In this video we work with ‪@JackMcNeillCars‬ to tackle some of the finishing touches to the #1m conversion on my #bmw #135i
firsly finishing off the back end of the car with a quad exit ‪@MilltekSport‬ cat back exhaust to compliment the down pipes which came already fitted to the car.
Once complete we visited ‪@NewlookdetailingUk‬ to have carbon fibre ppf fitted to the roof and slate ppf fitted to the headlights.
But unfortunately by the end of the video the bmw had broke which means more mechanical work coming soon!

I have seen the problem you have with several N54s. It smokes when cats are removed. Because they were hot enough to burn any small amounts of oil in the exhaust completely. You may want to check the pcv system as it can cause the smoke as well. Good looking car and enjoyed the vid.

Sick build!! I'm jealous! LOL. Well even though it's a drag having to sped cash on new turbski's this is your chance to get into some proper 17T's or 19T's! I put the 17T's into my N54 and they made a HUGE difference in power once the tune was added!!

Turbos on the N54 do like to smoke, often found when all 4 cats are removed (the secondary cats on their own will hide the problem). I opted for 200 cell cats for the secondary with catless downpipes.

It looked as though something was wrong with the amount of smoke being thrown out once the new exhaust was fitted. Way too smokey. Turbo issues would be about right. Otherwise, love the colour and that carbon roof PPF looks great.

Your going to get some hate for this mate. My Evo's pretty much streight piped and in this day and age everyone hates me for it. Ive had to put a high flow sports cat on it and change the cat back for something a bit quieter. Its still too loud.

quick tip incase you didnt know, if you cant get a bolt loose with a wrench, because of the grip not being too long, grab a 2 foot long pipe or longer, put it over the grip and you wont need much effort to get it loose 🫡
