Then you will never own a property in Australia or New Zealand!… Go to the U.S. where there are plenty of opportunities with much higher pay and housing costs are still very reasonable.

​@aheat3036 My husband is Australian, but grew up in the UK and we live in the Western U.S. Unless you live rural, a house is very expensive and cost of living is high right now. Our saving grace is that I bought the house we live in during the recession affordably and we did the renovations ourselves.

Hey! I work in healthcare and am fairly skilled for my particular profession so I had a job offer 3 months before I was due to arrive in London. Even with that, I did run into a couple of hurdles because you can’t sign a work contract in the UK without proof of right to work (a BRP in my case which you collect at a post office once you arrive). This made it difficult to sign a lease on a flat as basically no sane person would offer you a rental contract without proof of UK income. With that being said, once your visa is approved in which ever country you’re coming from, try your luck searching for jobs before you come. As for finding a place, I booked an Airbnb for 1 month which allowed me enough time to search for a place to live in the buffer period whilst my work contract was getting sorted out.There are lots of rental scams so make sure you view the properties you’re thinking of renting!

Hi lovely, I’m on the Youth Mobility Visa. Depending on where you’re from it allows you to live and work in the UK for two years ( soon to be three) if you’re between 18-30 years of age 💕

The Robodebt Murders, the Cashless Debit Welfare Card trials, that caused homelessness, hunger, and suicides to many that were caught up on it. The Australian Commonwealth Federation has completely betrayed the Australian people. An over satuated immigration program, nowhere to buy or to rent an affordable property. Property is seen as an investment and not a right for living in, barring its own citizens from coming back to Australia during Covid-19, and the list goes on. It was only after the LNP was removed from federal power that I stopped preparing myself to fly to Beijing to apply for asylum from Australia. My family are Chinese government officers in the CCP. My daughter is the District Manager of Sanming City in Fujian Province, China.
