YOU sir, are a lifesaver... a hero amongst MERCEDES BENZ W203 owners. I purchased a mint condition 2005 C 240 and the console lid was loose, just sort of sitting there. I figured it was broken and looked into buying a pre-owned lid from eBay, due to the frustration of fiddling with this lid while I was detailing the car yesterday. Then I found your video! Cheers.
I found one on eBay, I think I paid around $100 for it. I have another video that shows how I actually ended up fixing the original one using a soldering iron to reattach the broken out plastic bits…

TY. The problem is we couldn't see what you were doing when the lid was up blocking the most important part. Wish you'd have had a camera near your hips, but I'll try what I got from you. TY again!

I just bought it for someone on eBay. They seem to be available there pretty much all the time. If you watch my other video where I fix my old cover by plastic welding, you might be able to save the one you have. Good luck!
