Hola!!! Oh my goodness I can not believe you were a subscriber of mine and kept it a secret!! Mia told me that you told her right when we were leaving. Wow!!! Small world. I was shocked. lol. Thank you for a wonderful stay and it was so great to meet you!!!
✨JOURNALISM and INTERVIEWING random people is TRULY your GIFT. YOU can make ANYTHING so INTERESTING and FASCINATING. You truly make rocks into DIAMONDS ✨❤️❤️✨✨
The most surprising thing to me was that you didn’t like the hostel. I thought that would be your jam since you are a people person. I get it though! I’m a little confused because I thought they invited you for a yoga retreat??? I’ve been to Spain many times & I love it! Glad you got to experience the real Spain!!😁 can’t wait till part2!🎉🎉🎉
lol. Guess im full of surprises 😊 Nothing better than coming back to your own space to unwind after a long day of travel or exploring. For me anyways it’s wonderful. The retreat sponsored my trip! So amazing of them!! I still don’t know why… but I’m grateful 😊. You’ll see some yoga retreat footage in another video..
🌟 Star it surprises me that you have not heard of squatters in the US. They are all over even in California. We can kick them out, but it takes a while. 😌😊 GREAT VIDEO!! 👍
lol. I know of squatters. That would be shocking if I didn’t I can understand your surprise. Just the laws in Spain where Mia is were pretty shocking for me…
Kashi Star, you are just such a bright light. I'm actually from the town you currently live in but moved away a couple years ago and started a fam. I have no idea how I ended up finding your channel, but know that I root for you and hope that you always get to adventure like this.
WOW so much fun and such an amazing and generous gift Star. My hope is to visit and possibly move to Cuenca, Spain. Your adventure is making me so excited for my adventure. The squatter thing gives me pause tho lol, that's so insane. Since I follow Clark Howard here on YT I knew about the money exchange only at the airpot and about the cell phone thing. Food looks good and Mia and her dad are great tour guides making sure you get the best time ever.
The currency exchange restriction and paying for the squatters is the wildest thing I’ve heard in a while. It’s fascinating what is different in other countries!
I was wondering how your trip went! Your channel has and does warm my heart & it means a lot to m. I'm terminal and smiling has become VERY difficult for many reasons and your channel and your smile is something I appreciate all THANK YOU! Btw, the squatter thing, is that ALL of Spain or just that city?
Hey Amanda. Holding you in my heart at the moment. ❤️. I’m happy to make you smile. I honestly have not researched the squatter situation in Spain to know if the same laws apply to all of Spain or if they vary depending where you go. It’s a good question!
Hey Star! Spaniard here! I have lots of things to share, first of all I'm surprised at so many things of this video 😂 the thing that caught me off guard the most was the calling for the bus? WHAT? We do not do that! 😂 I'm sure something happened to this specific bus because what buses do is just have this hourly itinerary, and the phone Mia called was "atención al cliente" which means Customer Service haha. About the squatters... We do have a bit of a trouble with this, due to the excess of inhabited buildings owned by banks mostly... but you do NOT have to pay for their stuff, what!!!! 😂 And also I'm really surprised at the bed not being done at the hotel room but that was just a funny thing I guess haha. OH! And I remember recommending Spanish tortilla for you in one of your videos ages ago! Hope you enjoyed your stay, would love to have some conversations with you about this trip 🥰
Hi, I am Spanish too and I live in a town and we always have to call the bus…so probably they were in a small town or village. In big cities you don’t have to but in some towns yes. I see they are in the nature of the north of Spain, calling for the bus is actually very common there, from my experiences so I am not agre with your comment sorry
Loving this travel vlog of your trip to Spain….There is beauty everywhere but I hear stories of dislike for tourists….I’m happy you are sharp and aware and listen to your own instincts and gut feelings…Can’t wait for Part 2….
As an Italian living in LA since 2018, changing money is the same in the US... basically only in the airport😅 For people that can manage to get in your apt illegally, or tenants that don't pay, in Italy is basically the same as in Spain. If you're a private owner there's basically nothing that you can do. It's a shame. Legal system doesn't protect us but protects criminals😢
Hmm no, you can change money is banks too but you have to let them know ahead of time so they will have it ready when you come in. They don’t just keep foreign currency in house.
I am Spanish and is very nice that you visit places I also visited! What a sensation! I see you studied a lot because you say a lot of typical things and problems, very good. Tortilla de patates is amazing, next time you can eat one From a Spanish supermarket called Mercadona.
Soooooo happy to see a video of your spain trip!!!! Is this the first time we are with you while you’re on a trip?! The editing is so good, Star! Can’t wait to see more
Hmmm… it might be the first international trip. I think so. But I took you a lot of places in the us traveling around and living in my car.. does that count?
@smitha5022 Well, that's the whole idea, isn't it? To want to NOT have to have a death grip on the remote in order to enjoy or understand someone's content... who wants to keep pausing and rewinding.... You? Certainly not I.
I live in the UK and some travel agents and post offices will exchange currencies. Maybe you could goggle if Spain does this? Have fun Star from Jen xx
The laws governing the illegal occupation of vacant property in Spain are not so cut and dry as Mia stated. Yes, "occupas" have certain rights, and had more prior to changes in the law in 2018. But since then the process of evicting them has become more expedited. And if you notify the police of the trespassers within 48 hours, they can be evicted immediately. After that it becomes more complicated. But we recently had a very well publicized case of a woman who stayed in an Airbnb, rent free, for 17 months in Brentwood, California. Previously, the same person scammed a landlord in Oakland, California.
Squatters rights are a joke, sounds very similar to the US. That’s why I love TX, you are not squatting on my property living pro bono This video was awesome! Mia seems so so cool
I'm not a fan of America, but where star goes in usa like the springs parks and her mum and Hadley's house is beautiful. I dont understand the rat room ... what happens to the poor rats 😢
You never know someone's life situation. They may have mental health or drug issues from childhood trauma that leads them to be unable to function and most countries do not offer adequate mental health facilities.
@@Jess_Moonflower you dont think i have childhood trauma? you dont think i was raised with an alcoholic parent? i ROSE above, worked hard, and can now provide for myself! rise above PERIOD!
I have always wondered if your friends follow your channel? It would be weird for me to hang out with a person that has a camera on all day filming. Here Mia, another video Rai playing golf, your boyfriends...you are lucky to have their support
