thanks for the sub! Oh boy, yeah this is a struggle filming out in the elements. Sometimes what I think looks good in the beating sun and heat, doesn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I am always trying to get the best shot though! Thanks so much for watching!
I come from a family of 9 kids and every summer we would go camping on the beach at Tin Can Beach; later cleaned up and renamed Bolsa Chica State Beach...all Hunrtington Beach in SoCal and would come home with a major haul of seashells. Mostly quocinas and scallops and a few sand dollars. I never really learned the names of the shells and never really cared until I started watching your vids...I have learned alot and try to name the shells on your vids before you and feel proud that I named each one correctly..most of the time...lol! Loved this video and thanx for letting me tag along...in 4K, of course...!!!!☺
Aww Felix, I love when you share anecdotes of your childhood, and shelling experiences in California. Thanks as always for continuing to watch each of these episodes. I am glad you find peace and happiness here 💙 ... in 4K! 😎
This island is so beautiful, the shells are amazing and once again your video makes me feel so peaceful and happy to be there with you ! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful adventure with us ! 🩵🐚🏖️
Another amazing video!! ❤ I'm heading out to Pass-a-grill next week where we'll be taking a ferry out to Shell Key, so this is perfect timing!! 🥰 looks like it was such a peaceful adventure with lots of cool finds! When was this taken? Recently? How were the noseeums?
I've been there many times, but didn't know you could camp there! Usually leave from the Pass-a-Grille ferry. Thanks for going to one of my favorite places! Gorgeous shells !
It's really cool! There is primitive camping allowed at the southern end of the island - no camp sites, literally just on the sand. Thanks for watching!
There are a few ways you can get to Shell Key. In this video, I took the shuttle out of Hubbard's Marina, but you can also take the Shell Key Shuttle from Pass a Grille. You can also hire a private charter, or take your own boat. There's another Shell Key episode coming sometime in the near future - stay tuned!
