What's funny is that Seeun isn't even in the rapline, he's a vocalist. Also the rappers all write their own raps, so feet on fuego was all Minjae, although I am sure he has been talking with Hongjoong a lot back and fourth. xikers rapline is Minjae, Sumin and Yechan. They all have very different styles of rapping. Minjae is very powerful, while Sumin has great flow and charisma and Yechan is great at speed. Tho they're all great in all aspects.

now that you mentioned UK drill, one of the songwriters / producers on the album is Maddox (KQ Soloist) he is actually from the UK. I bet that was his influence! also KQ loves to make their main title tracks storyline based vs what the fans end up loving the most - for example ATEEZ’s b-sides ‘Take Me Home’ & ‘Cyberpunk’ the fans really wanted those to have a mv and promotion but they chose songs that continues their story. xikey is def a fan fave and my other favorite on the album is Doorbell Ringing.

It blew my last brain cell yesterday! During the Preview, XIKEY caught my attention it was like ringing on my ear the whole day. Listen to OH MY GOSH! pay attention to the background vocals it is so siccccck!!! Their whole album is 🔥it gets mind blowing song after another song. definitely the sound of ROYT!

I'm ATINY and support them XIKERS roty! every song on the album is really good various musical instruments the melody is pleasing I understand that it's hard for people to approach XIKERS, but as I'm close to their age. and they are even more talented than me 🥲 I hope other ATINY will support them as well let’s stan XIKERS!!!! 🔥

The lyric video was clearly made before we knew who was doing what because it has errors. Yechan is the rapper with the soft high pitched voice. When he was 12 or 13, he was a rap contestant on Under Nineteen, a show to create a boy group. He ranked 15/57 back then and has clearly grown in ability in the intervening years. Minjae rapped early on. He's their leader and also writes and composes music. The last large rap section was by Sumin. As trainees, the boys toured America with ATEEZ as their opening act. Tricky House was one of the songs they performed. They may have chosen it because it would be familiar to those who saw them on tour and Tricky House is a good song for laying out their storyline. Remember, though there is a second title track, so we may get a performance video for it soon.

hahah, glad you liked it! as someone who know ateez’s discography from to bottom, i just felt we needed to show you that they were in fact different from their hyungies. you can definitely hear KQ, as that it’s just intense and high energy, but as you still have a big chunk of ateez’s songs (especially the softer ones) ahead of you and in time you will clearly understand why we might have been defensive haha. anyway, next up should definitely be a live performance of xikey, the ate that shit up!

Yay! Glad you liked it! I'm excited to see what xikers will keep bringing to the table. I'm not sure who made that decision but I do know since this was more of an experimental album, hongjoong is HEAVILY involved in pretty much every aspect, from the lyrics, to lore, to production, etc. And I'm so happy for him that so many people are liking xikers. And I love the carnival-y vibes I get from this album. It's super different from Ateez imo, but KQ breeds talent and hongjoong is amazing at everything he does, so I just knew this would be awesome. And I think the reason the chose tricky house was either because it's more of a mainstream song or it's because it aligns with the xikers lore more so it would make sense to do a video for it🤔 anyways, please react to more ateez too! The real, paradigm, don't stop, and some bsides such as to the beat, the leaders, and good lil boy (more hongjoong produced music 🎶). There aren't Mvs for those, so please do lyric vids and then performances such as the Kcon 2022 Saudi Arabia performance (shortened songs but it's the 3 songs combined). Can't wait for more ateez content ❤

SO here's my theory about Tricky House vs. Xikey. Before the members were chosen the idea for a boys group with a goblin concept came into being. The song Tricky House was conceived and then the members were chosen. At that point they adapted the song to suite the members as much as possible and it's a good debut, especially from the point of view of setting up the storyline. Xikey would be an example of a song written with the members in mind. I also think it's probably an indication of where their sound goes in the future

I've been playing their album in the car since it dropped. I liked Xikey, Doorbell Ring & Oh My Gosh. I got to see them live at the Fort Worth Ateez concert last November. They can command a stage. KQ produces Monster Rookies!

Kpop boy groups rarely ever do hip-hop/drill beat songs as title tracks. You be going through their albums and wonder why this absolute banger isn't the title track?? They always go for the more mainstream sounding songs. Which is a shame but it is what it is. That being said you should also check out Oh My Gosh and Doorbell Ringing as well. They're as good as Xikey.

Last year they did some busking and since I'm ATINY I watched their performance of The Real, it was soooo good. Then I watched the member interviews to introduce them, LA training they did in January 2022 while ATEEZ was on tour. Then when I saw ATEEZ in the fall, Xikers opened for them, its crazy. First time I've seen a group haven't debut open for a senior group in their company. Xikers just did that for the US leg of ATEEZ's North American tour. So they have a lot of stage experience, I'm pretty sure there is a live of Xikey. Anyways there sound is similar to ATEEZ because its the same producing team, but Mijae, Sumin, and Yechan all do have writing credits. They have so much potential to build their own sound, looking forward to going on the journey with them. My bias is Junghoon, but Yechan (boss baby) is definitely my wrecker. Oh...and of course there is a lore, but I'm still wrapping my mind around it.

they have an album intro video that has little snippets of each song on the mini album and it shows that they have choreo for ALL the songs. so in my personal opinion they need MVs/DPs/Special performances for ALL these songs. XIKEY and Oh My God have been on repeat since the album dropped yesterday. side note: Minjae(the one that screams Xikers) is the leader of the group and he also writes songs. they did a show with KBS when they were still known as KQ FELLAS 2 that's available on RU-vid with subtitles. i 100% suggest watching it.

I feel like title tracks are generally more like supposed to be super on "theme" so to say with a groups lore, ideas, concept etc..but then bsides can be almost anything and half the time not even like the title tracks 😂 xikers has so much variety in this album I love it! 👌🏽

I hope Xikers will really dwell in their rap aspect mostly. KQ will become a powerhouse because everyone knows Ateez are no 1 in performance. If Xikers should be the best group in rap it will be a massive blow out for kq. They are that good!! ✨

KQ showing JYPE how you actually produce a mix-and-match song and make it work and I appreciate that clapback. No hate against NMIXX at all, they're a bunch of incredibly talented girls. Edit: As someone who is consuming a lot of reactions to Kpop songs I've noticed so many more guys are doing it now. A lot of them have primarily reacted to bands and groups from other genres before (a whole lot of hip-hop and metal of all things) and it's so nice to see more and more men entering the world of Kpop and enjoying it ❤️ Edit 2: if we know one thing about KQ's production team Eden-ary, it's that Eden and the crew never ever disappoints. I'm honestly incredible biased because Ateez is one of my ults but as far as I'm concerned, as objectively as I can be, Eden-ary and Ateez haven't produced a single, genuinely bad song since Ateez' 2018 debut. And since Eden-ary is the production team for Xikers too and is known for max creativity and expertise, it's not hard to believe that Xikers are gonna be absolute fire and will (and already have) distinguished themselves greatly and impressively from Ateez. I have my theories as to why Tricky House and not Xikey was the leading title track and got the MV (we don't even know yet if we get an MV for Rockstar or not) but I don't think it was a bad decision. Rockstar would have probably given them the k-rock band stamp to some degree and Xikey would have immediately brought them in connection with NMIXX & JYPE and SME, which also wouldn't have been wise imo. And Tricky House was the perfect introduction to their concept and the beginning of their lore, if they're really gonna get a whole lore like Ateez does, which I really honestly hope for because we got way too little extensive and detailed lore in Kpop. The only groups with a very prominent and obvious lore are Ateez, Kingdom and I believe TXT, although I'm not really sure if it's that obvious or not. Then we also got Enhypen and such but it's not nearly as obvious as it is with Ateez and Kingdom who are literally known for their lore. And with the concept of nature-spirits/goblins of Korean mythology and the "traveling boys trying to find coordinates" explanation to their name- I can see some lore connection between Ateez and Xikers in the future, which would be incredible. It would be like Kwangya from SM but knowing KQ's genius it would be made in a much more cohesive and less forced/rushed manner and I'm absolutely here for that.

Their album is FIRE!! I bought it right away and have been blasting it in the car! The title is def. Ateez reminiscent. But the rest is a bit more of their flavor I think. It hits hard! I love it! I think Xikey is my favorite track! This or Rockstar.

I don't know if anyone has commented this yet. But tricky house was a song composed for them on a pre-debut show by ateez's main producer Eden. So that might be why it didn't stand out to you so much. Even if I'm obsessed with that song haha. Eden still produced this but I think with a different approach. Hongjoong is the one responsible for the tram-pam-pam-pam, gra-ta-ta-ta, ooh la-la-la. I'm really happy to see you react to another song to see their potential!

I never experienced it myself but I read a lot of comments where girls/women told that boys/men (not all ofc but still a certain amount of them) a lot of times say that male kpop groups are gay, too girly - probably due to the stage make up and the stage cloths they are wearing and that they will fix their music taste. Which is totally insane to me and very stupid. Musically a lot of male groups have bangers and I bet males would like it. It kind of reminds me of the Backstreet Boys....Boys back in the day felt also ashamed to admit that they like them ...today like 30 years into their career men dont have the problem to do that anymore, maybe due to nostalgia and because we are all adults now. I think people really miss out on kpop or korean music in general. Their hip hop scene is insane. R&B is awesome.... even their trot music is great. Their Ballads are on a totally different level. I do have to say though that male reactors to kpop are the most entertaining ones.
