Its more sad that in reality its the elderly that stayed as their children moved away. The little old person stuck in isolation in a dying village, once they passed the children came to take any valuables and left the home and possesions to rot. Thats why these homes still have so many possesions in them.

Seeing the massive empty warehouses and facilitys are eerie, and especially haunting when you consider the place your standing in was a toxic gas facility, which was literaly responsible for thousands of deaths, all surrounded by rabbits. The abandoned village certainly had a creepy atmoshphere. At the same time knowing that people lived there and had to move makes you feel sad. The fact that this kind of thing will be more and more of a common thing is disheartening in a way. I myself live in a village of about 2800 residents -and while it is situated on a main road so most likely will not be abandoned any time soon- it is also true that most people don't want to move to a smaller settlements instead of a city, so a lot of houses had been up for sale in the last 5-10 years here.
