He really moved into a town, and instead of clearing his overgrown grandfather's farm, runs to the local shopkeeper to buy flower seeds. Then plants the flowers, sleeps for a few days, only to meet with the mayor about some run down building of something (idk who reallt cares tbh). Then goes back to sleep for a few months, wakes up, and starts gifting the local anti-social magician to give him said flowers and a few weird mushrooms. And all this to gain access to his basement and transition genders instantly. Absolutely amazing. I love video games.

I always grind out the Mines and play Darkness Farm, so the Wizard ends up being my first friend all the time. Void Essences drop from Wilderness Golems which spawn on your farm, and you can repeatedly do frozen floors for Ghost spawns which give you a basically assured Solar Essence.

Using a tree tapper on a mushroom tree can *occasionally* spawn a purple mushroom.

the wizard likes parsnips. not sure why you need to buy tulip seeds?

Love your vids! This wouldn't be as hard if you were also doing a mining challenge. During the Cup you were gathering all his favorites from the lower levels already. Still a tough challenge though, & I thought you did a great job with both challenges. ;)

I think Eggplant would be better. First harvest 5 days, and same price as tulips. Also, you can probably try cutting a mushroom tree down every day by resetting until you get a purple. My final run would be 1. Make a chest and space in front of Farmhouse 2. Sleep to Fall 1 3. Buy 5 Eggplant 4. Wake up only to check for Purple Mushrooms 5. Proceed like Seanie Dew

He mentions that you can get in the wizards basement via the dark talisman sidequest, which requires completing the community center, but if I'm not mistaken, doesn't completing the bulletin board already pretty much give you enough friendship to get into the wizard's basement?

i transitioned right after i started playing stardew valley, so i learned of this secret very quickly

I have never had a problem getting wizard love gifts, always have a surplus of solar and void essence

So math. Talking to someone gives you 20 points, a gift is 45 and then there's the -2 points for each day you don't talk to them until you have max friendship. That's not relevant for this challenge meaning for the remaining 5 days you don't talk to them, you lose 10 points, meaning 120 points a week (2[45+20]-10=120). Running the math backwards (so subtracting from 1000 to represent gift giving and adding to represent decay) you need 7 gifts/talks assuming one of them is a loved gift given on his birthday, which actually gives a bit of leeway (~30 points but that was simplifying the run so you started giving gifts on Mon/Tue, you can get more by giving the first two gifts Fri/Sat), you can either skip two weeks after starting raising the Wizard's friendship, or you can skip talking to him once. This means the latest you can start giving gifts is the 5th of Winter, if you found a loved gift for the Wizard before the 20th of Fall (but you have the leeway to do that if you find a loved gift after the 20th of Fall).

Solar and void essences are actually pretty easy to obtain, just focus on shadow brutes in the regular mines and you'll stack up the void essences pretty quickly. Ghosts, mummies, and squid kids are where I get most of my solar essence from as well

I speedrun this almost every time, and I *always* get the mushroom cave, since he loves the purple ones. I use the id codes and the telephone to cheat items in, so changing my name is kinda a requirement for me
