Hi everyone and welcome to episode 4 of our series on the Best of the Drugstore! You recently voted for a full face of L’Oreal, so I tried to pick products that haven’t really featured on my channel before. I absolutely LOVED testing these products and I think this is my favourite ‘full face of one brand’ so far; some of this drugstore makeup is so underrated! What do you make of the denatured alcohol in this foundation? I didn’t buy it as it’s the fourth ingredient and am afraid of it hurting my skin barrier. It would be nice to know how this foundation compares to te true match super blendable.

Hi Hannie, this is a really great & thought provoking question! Being completely honest, because I don’t have sensitive skin I naively never really focus too much on the ingredients- which upon reflection isn’t great practice! However, I do a lot of reading about skincare. I believe some of the primary purposes of alcohol in makeup (& skincare) is to preserve & to reduce the viscosity; making it easier to apply & absorb. I believe the quantities are very low & shouldn’t be toxic - but obviously our skin barriers are sensitive and I can imagine excessive use would be harmful & drying. I personally have a very rigid skincare routine in which I try to protect & replenish my skincare barrier on a daily basis. I’m definitely not qualified enough to make recommendations, but if you have sensitive skin or you have niggling concerns- then there will definitely tons of other options out there that don’t contain it. Best to be safe & listen to what our instincts say! ☺️ Sorry if that is super unhelpful 😂 It would be an interesting video to compare the foundations actually! The True match super bendable definitely gives more coverage and is a more viscous product. They are very similar but I would say that the foundation has more of a powder ‘set down’ than the serum 🥰 Both beautiful though!

My two current favorite LOreal Foundations are the True Match Super Blendable and Infallible 32 hour. My favorite mascara is the Lash Paradise

Great video. The tru match tinted serum foundation looks beautiful on your skin. I was really impressed by the coverage of the Infallible 24hr More than concealer!!! That setting powder really impressed me too!!! Think I will have to try some of these. Thanks for putting them all to the test for us 😊

Hi Carmel, another informative video. I was interested in your view of the serum foundation as I've used this for several months until recently. Like you I hate the delivery system (although apparently there are pumps available on Amazon that screw on and fit the bottle neck). I always applied it with my fingers but didn't find it buildable. I loved the feel of it on my skin, quenching and hydrating but found quite a bit of oxidisation. I am currently using the age perfect BB cream in a tube and prefer this. I've also seen the liquid blushes available in America and am impressed and excited to try them. Thanks as always!! Everything looked gorgeous on you! Xx❤

hi Carmel! I've always wanted to try Mehr but never have! I love the slim lipstick component that L'Oreal has. it just feels so 90s and elegant! I might have to pick that one up. I've always loved the eyeliners and mascaras from L'Oreal but I do love the Infallible Pro Matte Foundation too 💛
