I love how Grant is just characteristically breaking every traffic law possible in a scooter. Like a true SE Asian.

After raising a million for charity Connor is no longer a villain, and thus he is allowed to win a special.

On this episode of Top Gear: Joey rips a Sunfish in half with his bare hands, Connor establishes a British colony, and Garnt gets hit by a bus.

I like how far Garnt and Joey leaned into the reality show angle with the chair commentary sections lol. Also I always thought I was a bad driver that didnt deserve my license, but between Garnt’s traffic rules and Connor’s parking- I’ve gained some confidence.

The "poi" Connor ate was in fact, not poi. Poi is made by pounding taro into a paste, which is then eaten. What Connor actually ate from Oahu's famous Poi Factory is actually squid luau, which consists of pieces of squid legs put into a sweet mixture of mashed leaves. Connor was correct, it does not taste the best, but it certainly is very healthy for you.

The fact that RU-vidrs now can replicate the production value of real TV shows is ibcredible.

The symbolism of the vehicles is on point, Connor the haughty privilaged one in a big comfortable jeep. Joey being the mediator between the 2 with the golfcart, Garnt embracing the Thai culture as well as being the most humble one with the scooter

Connor is so much like Richard Hammond from the original Top Gear, in that he talks so much smack about the US, but he's the most American, British guy on the show, driving around in a Jeep, wearing a baseball hat, likes Budweiser, what's next ?

Never ask someone at a businessplace what the most local item is. Their goal is to squeeze tourists.

All these cut ins to them narrating their thoughts in the studio is giving me Total Drama Island vibes

As a big fan of Top Gear and Grand Tour, with those shows over (with the original trio) you guys really scratch that itch of wanting to watch a group of guys who love each other, but will simultaneously laugh at your pain, and also race through places they've never been to.

The fact Garnt survived this special is special in its own way.

This one really brought back memories of watching those Top Gear specials back in the day.

Garnt should've been more careful, Joey's Golf Cart should've been recharged, and Connor doesn't know what a coconut is. But all in all, this was the best special i've seen in a long time. It was really close and really entertaining to watch!

Seeing Garnt make an unprotected left right into two lanes of oncoming traffic on that tiny Vespa was nerve wracking as hell 😅 not a mistake you make twice.

Honestly, this as the best special yet. It felt like a documentary with the cut ins of them all talking at different times. Amazing work!
