I've kept this on the lowkey. My E90 is sold. I no longer have possession of it.
I don't blame you either. I'm upset as well. There are a lot of factors that lead to this decision. The circumstances are no longer in my favor. But now, I have a new vehicle that I can forever use long term without having to worry about repairing.
This will lead to building a legacy that will pass down to my beloved E46 M3.
Stay tuned because my E46 M3 will be EVEN better than my E90.

The only way I would ever sell my E90 would be to buy a nice clean manual E46 M3. So if it helps to have sold it to work on the E46 then I don’t see a problem. But I rarely hear stories of people selling their N51/N52 because it kept breaking down as if it was an N54 😂. Once the car market calms down I’m gonna think about getting a E92 335i N54 as a project car or just go all in on a 2019 F30 340i or G20 M340i. But I would definitely have to sell my E90 and my beater car to make that big of a move. So I can completely understand you selling a car that was unfortunately giving you trouble to buy a worry free vehicle and will allow you to build your dream car. I’m excited to see what you do to the E46 M3. I would love to own one some day. Maybe I’ll get an opportunity like you, I want one that’s good mechanically but could use some work cosmetic wise. I would address the rod bearings first though as it can be a problem on higher mileage S54s. Nonetheless I can’t wait to see what you do with the channel! I’ll definitely be sticking around!

Yes I was VERY meticulous when I bought my e46 m3. The 2 of the big 3 are done. It's the vanos pump I need to do as well as valve adjustments. So far no issues yet, but I'll get them fixed in the meanwhile. Other than that it's just the cosmetics that need a lot of work on which I'm definitely excited to show you guys the journey as time goes by haha

I really want a 335i as a project car as well, but I acknowledge that for literally any car the prices are inflated right now. I’ve generally seen them right under the 10k range, how much would buy yours for?

Been in this situation too man but it’s all for better things. Sometimes you gotta get rid of some cars to get the ones you really want! You have so much new content and opportunities with the M3. Nothing beats an M car💪

It's all good, we all gotta move on and do something different. I plan on upgrading from a e90 and getting a f30 by next year hopefully. I always wanted an f30 and it's nice to get into a newer bmw chassis.

@@DruedrizzyTv it's honestly not any different from owning an n52. You fix up the bit crucial issues with the s54s and they'll last you for a long time. You just gotta keep doing your oil analysis each oil change to monitor the metals in your oil

I'd leave the color on the e46 I really like it, and the tundra should get smoked tail lights but I don't blame you for selling you e90. Listed my e90 328 for sale last week and looking to get a b8.5 s4. Just sick of dumping money into this car like it's an n54 with 250k miles on it

I didn't just sold my e90 just because of the maintenance, I sold it because I can't keep maintaining it as well as restoring my e46 m3 at the same time. If both of my vehicles are out of commission, like it did, then I'm out of a vehicle to drive. Yet at the time, I still need to have a vehicle that I can drive in the winter worry-free, and driving a slammed e90 or rear wheel drive e46 m3 during the winter isn't the smartest idea. So I just bought my Toyota Tundra that would be my absolute go to whenever my bimmers would take a shit. Ofc I'm not financially capable enough to splurge insurance for all three vehicles so one of them had to go. Unfortunately it just had to be my e90. That and I always wanted a toyota tundra with the trd trim. It was just another bucket list of mines to cross out haha Trust me, I didn't buy my e46 m3 impulsively. I bought it for a reason to restore it. The motor definitely has plenty of life. It just needs body work. No one knows that yet because I havent had the funds to start working on it completely thus there hasn't been any updates or videos in regards to the restoration. Nevertheless, I'm prepared for the maintenance and restoration for my beloved e46 m3. My e90 was a great platform to start out with before I get into the ///M platform so I was well aware of what I was getting into. Stay tuned my dude! I'll make my e46 m3 even greater than my e90. Just give me time :) And who knows? Maybe I'll get another e90 someday haha

@@ImErice really sad to see it go man. That build you had was super street inspired while maintaining a sense of elegance. It will be missed. How much did you sell it for if i may ask? What was the mileage? Also what was wrong with it? N51/N52 platforms are known for their impeccable reliability so this is rare.

@@camposjesus3725 With these 330i's, they have disa valves that are known to break. Ofc they're made of plastic and somehow mine miraculously made it through 150k miles before anything happened. Even worse is that there are no symptoms of the issue AT ALL until it's too late. My cousin took a look into it and found that the disa valves were shattered. One of the pins got stuck in the intake valves and LUCKILY it didn't get into the engine. If you have a 328i or 325i you really don't need to worry about those disa valves at all. They're only in the 3 stage intake manifolds (aka the 330i models). Plus I was very neglectful to the car the past few years until recently and all the smaller maintenances caught up to me. The shocks were leaking, driver side door look actuator went bad, the PCV system needed some refreshing, etc. Regardless, you are right. These n51/n52's are REALLY reliable. I just didn't keep myself on top of my maintenances when I needed to. My cousin now owns my e90 and he's taking good care of her now. And since he's my cousin, I sold it to him for a good deal if he could fix my e90 for me. Everything went well from there and my good ol e90 is still going strong haha

@@ImErice interesting because the N51 engines do have the three stage intakes with disa valves although those are detuned from the factory because they're SULEV emissions engines. Those dont suffer the same fate as the 330is according to my research and personal experience on my 2010 328i E93. At about 120k miles right now. Runs like a dream! One last question, where did you get those window stickers on the back of your E90? I love the look of them. Could you provide a link?

@@camposjesus3725 I got the stickers from itsokay.gg on instagram. Although play it safe and just replace the disa valves. Otherwise you're looking at an expensive repair for your engine. Maybe they might have revised it over the years, but it wouldn't hurt to play it safe since they're still made of plastic.
