In a raw, and sometimes tearful interview, Jonathan Hernandez opened up about his own struggle watching his younger brother’s life spiral out of control. WBZ-TV's Cheryl Fiandaca reports.
He's a good guy. I'd write a book too and I'm not materialistic but not gonna lie it would be a form of venting and gaining some finances. I get it and understand . He's a good person
I feel horrible for Aaron's family and him. Aaron wasn't perfect but damn he needed help and love too. I'm sad that this is his legacy and this daughter and ex have to deal with all the ugly after his death. This is just sad
Tragic. I met Aaron only one time. I knew he liked me because he took the time to speak to me. Over the course of the next two hours, he kept finding his way back to where I was standing. Eventually, we talked for about half an hour. He warmth was sincere. When he told stories his eyes would light up like a child's would. His smile was so powerful. My condolences to all the victims who lost their lives. There were obviously many sides to Aaron Hernandez.
Both good looking men. Sad. The reason Aaron acted out was bcus he was violated as a kid, he was trying to be the man he was raised to be- but fighting the man he desires- I feel sooo bad for him, he was battling demons he could not budge.
'Seeking help was weak!'....I feel for JH & AH...YOU CAN FEEL the pain these brothers buried. AH hidden his so well, but his eyes was so sad in all pics...
Not an NFL fan at all. But what a tragic story....and what a decent, articulate, loving brother. He sheds a different light on their background. Families are complicated...
el toro - it may not turn someone in to a thug, but it can and will eventually influence your thought process sporadically and eventually all the time. I will never make judgment on how the body works. Been there with brain issues. I’m not a thug, but a lot of things you just can’t control. A vital organ not functioning well can in no way always produce favorably results in someone.
He didn't mean it that way he means cte is what caused him to kill himself a nother former player had the same illness and killed himself that's what's he's talking bout
I got brain injurys.Aftrr 20 concussions and 4 post concussions sydromes. I'm in my mid 40s STILL looking as yall see in my photo. So that's bunches of goddammmmd bsssss!! People whom put blame on shhht like such as this.👎👎😕 BIGGEST cope out artists blaming everybdy and ALL else rather than themselves and the company and friends whom THEY chose!! Oh well.. ya reap what ya sows., and BAD company corrupts good character.
el toro : Yes but I don’t think it helped in the overall way of things. Aron was messed up front the get go. CTE was discovered during the autopsy of Aron Hernandez . The deep brain injury had life and personality changing issues that are just coming out. Others have the illness and to watch them is sad. This is real.
I already suspected something may have happened to him as a child or he may have been bipolar or something along those lines. The choices he made were not normal. He should have gone to therapy instead of the nightclub.
@@DopeAssDude979 Not anymore, pac man got released by denver a couple weeks ago. Not to mention the 30 million $ settlement against him in the strip club brawl.
I don't think many of us understand what CTE does to the brain but we always ask the question, how did someone that had everything going for him end up like this? That may explain a lot of it along with his hidden sexuality and the abuse he received in his life as a young boy..The entire story is so tragic..
Its tragic for his victims but not him. He thought he was the shit and he could do anything he wanted to with no consequences and once he finally faced consequences he killed himself fuck him
@@ericbeal7284 No not a liberal but I try to listen to both sides of a situation without making a judgement call like you do.. Many of us don't know much about CTE and so far it's saying it affects someone judgement..Aaron sure made a lot of bad judgment calls in his life which many of us have read or heard about. I do know that some brain injuries can cause people to make bad choices whether it's things they say or things they act on. I'm only sad there wasn't more on this topic before Aaron took someone's life.
It’s a very good book. Definitely is relatable to how people in Connecticut grow up… you just know Aaron would’ve given so much back to the Bristol community
So sad what fame in a sport and injury in a sport can do to a person. The million dollar question......WHAT IF........He was just another regular guy who had deep problems which eventually took control of his life. What a tragedy for one who had so much tragedy in his life. Rest In Love and Eternal Peace.
Yes very sad for Aaron .. but even more sad and tragic for the victims .. never forget he shot 6 times his friend and left him on the floor and came back home and acted like nothing .
I hate that people have to hide who they are. Being a homosexual shouldn’t be looked at negatively. Many take their lives for being shamed for who the are so they hope to be totally happy is nonexistent.
His brother wrote the book as a form of healing in the death of his older brother Aaron. I am torn if it was better or worse tho. If someone outside the family was writing Aaron's story, then I believe the story SHOULD have been written by the younger brother...at least it will be told with love on this man's troubled life for history sake .
I read the book. It was ok, but there’s a part where it talks about Aaron’s middle school bf and how they were caught in bed 🛏 in a dark room. You have to read the book to find out the details.
Theres NO way he would have killed himself after being acquitted! How can people be so dumb, he was clearly MURDERED. Am i missing something here?? Why would he commit suicide if he was about to be free??
Hottest gay guy I’ve seen in a long time. That’s all to bad, shit went down hill quick. So sad how your sexual orientation can put that much shame and emotional pressure on people to make them loose control. Really sad.
WOW now we know the truth about Aaron thru his own brother... real sad 😢 about how he was raised not telling his own father about what happened to him that was bothering Aaron all his childhood mess up that’s why as a parent we have to have that closeness with our kids so what ever is bothering them they can talk about it without being afraid.. I was very close to my son I even took him to baseball games... so the mother looks like she didn’t do much for him to protect him...sad 😢
@@bobshupinski4171 Incorrect., there is a loophole in Catholicism (look it up. Hint; it has to do with family, prayer, etc). God bless you and your family.
That guy in the Netflix’s series claiming to be Arrons best childhood friend who “experimented” with him is a gerk. If Arron did struggle with his sexuality and it contributed to the tragic ending by keeping it under rhapsody, what kind of best friend would open there mouth about that? He also said when he met Arron it was like meeting his “twin brother”! Don’t beam yourself up buddy. Your’e nowhere near or even in the facinty with Arron Hernandez. Not in looks or talent! Don’t flatter yourself. Your just a kook trying to knock him down after he’s not even here to defend his self! Cheap Shot!! Twin brother… yeah right. What planet is he on? He needs glasses,he’s no friend to Arron for saying those things.
Every soul needs the Lord Jesus! Sin is sin and we all need to repent and live like Jesus did. A holy life and peaceful. God is the answer to life. Football is not Salvation only Jesus Christ my heart goes out to both families. Jesus Christ is coming a second time! Be ready!
Definitely I dont console what Aaron did...hell I didnt even know the dude. But its honestly too bad this dude life turned out the way it did. Aaron had so much to live for...but I guess he chosed the wrong path in life. Cost him everything and his life. Just a damn waste. Wow!!
3 probably. I don't see him as the type to stay around once inevitably NE cut him. So they win those same 3 years... Yeah that's what I'd say based on his age and track record. Great player but I always lol when I see some fool on here try and say he was better than gronk. Not one soul in 2011-12, he was arrested before the 13 season, but not one soul would've taken him over gronk. By this point gronks already crushed the receiving TD record. There's a reason he only got 40 million guaranteed. Because he wasn't elite. Had he been maybe they win one more but I doubt it considering they won 3
Wow how sad! Let this be a wake up call for everyone if you have children be accepting and supportive of your children’s sexuality and teach your kids to be accepting and supportive of other children who are different that way they don’t become bullies. The environment people are either raised in or are put into shapes children into how they become as adults. All we need is love in the world, not hate.
Jonathan, Aaron was such a lucky guy to have you as his brother. It’s courageous to ask for help. I question his sexuality though. I know that when my brother was sexually abused by a school Teacher for over ten years, that boys who often are abused by men struggle to accept they aren’t gay. It’s confusing, it’s why therapy is the only way for these victims to Come to terms what happened to them wasn’t their fault and it doesn’t change your true sexual identity. It doesn’t mean your gay
Did he said Aaron was molested at six by an older boy and he was gay in the end, but because his dead never accepted it, he kept it hidden? They really need to do something about the CTE. Hopefully research and intervention can help.
A thug is a thug. He was that way because he chose to be that way. He is like any other murderer, cold, brutal, and a monster. People have gone through worse, and didn't turn out that way.
@@keysavage9062 cte doesnt automatically mean violent personality and behaviors. actually, there are few of those cases. most of them are depression and self harm, not thuggery
Joe Perez my point is that Aaron’s brother can say whatever he wants. That was his BROTHER. If shayanna and Jose can share their stories about Aaron and his struggles with CTE then so can his brother.
Oh so sad! There is a lot more trauma that people endure and yet never hurt a fly! The brother gets to gain empathy but what about the men Aaron killed? They lie silent in their graves, without so much as a good-bye to their loved ones!
Aaron Hernandez R.I.P. I dont know if Aaron did those crimes he was charged for and later aquited of some charges but it was a tragic experience for all involved. The power of illicit street drugs and prescription drugs being abused for the wrong reason puts a demonic effect in our minds and body which always leads to tragedy. Sexual abuse is wrong, homesexuality is a different sexual act or expression that is not accepted or accepted by some but we all have our opinion right or wrong only god can judge you, sad this whole situation ever happened! Life losts, people injured, from this story lets learn how to do the situation different! I do beleive Aaron father wanted the best for him, and his brother to have and accomplish what he couldn't no matter what Aaron made his choice may god judge him and all accordingly!
Haha! You're not being serious. His father abused him, which in turn, spiraled his life so out of control. Aaron knew exactly what he was doing, nevertheless. Like his brother, don't justify his behavior or his father's.
I don't think Aaron wanted to identify as gay. Just because a man is attracred to men, it doesn't mean he should have to identify as gay. By the way, Aaron loved women's bodies too. It's not a big deal.
how the hell you thought for a second that he wouldn't not only be charged. but found guilty?... so he could just kill and show up for the games like nothing happened ?
