5 seconds in... Paid $200 for BBQ and was questioning was it worth it. I can speak for normal folks that spending $200 for BBQ is never worth it. lol

If you can make your own, then do it at home. A lot of people don't have a backyard to smoke their own BBQ. But $200 seems over the top. I'm old enough to remember when good BBQ was cheap. Now these BBQ joints use prime and wagyu.

That usually applies to steak though. I'm a Texan and we dip everything in sauce except for steak. Just salt and pepper for that😂

@@bruceyung70 Everything?? lol. No. if i have to dip BBQ in sauce, I dont want it. Good bbq places in TX, you'd have to ask for sauce.

art has it's value that goes beyond comparison to short cut copy cats. I also agree there was a time where it was readily available for cheaper but sadly those days are gone due to changes in the name of progress. alot goes into true bbq where in texas or else where the price is not gouged it's relative to the time and process. All those in the comments if you don't know you don't know and for those who do actually cook at home you know all the things needed to produce quality delivery.

it's a myth about it being a texas thing; can get the same bbq anywhere. texas bbq just means bbq made in texas. hawaii bbq can only be found in hawaii

… @bobbykaralfa … you are very wrong as Texas style barbecue is cooked with certain wood, mainly Post Oak, sauce is on the side with a light layer on certain meats, but never suffocating as the other bbq styles, Texas style also cooks every animal where other styles only cook certain cuts of meats, and much much more. I can tell you are a yankee as you have no clue how huge Barbecue is in Texas. You should come down, make a trip to see for yourself, and embrace some good eatin’

Texas BBQ means the style was originated in Texas. The Carolinas have their own style. Is it a myth about sushi being a Japanese thing? I can get sushi anywhere.

Truth is average for Texas BBQ and overpriced. It has a good location.

All of these hyped up locations are overpriced. Part of it is because they use expensive prime and wagyu. Traditional BBQ was about using the cheapest cuts and turning it into good meat after hours of smoking. If you can turn a select or choice cut into good BBQ, then you're a true pitmaster.
