True but everyone should strive to be healthy - and that means having enough weight to not have bones showing but also not as much as your stomach and chin hanging. It's not okay to body shame and other people don't want your opinion about their weight unless they ask but every person has a responsibility to take care of their body - especially when having children or being a role model.
That can end up being a very self-destructive mindset. On the topic of weight, I believe the idea of being fat or skinny shamed scapegoats the very real health risks of being severely overweight or underweight. It also gives the false idea that no mater what you do or how you look "society" will immediately come out and shame you for it. By thinking like this, you are now, in your own mind, a victim and are not responsible for the current state of your body. Even IF that was the case, take your life into your own hands. Decide how you wanna live and go forward with it. While doing so, be honest with yourself and be aware of the possible negative realities and consequences that may come with your chosen lifestyle. Then, if you live this way and happen to develop weight related health issues, Your idea of a malicious "society" can't be used as the main impact on how your change in weight started. From there, you can begin to understand how this really happened and go forward with making an effort to change the lifestyle you have adopted if you so desire.

I don't have much against nudists but there r people who can and want to do things to u that they should not. And beeing nude just makes it worse and makes the job easier for those sick people especaly if u r a kid.

He actually introduced me to Wicca, my religion. Wicca is a form of witchcraft and even I thought before it was evil. He opened my eyes so much because people in the media makes it seem so bad and they paint such bad pictures. Appreciate him.
For anyone experiencing body issues: go to a sauna, or a nudist beach. Being around people who are naked, in an non-sexual, non-objectifying way, seeing all kinds of different body types, and everyone just accepting your body as something normal is not only liberating but also a moment of sanity in a world that is riddled with unrealistic body imaging.
@@silasszklany9883 I understand that it’s harder…I want you to know though that there are so many people who would accept trans bodies too and I hope one day the world will be safe enough so that trans people can feel comfortable enough going to a nude beach or a sauna or wherever if they would like! A lot of the stigma around being nude comes from the oversexualation of the human body. The reason why modesty is so pushed in our culture, and especially in religious homes and towards AFAB people, is because nudity can lead to a lot of sexual temptation. And I still think that it's important to be careful with our bodies in public, but it's really sad that bodies are mostly seen as objects to be lusted after instead of a beautiful thing to be celebrated, aesthetically and non-sexually. Especially as an asexual person, I find it really hard to understand why bodies have such a sexual stigma attached to them.

I have a question, so I have no problem with anything except it’s done with respect and consent, do you think they are problem about consent in the nudist community, because some of them want to be naked everywhere but there’s also an other huge problem, is sexual harassment. Some people don’t want to see naked people, or some of us have been traumatized by some people who did things without our consent. How exactly does it works in the nudist community? Have a great day! Also, I will like to say that I think if we are talking about nudist community and place where nudist comes only to be nudist is totally fine! I just don’t understand the one who wants it to be legal everywhere because there is also another thing here and it’s consent. As long as everyone is happy with what’s happening, but when there’s no consent it’s privacy violation.
I know his Best Interviewer Shirt is a joke but honestly, he is definitely one of the best interviewers. His questions are so much better than most news reporters and stuff. He is literally changing the world like that girl said. This series is so funny but also amazing.
My mom had a double mastectomy (both breasts and a lot of muscle in her case removed). I remember after surgery and chemo she was debating on if she wanted to risk her life to get multiple skin grafts and reconstruction to have breasts again. My dad made her feel so beautiful and loved that she decided not to do it and have to go through another year or two of pain just for her image. Today, ten years later, she’s still has no breasts, I think she has the coolest scars ever but is still to shy to swim without a fake bra on because it’s very noticeable when you have mastectomy scars. She’s so beautiful and I hope every woman in that position feels incredible exactly the way they choose is best for them.
This actually made me change my mind fully about nudists, it made me notice they are not weirdos but just people who want to show their bodies, people just associate a naked body with porn, sex, etc and so they just always think of that.
Rule #4 of the nude beach: DON’T TAKE PICTURES OF OTHER PEOPLE!! When my friend and I went years ago it got weird because an older creepy man was trying to take pictures of us while we were tanning. Other than that one person, everyone else was so chill and created a vibe that made you feel comfortable with getting fully nude. It’s really a freeing feeling and I didn’t realize how much I missed it until watching this again lmao
He’s making solid eye contact the whole time and acting completely normal, as he should. The amount of respect I have for him after all these videos and the ways he treats people with different backgrounds and lifestyles. He’s amazing.
think about it this way: if we normalize nudity, then we will no longer sexualize the parts of us we have to hide. edit: some people aren’t getting that i mean if you grew up with nudity normalized, you would probably have different views on nudity. just saying.
tjyb we only want to hide them because we’re told we need to hide them. we aren’t born with the idea that we should cover up and hide our bodies. there will always be people who will sexualize these parts of us that are natural, (just like people sexualize things like feet and hands) but if we work to normalize nudity then we would just become fine with it, just like we’ve learned to be okay with things like ankles and necks.
@@dr3am5.19 i wouldn't want people to see my body even if it was normalized. if you were to put me on a nude beach i'd leave instead of taking my clothes off. besides that, i really like clothes and i wouldn't wanna stop wearing them because it's my way of expressing myself.

This whole episode just made me cry. Its so inspiring. The lady with the red hair has a big spot in my heart, she changed her friends life and welcomed her to people that dont define someone for their body but for them. We weren’t born to hide ourselves.

i love how anthony is respectful to EVERYBODY he interviews. i’ve been binging his videos for a few days now, and i love how open minded he is. i relate to a lot of the people in his interviews, and seeing him being completely nonjudgmental to people so similar to me is really nice.
After reading several AMA (ask me anything's) about nudists... they said they just put panties on. That was before menstrual cups became a thing so maybe they now have more options not to.
I think this is one of my favorite Anthony Padilla interview. Up until now I've always had a very criticizing outlook on nudism, but now I'm realizing just how welcoming, kind, and peaceful their community is. Thank you, Anthony for such an informative video!

It definitely makes sense. Our bodies arent purely sexual. Can they be used in a sexual way, ofc. But theyre not inherently sexual and we should honestly stop treating it as such. Theres too much shame around showing our NATURAL bodies, its ridiculous.

When I was born, my mother said she couldn’t keep me clothed. Before moving to Florida when I was just a few months old, she said we lived in the dead of winter in Ohio, and she said I was constantly taking off my clothes/always finding me nude and 4 decades later nothing has changed. I sleep nude, go to nude beaches both domestic and international and been to a nudist resort 2x. Having clothes on for too many hours starts to bother my skin, I feel claustrophobic and chocked with clothes on.
dude i wasn't really sure about nudism before this but man, this really opened up my eyes. i mean, i'm not gonna go around nude but im not gonna be judgemental anymore. really liked what they said about how clothing, hair, and makeup is all about class and the breast cancer story made me pop a tear. thanks dad padilla!

Honestly before watching this interview I thought I was going to be so uncomfortable but when they started talking about their lifestyle it made me want to go to one of these places. Especially when that one lady talked about her friend and her body issues and how it helped her become more confident
Anthony is very respectful. He never contradicts anyone’s opinions, and in this video, he kept eye contact the whole time, not seeming uncomfortable. If they are not uncomfortable with other people seeing them naked, you shouldn’t be uncomfortable looking at them.

just a small town girl The thing is though about children is that you can easily start grooming them to be comfortable around nude adults and without that boundary, they can be taken advantage of. Sexual grooming is very common and even with children. Adult nudity is fine and cool and freeing but not for children
I’m super lucky I grew up in a house hold where it’s normal for me to walk in the bathroom whilst my mum is showering and I’m completely fine with it, same with my grandparents and some members of my extended family too, and it really has shown in my adult life I’m so comfortable with being naked and seeing others naked and just accepting the human body. I can say it definitely works
@@danii1. it really depends on the parents and how closely monitored and how well informed the children are about it. Kids aren't dumb, you can explain stranger danger to them in application to nudity. Because predators aren't initially naked with the children they groom, they use words, behaviour, gifts to lure the child into things more extreme. This is still of the mindset that naked = sex, which it doesn't.
after becoming a caregiver and seeing people naked almost daily (while helping them change, shower etc) honestly the nude body has become so normal to me. and it was normal immediately..it didn’t take me time to “get used” to being around nude people. it’s so just normal. i never had an issue with nudism to begin with but now i feel like i get it even more now..and how weird it is that we as a society have overly sexualized and taboo’d the human body.
Happylilsquish honestly, yeah. It’s just kinda in human nature. You don’t see deer or wolf wakin around with clothes. And it’s ok if you decide to wear clothes, too, I just think that it’s ok to not wear clothes either, even though I’m not a nudist, I still accept, agree, and understand them.
I was scared of the idea of nudism, but I went to a nude beach a single time and was immediately super comfortable in seconds. It’s like a light bulb flicking on when you realize “oh, we’re actually supposed to be naked”

I remember traveling with my parents to Canada when I was about 16 or 17 and we stumbled upon a sign that basically said "Nude Beach This Way!" We were with a very liberal family friend (my parents were raised extremely conservative and raised me fairly conservative but encouraged me to form my own opinions) and our friend, trying to be respectful, said "We probably shouldn't go to that beach then." But then my Mom kept looking at the sign and after a minute went "Okay but how hilarious would it be for us, of all people, to be in such a place?" And that's how I went to my first nude beach lol
I wish nudity was more widely accepted in western culture. I'd like to be able to breastfeed my baby in public without the looks, comments or judgement. There are people who cannot see nudity as anything but sexual, and it's to the extent that they believe that mothers either shouldn't breastfeed, or should cover up when they do it. If anyone should feel ashamed its those who sexualize feeding babies the way nature intended.
