@@kcstacielynn Agreed! I also like how he seemed just as surprised to still be alive as we were. One thing that made it extra tragic in Crisis Core was that his "The price of freedom is steep" was said in a way that signified he knew he wasn't going to make it out this time. He fought hard but accepted the outcome before it started.

Yeah Cloud was never exactly the true hero Zack always was.

That wasnt exactly his fault tbh. He never got the chance to shine like Zack and all the crap that happened to him messed up his head so badly he was a shallow shell compared to himself when he was just an infantryman.@@gibbs615

@@Stillhovering exactly. There may be alternate timelines where some people who shouldn’t be alive, are…. But by the time we finish the remakes our timeline will have a dead aerith and a dead Zack.

SHOOKED!! Like omg why did they end the cutscene after that, I wanted more! And then after seeing the Rebirth trailer I cannot wait to see more of Zack's involvement in the story. I want to see him and Aerith reunite. We shall see.

I totally understand that some are not fond of the remake having Zack alive. I get both sides of this and get what you are saying since his story means a lot to you. I absolutely enjoyed the OG 7 and Crisis Core! For me I am looking forward to seeing how the story will go with Rebirth and the third game. I want to give it a chance and see where they take it. I definitely need to check out Tactics. Thanks for the suggestion on that! And thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!

@@kcstacielynn Gonna be honest, I didn't expect my comment to be recieved so well. But I am glad to see that it was. And it's nice to see that others did fully appreciate the original story. I'm just of the firm belief that while the original story is still around to be appreciated, the future of a story, even if it's 'alternate timeline' shenanigans can still affect a series. Think of it this way. The very very first Star Wars movie. Obi-Wan calls Darth vader 'Darth.' It's because at that time, before the other movies were made and more story was written out, his name was actually Darth Vader. If it had just been a one of movie, he'd have forever been that guy who's parents named him 'Darth' And their last name was 'Vader.' Regardless of all this, I am glad you're having fun in your own way with the games. I just personally won't be participating in the 'remake' of FF7. Personal suggestion, if you're going to check out Final Fantasy Tactics, get the PSP version 'Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.' It's actually an exact remake with the translation fixed to fit the period, to sound more appropriate rather than awkward (Which was a product of its time back when the original released on PS1) Nothing about the gameplay is changed, other than adding a few job classes into the game for you to outfit your squad with, and cutscenes were put into the game to better tell the story where appropriate. Nothing AT ALL about the story itself is altered, and everything is just made better for it. Lastly, Yeah, I get that some of my original starting comments can come off as mean and rough, and I apologize for that. Other peoples tendency to want to spit on things that I've come to love and appreciate, rather than have a conversation and discuss things or figure out the core of why things rub people the wrong way has kinda made me a bit jaded I guess.
