I don't know exactly what it is, but here is something about Emma's voice that is SO soothing. No matter how stressed I feel. 10 minutes of Emma brightens my day.
@@HouseMDaddict As a fellow Aussie, she sounds a bit American to me at times, at least she has a bit of a twang. Probably from living there for so long around other expats. Plus she says Americanisms like 'ketchup' and 'soda' instead of the Australian words
I brought a small USB fan with me when staying in these hostels and capsule hotels. Life saver. Japan gets as hot and humid as Florida and knowing they don't thrive off of AC as we do, it was a must have.
Why don’t you stay at a business hotel single room instead? Even in Tokyo you are can find plenty for just about 5000 yen a night. It’s honestly better in every way, unless you like the idea of sharing toilets and showers and sleeping in a little coffin
@@ddnn974 Not all of them are the old school coffins. Some are big enough to stand in with some storage. They can also be found pretty cheaply like $15-25 USD a night if booked in advance. The hostels I stayed at weren’t busy. I’ve only ran into like 1-2 people. You don’t need much if you’re only there to shower and sleep. If I go back I’ll probably give business hotels a try. I stayed 3 weeks the first time so business hotels would have doubled that budget. The staff cleans after checkout everyday although I can’t say that for all of them. At least for the ones I went to that were rated well.
I went to Kanazawa for just a couple days in 2019 and was pretty disappointed. Now seeing yours and TC’s videos I discovered i completely missed out on so many cool things! I loved the market and the garden but when I went to Higashi Chaya I apparently just went to a random residential street near by 😅 I remember thinking “Really? This is it?” and apparently it wasn’t 😂
As a non-native speaker, I find it sometimes hard to distinguish between the several English dialects. But hearing Emma say "capshool" is a nice reminder and also adorable.
On youtube there are usually a lot of retakes and a learning curve for youtubers to neutralize their language as much as possible for maximum clarity and broadest appeal, so after a while a lot of people on youtube start sounding the same in general.
Its crazy as someone who lives in the US to just see all these appliances and hair care/skin products just...out and about. Love seeing all of this stuff makes me super jelly and eager to visit Japan :3
Dude it's so awesome there!!! Crazy to see people leave things out and about and nobody steals things or touches stuff. I actually stayed in Air BnB's for the majority of the trip and on the last day we stayed in a Capsule hotel just for the fun of it. I wouldn't stay there for an extended period of time but you should do it at least once when you go. Such an experience!!

This is the hotel I stayed at 3 years ago!!! It was called First Cabin. As I was watching this I thought...wow this looks exactly like first cabin Kanazawa. I looked it up and I guess they changed ownership. I LOVED staying there! I was there on new years 2020. Loved that it had an Onsen downstairs.
The new Nightjet trains of the Austrian railways will have a „Japanese feel“ with capsule compartments. So you will be able to board in Vienna, sleep in a capsule and wake up in Amsterdan.
I wish these were in the US. Especially because I work pretty far from home and at night so sometimes the drive home is pretty challenging. This looks perfect, if only!

That capsule is so cute! The coffin looking ones look too claustrophobic for me so I’d rather pay a little more for something like this, but I don’t need a big fancy one
I'm hopefully going later this year from Australia. I would love to try a capsule hotel and this looks cozy. I have booked a place in Tokyo that has an onsen and it looks so cosy I love japan

I think that will have to be my next stay when I revisit again one day, because I just looked at the lovely hotel my daughter and I stayed in 3 years ago in January for 3 nights and it has more than doubled! 😮 We really loved the UAN hotel and paid just under 50,000 yen for three nights in total with a beautiful big breakfast served in their intimate dining area, but now it’s just over 110, 000 for 3 nights in the winter season midweek like we stayed. If I wanted to stay there just tonight for one night it came up 35,000! 🙁 Great location to the Castle Park and markets and old Samuri houses area, and easy walk over the river to the old Higashi Chaya area (we walked everywhere) and the ladies at reception were awesome and I would highly recommend it… but not for me anymore at that cost.

Such a bargain place to stay, it's so well maintained compared to some actual 3 star hotels. Kanazawa definitely a place to detour and always appreciate hidden gems!
What a nice capsule hotel. I usually hate the idea of these but this one seems doable. Being Japan, it's so clean, and I feel like in a lot of other countries the shared bathrooms would get dirty really quickly. The showers have to be big enough to get changed in there without going outside...
I think capsules are good if you don't mind a festival camping experience. There's people all around you making noises, plug in some cotton balls AND put on the noise canceling headphones.
I have thought the capsule hotel's room look like the same as the first cabin ones in Tokyo where I stayed on New Year's eve ,2018 and October,2019 as there is a table and storage in your hotel room as exactly the same as the first cabin one's . Actually the hotel used to be one of the first cabin's so they haven't changed them. first cabin hotels still open in Tokyo and Osaka so on even after it bankrupt. anyhow I have never been to the Hokuriku region,Japan even if I live in the Kansai region,Japan so I should go there one day. cheers
It looks like a bargain, but I worry about ventilation in places like this. I like to sleep with fresh air coming in, not stale recycled air conditioning.
