I Slept at Wal-Mart 🦎 Appalachian Trail 2023 

Hey Kelsey, Preacher here. Congrats on the starting the "new" trail. I am happy for you that you are getting to spend time with your mom. The most enjoyable hikers to follow are those who are real every day, tell the truth about trail life, good or bad, and maintain such a positive attitude, in spite of circumstances. I followed Megan Boggs a couple of years ago and, despite numerous setbacks, she had a great attitude from start to finish. I appreciate that in you as well. Family and hostel dogs just make a great trail experience even better. God bless.

Wearing rain gear or a pack cover keeps the rain away(only works 90% of the time).

I would have to keep biodegradable soap with me and wash off with that creek water no matter what. Could not stand being stinky for days at a time😩
