The cloud bread looks like the inside bit of a Pavlova! It's kinda like meringue marshmellow. Except a pav has a crunchy outside and is delicious. That didn't look like it had enough sugar in it to taste of anything. If you haven't had a Pavlova before, you need to! It's a classic desert, originating in new zealand? That us Aussie's have claimed as our own haha

Canadian here had pavlova in Australia and can confirm, extremely delicious. One of the best desserts I've ever had. Not as overwhelmingly heavy as many others, too.

since I used to live in a village, I'm not bothered with animal butchering as well. We killed animals that we wanna eat so there zero wastage as some of the meat will be given/sold to other neighbours. We ate the whole chicken/cows from the head to the butt

OKAY! Soooooo I made the cereal French toast. I crushed my cereal to almost powder and only used 1 kind, regular Captain Crunch. I used stale French bread and let it soak in the custard (I use cream, eggs, nutmeg, cinnamon, pinch of salt, melted butter, vanilla extract, and a bit of real maple syrup) til it was soaked and breaded it in the cereal. Then I fried the toast on medium until golden brown, removing and then finishing in my oven. The oven makes sure the inside is cooked. It turned out custardy and delicious! Definitely cannot eat it more than 1x a year. Also, cloud bread is low carb, ppl use it in place of bread.

Yeah, Capn' Crunch French Toast has been a thing for over a decade. The first place I know of that was doing it is Blue Moon Cafe in Baltimore. There was an episode of Diners Drive Ins and Dives on it. Highly recommend seeking it out, but the actual recipe is much MUCH closer to what you've done

French toast dredged in cereal has been a thing forever. There's a great episode of Diners Drive ins and Dives from over a decade ago with captain crunch french toast I'd recommend finding. WAY better than what your end product came out

Unsolicited gardening advice, but it looks like your basil plants are starting to flower. You should trim them when they start flowering because it can make the leaves taste bitter. The plant is also going to put most of its energy into the flowers, which you don't want since they're basically useless for eating. To trim them, find the base of the part that's flowering and trim the whole thing off from there. It'll look like a Y with the two "arms" shooting off into leaves and another flowering stock growing up between them. Kinda like a person with their arms in the air and you're cutting off their head haha. This will also promote your plant to grow out (and bushier) instead of up into flowers. P.S.- I laughed so hard at your reaction to the cloud bread.

That “cloud bread” is just undercooked bad meringue, the only way to improve that is either just making proper meringue or throwing it all in the trash.

Not undercooked for pavlova, just need the correct proportion of ingredients to turn it into classic pavlova.

You know what that cloud bread reminds me of? Coconut sprouts...the spongy thing you find inside a germinated coconut. I love eating that.

I've been doing "pizza eggrolls" since like 2016 and tweeking the oil with sundried tomatoes and basil.. and various fillings including bacon.. and yea.. it's amazing.

Darling, the "cloud bread" is not a bread. It's a base of meringue, baked meringue actually. The type of meringue that can be put on floating island desserts. This trend is making me crazy! 👀👀🔥
