The Glory Days of gaming. I miss those days. Back when the characters and stories were more important than graphics and kill counts. I don't mean to sound like a hipster or elitist (I enjoy/appreciate newer games just as much as the next guy!) but the purity has been lost. That, or I'm just an old, jaded, nostalgic bitch :/
Dude, let's face it, Warrior within has a terrible story and even worse voice-acting; but honestly, that's part of its charm :D I mainly love the game for its music and gameplay
Yeah, the voice acting could've been better, but why do you think the story is bad? I think it really catches that metaphysical feel, of how things are connected through time and such. The major pluses are the plot twists. It is a rather short story, but nonetheless quite an interesting one
I love Prince of Persia, played every single one, its brilliant, Warrior Within was the best by a land slide, The Dahaka used to scare me when I was young, I replayed when I was 16, I was so happy when I stumbled across the Water Sword and killed the monster that haunted my dreams when I was young. Now the song reminds me of how much of an epic game this is. The sword play, combo's enemies and story really made this game one of a kind.
Why Ubisoft had to kill this game? so sad, they should at least make a remake from Warrior within or the entire trilogy, but Warrior Within is by far the best
You said it! SoT was cute and enjoyable. T2T was utterly rushed, waterdown and recycled trash. But POP Warrior Within - that was a badass, unique MASTERPIECE - that can truly Stand out Alone! It's by far the best and I want a freaking Remake or Spiritual Successor.
That would be great! Don't get me wrong, I loved the most recent remake they did, but I think the whole "badass" thing they did with Warrior Within was exactly what PoP needed
The other time I went with my family to a shot in my town. The fact that the place was full of old furniture, desert, the site was extensive, beautiful gardens and old, and two large houses, walking down a hallway it showed something black, was a closet, but at first glance you could tell something else, a black figure, almost think "is the Dahaka", and imagine all the day this song, unforgettable experience, Prince of Persia, I've admired since I was 4 years. :)
Man these games were perfect, no wonder the same guys made assassin's creed, I'd llove to see another REAL prince of persia game, hardcore like this one
they released this game, plus sands of time and the two thrones on a collection disc for the PS3... if you can find it, i recommend it ^_^ all the games are remastered in HD and it's only 20 dollars ^^
This, Halo 2, and Mechassault 2, all have one excellent song. (halo being blow me away by breaking benjamin and mechassault being getting away with murder by papa roach)
lol this music made my fucking adrenaline levels spike like crazy cause i knew the fucking dahaka was coming and the controller shaking scared the shit out of me
Holy ballz, i remember when i got to my first dahaka chase, this music played and i knew that shit was going down. He came through the wall and i actually threw my controller at the wall and left a dent. Only prince of persia warrior within can do crazy shit like that.
I remember one time he was chasing me, I could hear his footsteps right behind me. I KNEW he was a split second from owning me, fucking scared this shit out of me.
I can still hear some of the vocals... Don't know if it's just my imagination. Great tune, however. I used to love this song when running from the Dahaka in Warrior Within.
Fucking love this game, i broke it like 20 times, and i still keep getting it, the dahaka shits me up still, fucking thing. This song made it soo much better
@seanw23 also time is always made a great storyline. it can change the frabric of space, creating the dahaka like it did in WW. i wonder what new enemy the prince will create from the void that we call the timeline.
if youre saing that in a way to mock the prince remember that Chuck Norris looks like a little girl at the mention of Dahaka, the Prince still varried over 50 shades of cool, thats why he is the best,he isnt just a knight in shinning armor,he can be dark and he can be cold, but most of all he can be scared. the entire ww is set on his fear, thats what made him most human like and most realistic
Hey am i experiencing a mandela effect or what? I remember this song was in the game and cant find it anywhere except ofr this video. Or maybe they changed the song's name in the game?
Not really, the story of SOT is simple and not original, the same goes for TTT, the short premise of "Bad Vizir, must be defeated". WW It presented a premise that at that time had not been seen in any other game, movie, comic, even in mythology, not to mention that they deepened the theme of time reversals, timelines, destiny, etc. And with that, the installment has a more marked personality with respect to the other installments, for revolutionizing both gameplay and narratively. With this I am not saying that the story of SOT is bad, it is very well told, but what I have said, it is a beautiful cliché with drama, that is why the story of WW is much superior, for balancing both the creativity, the distribution of the weight of the script regarding the antagonists, the premise, and the goose that lays the golden eggs, time travel. And the truth is I can't say anything about the music because they are 2 completely different genres.
