@@MurdogYT buddy if I go dps mo I get flamed so hard in team chat that I tilt. Everyone hates moira it seems most folks expect you to healbot for them. I'd switch to kiriko or just play tank but I'm trash mechanically (pushing 50) and once rammy drops tank queues are going to be dumb anyway.

@@ege8240 I'm also an ex bronze support who's reached Diamond. In my experience, it's constantly trying to learn new strats and knowledge, and getting a decent stack. That's the only way to climb. It's a grind, but we love it

Yeah that statement holds true for Mercy for sure, but not so much for Moira, like you say she's a menace especially at lower ranks, use that to your advantage

Is this a joke? It's alarming to see how bad the devs are but it makes their changes and balance patchs make more sense

@@merc9nine The devs collectively play at various levels. They range from bronze to grandmaster. Andy B is not in charge of the balance team, he's the community manager - the reason that we've gotten improved (albeit not ideal) communication from Team4. You're not wrong - the balance will never be good, but we've known that for 6 years. This wasn't a joke. Andy B has done a lot of good work during his tenure as community manager.

Most Devs are casual gamers. Most us aren’t try hards and just want to make a enjoyable game

Doesn't matter if they know whats happening or not. There's tons of times when engaging/retreating that a speed boost would help. Pay attention to your team. SUPPORT THEM when they need it. I climbed from Bronze to Masters with Lucio & Moira. Speed is way more useful in low ranks than yall admit

I'm new to OW and am in silver (got 2 ranks after the update) and amped speed first game in silver, my rein and reaper went in and absolutely destroyed. "Is this silver?" I asked myself. A few days later, I know I got lucky. Nearly gold now though!

In the lower ranks on Lucio I usually only Amp speed with a crossfade to healing to save someone that is falling back when they should.

@@plasmakitten4261 Devs generally aren't good at the game - that's not their skill set. I used to work on Madden and there was an annual tournament - the devs were usually the first ones out. Testers and producers were usually the ones who won.

They need to have the most understanding of how the game works so they can find the bugs, figure out what feels good, etc. and report that to the team with how it *should* function so that a Programmer can adjust it. Programmers don't need gameplay fundamentals to do their jobs. That's why it's baffling that QA is bottom of the barrel (along with CM) when it comes to pay/priority in most studios.

If they want a heal bot they should just find a Mercy who does nothing but heal and stands there, Moria is definitely not just meant to heal all game, same with alot of the other support

The only time i get angry at my supports not healing is when their damage is like 3x-4x their healing and everyone is dying while they ignore their critical health teammates. Had an Anna and Bapthe other night walk up to me (i was Dva) and i had like MAYBE 100 health. Asked for healing and they both ignored me, choosing to attack the enemy instead. We were losing because no one could stay alive because those two actually refused to heal.

There is. I main Moira and I my damage is usually 1/3 to 1/2 of my heals. I've had a few times I've been 1:1 but that was a match we just dominated and the other team sucked so we didn't need much healing.

As a support main, I tend to say "I can't outheal stupid" I do mute myself before I say that though lol

We would stay after work in the break room playing games together or go to each other's houses and play. You are acting like he's doing something like business development, when in reality community manager means he Tweets sometimes about Overwatch. He has plenty of time to play games, he's just not part of our community, yet he is managing the community.

@@merc9nine As someone that has worked in the industry - AS A CM - for the past 6 years: there is SO much more going on in the background than "just tweeting sometimes." If I got a chance to eat my lunch I was *lucky.* On top of actually posting the content, you spend all day *managing* the content (hence the title). Monitoring comments for anything inappropriate, collating player feedback into reports for higher-ups, creating or co-creating future content posts, communicating with virtually every team to find out about upcoming things for future posts, emailing everyone under the sun for things you want to be able to answer when someone asks, interacting with sponsored players/content creators and organizing things for them, etc. etc. It's not "just posting on Twitter."

No wonder the balance is so bad none of them can actually play the game

Plus, not like the developers can’t see the feed back themselves, Jared Neuss specifically said that they’re listening. And even if what you said is his main job, like you said, he need to listen to feed backs and report it to the dev, which doesn’t require being good at the game per se?
