Warm temps increase cichlid aggression keeping them at 75 or lower even fixed a lot. My tank had a noticeable difference from the summer 82 to 84 degrees vs the winter 73
78 degrees fahrenheit is a pretty good temperature I put my angelfish tank on and they are not very aggressive they just nip sometimes but it's rare for them to
Glad the angelfish is okay. Maybe you could move the rainbows where the angelfish came from? I don't know what you have but my dehumidifier has a humidity setting and turns off at whatever humidity level I want. If you had one of those it might help cut back on the heat it produces.
@@DanHiteshew-oneandonly I took your advice and got a small gold pearlscale angelfish, it appears to be a veil tail, which was in with the 'normal' tail angel's, luckily I spotted it and bought it for the same price. Hopefully it will be happy and thrive in the tank.
@@DanHiteshew-oneandonly just been watching it for the past few hours and it's just mesmerising as it glides through the plants. The others in the tank seem to ignore it though one of the gouramis has come in for a closer look. As it's small and will grow up within the community it should be fine, fingers crossed
angelfish are not aggressive.they are territorial.they want to chase other angelfish out of their area . we just keep them in small glass boxes that doesn't let this happen.
