I filmed this many months ago in early Spring. It is indeed summer in the UK at the time of posting 🌞 I've got some more ambitious videos in the pipeline but thought I'd give you something to tide you over until those come out!

@@Holstead California has a summer weather almost all year long and door to door car wash works very well here. I do mobile car wash and people almost jump from excitement when i offer to wash and vaccum their cars. I charge $25 per sedan and more if the vehicle is bigger.

I think people are just so anti door to door sales these days especially in the UK. With good reason too. I think it’s the door to door sales that makes it not a viable idea not the actual idea itself if that makes sense 😂

Don't worry, I was charging in British pounds but I used a dollar conversion for the video 😊 US Dollars are the global reserve currency so it helps my videos to be more relevant to a wider audience 😊 Also, most of my current audience is based in the states

Can I ask about the card reader, would you recommend it and how easy was it to set up? Thinking of getting one

I saw a lot of Zettle card readers when I was last in the UK, not sure if that's the exact one he got but they're practically all the same thing with a different logo. Generally speaking you pay in fees rather than up-front cost, but they just connect to a phone or iPad with the app that comes with it. Some come with a whole point of sale terminal style app, others just have a basic 'enter amount and press OK' system, but almost all use your phone to actually process the transaction through the service

@daylen577 said it all! It's a Zettle card reader and has no monthly fee. You just buy the card reader once and then they charge a fee from every transaction (all card processing companies do that by the way)

im 13 and i own a car washing bussiness i have a 50 cc atv a 4 by 5 trailer pressure washer generator diffrent tips soap gun and all sorts of chemicals and detailing equipment quick tip dont just buy a pressure washer with 125 i would instead buy couple brushes vaccum like 50 foot hose and a soap gun and buy some clean water from a car wash and your price should be since your doing detailing i would estimate 35 is a start since you dont have the best equipment yet

@@HolsteadI usually pay $14 - $22 USD for a carwash in America's "heartland." Still, I wouldn't be at all keen at having a random "bloke" spraying a high pressure jet of water at my car. I have vague and unsubstantiated recollections about this sort of thing washing the grease out of motorcycle bearings.

Watching you wash a pretty new Audi with a sponge hurts. Never touch any painted surface with a sponge! No-contact washes are best, but microfiber cloth is the only thing that should ever touch paint. Also please don't wash cars on very hot summer days, even a good car foam dries up too quickly when it's hot out. You want about 25C max on a clear day.

The ideas are great, and I can tell there's still a lot of commitment put into each video, which I respect. But I think the videos feel a tad rushed. Everybody knows that it takes a while to get the ball rolling. People are interested in what would happen in the mid term (say, a week of trying instead of just one day). But overall I still love the videos, and look forward to each new one :)
