It isn't like a huuuge deal or anything, but I appreciate the little bits of casual swearing returning.

The reason the "Koopa" costume changes colour from green to red when you go fast is because it's a Shellcreeper, not a Koopa. Super easy mistake as they're super similar, but shellcreepers are the predecessor to koopas and from what I recall do change colour and go faster after you hit them once.

The costume at 17:35 is from an old NES game called Clu Clu Land. Kind of a puzzle game, pretty fun !

That’s the greatest bonus level ever. And the dry humor right before grabbing the flag pole followed by the dainty, ludicrously short custom victory theme music was classic Ryukahr. It indeed feels like 2015.

I think with the bombs it is the concussive blast that kills Mario, but it does not strong enough to damage the wall. Just the theory though.

I am unironically happy that Lottie “Pink Bear” Animal Crossing made an appearance and got the win. That costume level was very fun hot garbage. Good bonus level.

If there had been invisible blocks to cause the "sticky" flying mechanic, then wouldn't he have hit one or two every time he swooped upward to hit the ceiling? I thought the fact that he didn't was indicator enough that there weren't any.

The last character was from Animal Crossing and I love that!

What a blast from the past. I distinctly remember first clearing the 3rd level you played for Team 0 percent. As for the cape level, I don't think it was a sticky fly set up. If it was they probably should have put the ceiling closer to the lava to prevent you from flying through it normally. The tech it uses is called bonk lifts, basically hitting a ceiling will adjust your flight animation in such a way that allows you to get a cape lift earlier than you would by just flying normally. This level was kind of lenient since it gave you 3.5 spaces to work with. (only the lower half of the lava will kill you) While it is much more difficult, it is possible to do bonk lifts with just 2.5 spaces.I have done bonk lift set ups in a few of my levels. Most notably my hardest level, Warpuppy's Wrath Dragon ends in a difficult gauntlet of bonk lifts which are a bit tighter than the ones featured in this level.

The only costume that matters in Mario maker is the dude who says “Yotto!”

The level might not be anything to write home about, but seeing all those costumes in the bonus level was super neat!

It would seem like a clear evolution of SMM if SMM3 had as many costumes as SMM1 and the functionality of SMM2.

This bonus level reminded me that we won't get to see Babymetal in a Mario game for much longer

Sticky fly would be possible in that level as it is built although the tech was patched out in July 22, 2016 and that level was built in Nov 2017

For MM2, at the very least, they had plans to make Mario 2 a full world. It was canceled at some point for some reason, so they recycled what they had working into a simple power-up.

Ryu can't do basic math....it was 7 jumps, he forgot the initial one. You have to do one of those jumps before the 5 tries for the key coins, then the one at the end makes 7.
