Have you tried leaning into your initial awkwardness? Maybe make a joke about how you need a little extra time to get warmed up. I’m no comedian so I’m not even gonna try to recommend a specific joke but you get what I’m saying.

@yvonnelee4385 well this guy always says how he's an "Alpha male" and "the best at sex", which obviously is a joke because he knows he's not an alpha.... thats kinda the point tho. He's embracing his awkwardness and his beta self. He understands and he's making fun of it. And It works for him. That's why he's funny. He doesn't take it too seriously and he can joke without getting butthurt.

@SplatterPatternExpert my first joke was awful. I moved to Austin and rented a camper down by the river. I was drinking a beer at 8am. My landlord saw me and tried to talk to me about depression. I told him I'm just out here trying to live my dream... Of living like Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon. A suicidally depressed alcoholic loser living in a trailer with ceilings so low that I can't even end it all if I want to. Later tagged with "he wakes up sucking on the barrel of a gun or a bottle of beer" Also I failed at comedy due to my lifestyle of excess

I love how quick he thinks on his feet, honestly his best attribute. The way he was able to turn that crowd bickering into a natural and genuinely funny joke to diffuse the whole tension and keep good laughs going is remarkable.

I love your material, dude. Seriously. You’re the best of any/all ‘up-and-coming’ comics that I’ve seen on RU-vid, recently. My only suggestion, is to not take so many from your audience. Good stuff! I liked all the bits, BUT it must be said that the "69" bit is pretty much identical to one from Tom Segura. It's on one of his netflix specials; it's pretty good and goes in the same direction (he was super hyped/obsessed with it as a kid, then talking about how disappointing it was and why). It goes on pretty long and he's funny acting it out.
