Excalibur has been my go to for about 15 years. It's cheap and on the strip. Pro tip: You can get the room rate down to $25 if you log in using your e-mail and also book 90 days in advance.
I wonder if at some point, hotels start recognizing you and purposely assign good rooms to make a better impression. However, it seems we are not at that point yet haha
I stayed in the worst room ever at Excalibur! It was on the bottom floor at the very end right next to the door for the maid service. All day/night long I heard the "boom" of the service door. After 2nights on a business trip I asked/paid for an upgrade and got a much better room.
The last time we went to Vegas we were woke up at 4am on our first night by a deafening mariachi band at Caesars! I suppose the people who had stayed in the room next to us thought it would be funny & turned on the alarm clock full blast intentionally after checkout. It took nearly 2 hours & physically going to the front desk to get security to go turn it off. I took a voice memo & was playing it for them. I always take a small sound machine, but it sounds like it wouldn’t have helped either of our scenarios. I can’t believe you had to pay just to move from the awful room!
Is that just a thing the other video i watched said the same thing it has a weird smell when you first enter the room is that just all the rooms? Even the nicer ones can we get a check on that lol
You're finding some valid complaints about this place and also Harrah's about uncleanliness. How about examining a place that might seem to be real clean like the Wynn.
The 'cheapest' room at the Wynn is probably really, really expensive in comparison. If Excalibur was $40/night, then Wynn is probably closer to $400/night. I don't think a place needs to be expensive to prioritize cleanliness and sanitizing things, though. However, it does seem like Jacob in particular is a bit 'unlucky' - despite living in a gambler's paradise - when it comes to the quality of the rooms he is booked in a lot of these videos.
I'm going to vegas in a few months, is there anywhere you can get an actual cheap hotel that doesnt stack up on fees for resort stuff I'm not going to even use?
