As post game analysis suggests at 15:46, white could draw this game by playing Be6+, followed by Kf3, no matter where black king would retreat after the check (Be6+). This gives white king the opportunity to secure the g4 square (light sq) which is VITAL and creates a fortress on this position. White king eventually will go to g4 sq once the black king leaves the 5th rank. Then white bishop will occupy the long a8-h1 diagonal. This creates a fortress because the White king can stay on g4 forever (light square and black's bishop is dark) and with the contribution of the light sq bishop (on a8-h1 diagonal) the f-pawn cannot be advanced anymore (bishop and king are covering the f3 light sq). The only thing black could try is to place their king on h2 and advance the h-pawn, which does not work because once the black king will move from the h-file (on g1 since it is the only square available for black king) the white king will capture it on h3.

Antonio could have tried bringing his bishop to attack the black pawns from behind. If he can sacrifice it for two of them black has a bishop the wrong colour of the queening square.

Am i the only who see that after the queen sac and bishop takes it then if you move pawn forward and it threatens bishop and you cannot take it because in some few moves it will be checkmate and if you move away the bishop and the pawn will be able to promote to a queen.

When the opponent played Rd8, I was just screaming "c7! c7 wins!!" - only for Agadmator to attempt that weird queen sacrifice thing. I was still half-expecting something ingenious, but I couldn't understand his plan, because of Qb6. Maybe Agadmator was trying to be too cute or something, and you can't win them all, I suppose. But QxRd8 turned a completely winning position into a losing one - so I wonder where this ranks among his worst blunders?

c7 is winning but Qxd8+ is the best move in the position. Only after you sack the queen do you play the best move c7 which exploits the loose bank rank. He definitely should've paused the video, he rushed!

@@Rocksolace Well, as Agadmator points out in his analysis, the engine agrees with me that after Rd8 the immediate c7 is the best move. But black doesn't have to take the queen on d1, like he does in the analysis - he can instead retreat the rook back to f8 and draw things out a bit. Both QxRd8 (followed by c7 on the next move) and the immediate c7 are winning, but I'm guessing that the engine prefers the latter course because it avoids an unnecessary queen sacrifice and the risks stemming from doing that if you then mess things up (as Agadmator did).
