I own a rolex Daytona that I bought in Iran back in 1998. It's still in perfect running condition, and I remember the excitement of purchasing it like it was yesterday. Given the current fluctuations in the watch market, I'm curious to find out how much it's worth today. I'm planning to do a little research to see its true value now. It's fascinating to think about how the worth of these timeless pieces can appreciate over the years, even amidst a volatile market.
Great that will fetch you some cash. *I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $55million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
How did you grow your portfolio to $55m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum in the bank, the rates are not impressive so I'm moving it, what's your cash flow like?
Its mind boggling how people trust this guy enough to buy when 1. Deals are done in public space. 2. He does no authentication during purchase 3. He doesn’t check the condition of movements 4. He pulls out APs out of a plastic bag
I don’t quite understand the gmt craze. I bet 90% of people aren’t even using the function. lol I know some are. And I realize a lot of rolex buyers tend to be business people so they are more likely to use a gmt function. But I truly believe most people don’t even use it.
@philreid Interesting one for you Phil, one of my local AD’s just lost their contract with Rolex, I was talking with the owner and he told me Rolex are reducing the amount of AD’s they have so that they have less stores to send stock to. Have you seen this anywhere else?
Wow Phil I am so proud of you! You genuinely are working so hard and crazy to see the journey as I have been watching you from the start! Keep it up man!
If you love your job and really enjoy what you do, whilst it’s still a job it sometimes doesn’t feel too bad. Thank you for the insight and sharing. Positive to see you’re at a tipping point in order to grow and a need to expand
I wish you the very best with the business and hope it’s a huge success story as you have put in a lot of sacrifice and effort 🙏 One of my favourite YT watch guys and would defo do business with you Phil
Well I think for the past 3 years, buyers are getting fed up with all Rolex ADs and the big Gray market flippers. Even though he's small time and little more risky, he's giving them what we want at a lower price so people willing to take a chance. So Phil, what do you think?
