So from what I know (was a local when this opened) the hotel opened up in the winter of 2019/2020 before Covid. It was going to be the main stay for families going to Dutch Wonderland, or at least that was the word of mouth plan. Of course, March 2020 was when Covid hit full force in that area so Dutch Wonderland, and by extension, the Hotel lost a lot of business. I believe and this is again just word of mouth from living in this area at the time, there were talks of transforming Dutch Wonderland into Cartoon Network theme park. Of course that never happened but it was a strong rumor when the hotel was being built.

I'm curious though about the branding with the hotel. Because it sticks mainly to the modern iteration of CN. I wonder why there's not really usage of their legacy shows a cow and chicken, or a Billy and mandy, or Johnny bravo, kids next door etc. Maybe a licensing thing asking creators permission or not wanting to pay a percentage for the usage, whereas current shows are still under contract so its ok? I dunno my only guess.

I wondered about that too. My theory is this hotel is made for kids who grew up with CN in the past 10 years, so who would have never seen a single episode of Billy & mandy, Johnny bravo, or any of that. The Powerpuff girls are only there bc of the 2016 reboot.

I visited the hotel last year in 2022 with my mom, aunt and younger cousin and the rooms that we stayed in was first Ben 10 and The amazing world of gumball which was a dream come true. Plus did you know that the adventure time poster was actually the same cover art from the Season 1 DVD?

Exactly, Ed Edd Eddy, fosters, Knd and Billy and Mandy were one of their greatest shows even Scooby doo still to this day that I was shocked wasn’t included, cause kids nowadays still love Scooby.

Haven't seen your vids in a while but i'm planning on staying here for my birthday! So happy a dedicated CN fan is vlogging about the hotel~ I'm stupid excited for everything Adventure Time related and the gift shop. The prices for the rooms aren't bad honestly either. I'm looking forward to being there during the cold season bc I know tons of people won't be there; so I can film everything and embrace my inner child in peace and without tons of actual kids running around lol. Tbh, I don't see this hotel sticking around forever so visiting will definitely be a core memory and experience in my life.

I absolutely love majority of the art throughout the hotel and room. Even that Steven universe blanket looks so nice. Like definitely if they ever decide to convert it to a regular hotel like the nick hotel, I'd definitely wanna see if I could pick up some of the art. I like it has an art deco kinda approach. Rather than just stock pictures it seems all original designs making them subtle not so in your face, so it can be fun for a kid while not as juvenile or in your face for an adult.

I understand how you felt, heck they don’t even had Ed Edd n Eddy, fosters, Knd or Billy and Mandy stuff but my guess is that they build it based off of the shows for kids who watched them that was airing in the last decade rather than having every certain show for 2 decades.

The pink blue and yellow are the contrasting colours for the black and white of CN for the dimensional idents from 2021. Though Pastel is the current CN ident, they didn't change the hotel! Hope this explains it!

Plus the TV doesn’t get Adult Swim. And despite the Clone Wars being on Cartoon Network, you can’t even watch The Clone Wars Furthermore you’re in Lancaster. There’s literally nothing there. Philly isn’t for another 100 km to the east and the biggest waterpark hotel is like 200 km North in the Poconos My man, you got bamboozled by a crappy motel with Cartoon Network crap. Maybe in the future they would transform it into something like Kalahari or Great Wolf Lodge but I doubt it big time

Welp let me put on my critic hat. Not bad of a motel turned hotel. The characters being scattered literally everywhere is being overly used. You see em from the sign, the building, windows, hotel card holders, the pillows, wallpaper then the freaking shower curtains. Obviously the characters presence has to be felt but they at least could've made the shower curtains themed from the iconic checkerboard logo to compliment the room curtains. Why are the room curtains patterned like that anyway? Again make those the checkerboard even the towels. There's just so much better potential to be had here. These designers suuuuuuckkkkk :(

I love the hotel and I think its cool, but to me the location always seemed random. A CN hotel would do better in LA, CA (or even Anaheim) which luckily we are getting and or Florida, probably Orlando. No offense to Penny, but its location just seems odd. Then again maybe those areas don't want to deal with a theme hotel since we saw what happened to the Nick Hotel.
