I redo my puzzles that I keep so always break them up. Great video by the way and I know I shouldn't have but it made me laugh out loud. I love your attitude 🥰
Happy you enjoyed the video and that my anguish made you laugh lolol. I was in complete denial that I couldn't save it. I used to always take my puzzles apart, but after completing my hardest one and destroying it, it left me broken into a million pieces... :(
I use a piece of foam board that I purchased from Hobby lobby. I glued the puzzle onto it. Then I hang them up in my office. I love to show them off when we have our weekly team calls, my coworkers love them. They say they look like pieces of artwork.
The great thing about foam boards is that they're not too expensive, so that's a great way to showcase your puzzles! I really need to start putting some of mine up.
Think nothing of it❤️! I wouldn’t glue them together; I save them to put together again. If I was to glue them, I’d be plenty miserable 😢. The only I do assemble, put it back and save them for another session. Jigsaw puzzles are for to put the jigsaw puzzle together, put away or give them to other people who l❤ves to have fun with. What you did for a “don’t glue” of so❤❤me jigsaw puzzles can be swapped with other to assemble for themselves. Don’t glue them, give them out! They want a turn too you know!
I'm a collector, so it's hard for me to pass my things around. I love to have my boxes on display so I can admire them lol, everything I keep has a sentimental connection to me. I do plan glue my hardest puzzles when I get to them though, and hand them on the walls.
I thought about that with the Ceaco puzzle, but you can't even hold it up. The pieces do not hold together at all and just crumble at the slightest move.
Karen was one of the RU-vidrs who inspired me to go about this method, well I made a version of it based on the painter's tape. I didn't have the tape at the time when I attempted it, but I was also afraid of the possibility of slightly peeling the backside of the puzzle pieces. I still plan to give the full method a go in the future and see how it turns out.
As I'm working through other puzzle brands for the first time, I'm realizing more and more that Ceaco is only just a beautiful image. The puzzling experience does not match up many others within the same price range and availability.
I've only glued one puzzle, because I was never doing it again, because it was crazy hard. I totally take apart my puzzles, after they hang out completed for awhile. Even if I get a puzzle that has some pieces stuck together, I separate them and throw then back in the box. I like knowing I've done the whole thing myself.
I also let my puzzles hang awhile so I can admire them throughout the days. The Haunted Mansion will for sure be one that I glue together because I surely do not want to do that a third time. I'm already not looking forward to the second attempt lol.
I used to do the same, but after my hardest puzzle (The Haunted Mansion), my heart shattered into a million pieces. I still wish I didn't take it apart :(
Work on a flat surface. Use a sheet of typing paper first and then a heavier piece of paper under the typing paper and pull the typing paper out. With Ceaco you may have to use the remove a row of pieces method.
I had to edit out most of the video as I tried different types of paper, and I just couldn't get it to stop catching on a seam. For some reason, I just couldn't get this to work out. Even when I tried to move a single row it just would not stay together. I really think its down to the quality. I will definitely try again with the "row of pieces" on the next Ceaco I complete.
Hi Mandy. In the past, I've just crumpled up my puzzles and put them back in the box. Think, in future, I'll "lasagne" them back in the box so I can take them out and admire them whenever I want, as you suggested. I've thought about using glue sheets but just feel soon they'd be as invisible as wallpaper. Love the channel
🤣Ok...the "lasagna" is what I'm going to call this method from now on 🤣 I thought about picking up some glue sheets and seeing how it turns out. Maybe I'll pick some up in my next shopping trip. Happy you're enjoying my channel 😁
Suggestion: do the puzzle on a sheet of card, place another sheet on the completed puzzle, turn upside down, tape sections, then separate, done! 😊 We NEVER save ours; we pull them apart ready for the next time. You perform like a good primary school teacher. ❤
Thank you 😁I tend to be quite animated when my mind is in the puzzle zone. And thank you for the tip! I recently bought a large foam board so that I can work on more than one puzzle at a time. Your idea makes me want to buy a second one so that I can do that trick!
Thankfully I haven't come across a Ceaco set with missing pieces yet, but generally their quality is very inconsistent. Sounds like their customer service is very lacking too. But I just can't help buying the Disney Thomas Kincaid sets. They are just too pretty.
Hi,I did the ravensburger glitter challenge puzzle, it took me ages to do so I flipped it over (it held together brilliantly)stuck it with a wide sellotape, framed it and its hanging on the wall-looks really good too😊 happy Christmas 🎄
Nice! I hear Ravensburger is another fantastic brand and holds very well together. I have a couple that I need to work on and I'm looking forward to it. Hope you have a safe and Happy Christmas!!!
i crumble my puzzles up when I'm done and put them in a resealable bag that is labeled with the name, brand, and piece count of the puzzle. I have only ever glued a few puzzles to frame and hang and that was because they were beautiful images but a nightmare to put together and I knew I would never do them again. :) Ceaco has never been a very tight fitting puzzle. I don't think I've ever had one pass the pick up test without pieces falling out.
Ugh those darn Ceaco puzzles. They have so many great prints that I wish I could hang, but they just fall apart too easily. There is one Disney puzzle that I wish I glued and hung in the end because it was sooo hard to complete. Its actually the Haunted Mansion review video that I did, and it's to this day the hardest puzzle I've ever done, and my biggest regret for not saving it. :(
@@thepuzzledmandy Agree, they have some of the prettiest prints but low quality. The hardest puzzle I ever did was a 1k pc Josefina glitter puzzle of a baby angel. I glued it and framed it. The most beautiful puzzle i had ever seen yet was the hardest ever!
I glue my puzzles if I want to keep them. I’ve tried storing them like this before but since I store my boxes vertically they fell apart in the box. Ceaco puzzles (think of it like Sea co when saying it) crumble so this method will not work for them. To prevent the crumble if I want to glue a puzzle I wrap the table I’m puzzling on in plastic wrap before puzzling so I can glue it without flipping first.
Yea, I'm still trying to get used to saying Ceaco the correct way and got annoyed with myself while editing LOL. I currently have the Buffalo puzzle standing vertically on my shelf and thankfully its still intact. I do have a bubble pack inside to keep it from jiggling around though. Good idea with the use of plastic wrap!
I just got my shipment from Buffalo and I'm super excited, I also thought it was funny how you kept starting the music up over and over again, great video.
I never thought to store them in the box in sections! This is what I tried after watching your video, and it worked -- flip puzzle over, masking tape on the back, carefully fold puzzle along a row of pieces, then cut the tape along the fold. Ta da! I work puzzles on either a big corkboard with a frame or the back of a small framed dry erase board. To flip puzzles, and also to cover them when I need to, I use a trifold cardboard thing like you see at a science fair. Got it at Dollar Tree. I use those butterfly binder clip things (the ones you squeeze to open) to keep the cardboard in place when I want to slide them under the couch.
Another thought I had, when you were trying to lift the corner... Maybe use wrapping paper or something that is wider than the puzzle? Made me think of getting cookies off a baking sheet. It's easier with a spatula than with something narrow. Glad I found your channel!
Glad I was able to give you some ideas! I have some bigger puzzles that do not fit on my puzzle table, but I'm am now going to look into a trifold cardboard, like you mention, to see if my bigger puzzles will fit on that! Under the couch is also a great place to store!
