Awesome video with great personality and energy. I absolutely love Air Fryers so much so I have 4, 2 still new in the box. I find the smaller ones get super hot super fast and depending on what you're trying to fix up can be the go to a lot of the time. When you got to the fried rice, I already knew this was going to be a hit. The trick is, you have to stir the rice a few times. Also, lumping the rice up helps with steaming from the inside out. I would not spread the rice thin next time. Another thing I've learned from cooking hundreds of meals in my Air Fryers is that pot pies are wonderful. I've been fixing the $2.50 10oz Fruit Pies, Marie Callender? They are absolutely incredible. Low and slow on those, 370 for 18 mins. The smaller seasoned pork loins are fantastic. The ones in the bags. Nearly all french fries are great but one type that reason stood out for me are the wedges. They get super crispy and because of the density, are so fluffy on the inside. Meatballs, Chicken Quarters are absolutely amazing. I could go on and on and on. The 1 item that I can never get good results with are ... frozen burritos.
Kathy, I'm curious as to how you know how to adjust the temperature and the cooking time for the air fryer? Is there some sort of mathematical formula you use, or do you just sort of have a feel for it from using it so much?
I learned that I can stand up food around the edge of the fryer to cook (chicken wings, hash brown patties, etc), and then add the rest lying down. That allows me to cook more food. The croissants are supposed to be hollow-ish, so you cooked them perfectly.
I love Trader Joe's. I shop there like once a week. I went to Whole Foods today and there weren't that many things that caught my eyes. They didn't have most of the frozen foods I normally buy in TJ and the prices are a bit higher.
Hi Nathalie... I usually go down by about 25 degrees and will start at about half the recommended cook time. Although, in some cases that's not always exactly how it rolls. The beautiful thing about the air fryer is that you can easily cook it longer if needed... and on the flip side, it's easy to check in on the food to make sure you don't overcook. The more you use it, the more of a "gut" feeling you'll have abt foods. Kind of like when you use the microwave to reheat something, you know? I do have a video in the works to dive deep into this topic though!
I agree with her totally. You can't just set it and forget it. Find yourself a lower temperature. Said it for half what do you think it might be and then just open up your basket and look and check. And then you kind of learn. I had a Cuisinart air fryer ages ago. And actually thought it was written in stone. But I found out that you have to double check your own. All the Briche stuff looks good.
Dear Cathy, thank you for yet another useful video! I am really starting to enjoy my Cosori airfryer, it is sooo easy and the food is sooo delicious !! One silly question - do you think it is possible to prepare a normal chicken broth in an air fryer? I am waining for the set of accessories for Cosori which includes the bowl for cakes - maybe I can use that insert for that?
Great video! The croissants will hold their structure better if they cool completely before eating or cutting. Not saying you can't enjoy warm though.... 😉
I miss having a Trader Joe's near me. Where I live now there isn't one anywhere. I absolutely adore their freezer section because the treats are so yummy, and of course so affordable!
OK woman I think you will get a smile out of this. It's Sunday, April 25, 2021. And I've got a Trader Joe's spinach cheese shells (so very dense) in my air fryer trying to see if I can do it in the air fryer heating it up doing OK. Mine is percolating right along cooking. I have just a Gourmia that I bought at Costco and I've had great luck with it. But I'm hearing beeps. And I'm looking at my timer and I'm thinking what am I doing ...beep beep beep. Then I realize it is yours while you are cooking at the same time and you're checking yours and turning. And I said oh my God we sound like a bunch of clucking chicks. OK let me go check my air fryer to see how it worked ..omg. Yum.
Thank you for this video. My husband and I went to Trader Joe's on Monday and made freezer haul. I got the Mixed Mushroom and Spinach Quiche. I chickened out and cooked it in the oven (375 degrees for 30 min) , but could you give me an idea of how to do it in an air fryer?
Hi Sallee! If I were going to do it in the air fryer, I'd probably go at 325 for 15 minutes. I'd watch it and if the edges were browning too much, I'd throw some foil on. I'd also use my instant read meat thermometer and make sure the center was heated through to about 180˚. If it wasn't quite cooked thru after 15 minutes, I'd probably add on another 5... so not an exact perfect science, but for sure the more you test things out, the better you get at it! :)
I saw your little friend’s hands waiting on the muffins. LOL so cute 😊 thanks for the ideas. I have my oil pump sprayer thingy waiting in my Amazon cart 🙌🏻

On the butternut squash, even in Gourmia they have a recipe for making it nice and sweet and cute and stuff. And yeah you hit it a little too high in a little too long. I think if you just rethinking come down some and check as you along you might be very surprised. It's just a learning process. Like all the rest...
Bought 2 bags of TJ's orange chicken and made one on top of stove in a pan. As I was serving it I thought "wonder if i could have made it in the Cosori. Got on youtube, ad sure enought there is your video. I will make the second bag in the air fryer next week. THANKS - love your videos!!
Great video with nice ideas for dinner. I just bought a Cosori Pro 2. I see you tried out the "WAVELU Air Fryer Silicone Pot" and seemed to like it. What size did you purchase for our Cosori 5.8Q? Would you use it to do a whole chicken or would you just use the air fryer basket?
I have the XL silicone pot. For the whole chicken, I would use the air fryer basket (I actually made some in this video- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DSyKs0oQPPM.html).
I think that depends on how many people you are normally cooking for. I have 7 in my home right now, and sometimes its nice to have two air fryers going to speed up the cooking process, especially for recipes that require me to cook things in multiple batches. However, you can also make full meals using just one air fryer, like in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0WG4YWZ0vBU.html. So its totally possible to get by with just one air fryer. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!
Hi Toby! I have a video talking all about this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6WEDw_AmuKI.html - for a single person, you could go for something around 4 qt... but I don't think you'll regret getting a 5.8 either (9" square on my Cosori).
Hey hey! Congrats on the air fryer! Air fryers and TJ's are a great mix! :) Be sure to check out my other air fryer recipes (plus tips/tricks)... I've got a lot more content you'll find useful! :)

Thank u again great ideas u never would have thought u could cook in the air fryer 😎💞. Oh by the way were can u purchase the silicone cooker that u used that's neat.
If u ever have extra muffins u can freeze them in the silicone cups (fit em where ever possible) and pop out into a freezer Ziploc. I freeze entire batches of muffins as I'm only 1 person but I can still have a few fresh muffins on the fly. (Just add a couple min to cook time that's it!)
Ive just bought my 1st ever air fryer, its the ninja dual,im binge watching all your videos, they are amazing,im in England so your timings and food items are different to the UK but im still loving your videos. We don't have a trader joes or anything like that here.
hi kathy! i wanted to get the wavelu silicon air fryer pot that you have in this video, can you tell me which size you got? large or extra large? i have the same cosori air fryer that you have. thank you!
Extremely helpful. Please do more Trader Joe's! My air fryer comes tomorrow and my husband will think I'm a genius. Also more recipes WITHOUT sugar, maple syrup, and other sweeteners. We don't eat keto, but we don't want to eat a lot of that.
Thank you Raechel! I'm so excited for you to use your air fryer! Hi Cynthia! I should be announcing my cookbook this Saturday! I can tell you that it will be digital and you'll be able to load it on your phone with ease! :)
The fried rice should do OK. It's only about four minutes in my microwave for their trade race. But I had a little bit of vegetable broth maybe some fresh mushrooms and I put a little bit of a lid on it to steam it up more.
Hello FB, Greetings from Germany. Nice Videos. You made my Wife and me buy the same AF. We are so happy with it. What i would prefere is avoiding aluminums and plastic one way kitchen helpers. Wouldn't it be better to use ceramic ore heat resistant glas bowles? Maybe in combination with a silicon lid? Love Jessi and Michael.
There are lots of different things you can use in the air fryer! Oven safe glass dishes are just fine! If the silicone lid won't blow up into the heating element, it will also work! Here are ideas of air fryer accessories! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oAsFqQIH1QQ.html
I really enjoyed watching these foods that you air fried from trader joes i will be using my air fryer to cook them, i buy most of the foods that you air fried and i also have that air fryer purchase last year from amazon. Thank you for sharing your video.

Hi Kathy! I actually have a whole video showing what I use and a few ways to use them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oAsFqQIH1QQ.html
Hi. I'm from Ukraine and we have different measures to use. Can you please help what size of accessories to choose- 7 Inch Air Fryer Accessories or 8 Inch Air Fryer Accessories? I have the same Philips air fryer as in your video. ps- Thank you for you videos, air fryers is not popular in my country and your videos helps a lot!
Hello! The Philips Air Fryer basket is 9 inches by 9 inches. So you could use the 8 inch accessories. :) Maybe you will start a new trend in the Ukraine? :)
