That was one of them moments where I’m like, Matt, quit talking and open the damn crate!! Super cool stuff and I’m glad it’s being preserved at WTT. Can’t wait to get up there soon.

Theres no question that the clock you have is worth more then twice the price but like you said it's not about what its worth to everyone. I'm so glad that the person sold it to you did the right thing by allowing you to add it to (probably) the most unique motorcycle museums in the world, most realisitic for sure. Absoultley a beautiful piece of history no question about it, looking forward to see it one day soon in person. Keep up the great American history to the world.

That looks like the clock that was in Harley Davidson's Factory in Milwalkee, Wisconsin! You lucky dog! It must be a rebuilt clock or is it? 1947? "AWESOME!"

My bet is the humming is actually from the neon light. Neon lights always had that sound. Great find Matt, and it works beautifully!!!

I came across a trailer that is old it's a trailer that they hauled Indian motorcycles to the dealers that hooks to a rig .it is a yellow orange color and has a Indian cycles printed on the whole side and it's just sitting there nobody doing nothing whith it but it's awesome the art work on this trailer..it's in Milton NH and would make a great out side addition to your museum. But anyways I love what your doing there and would love to come and see the museum I love old stuff and love that you have a passion to preserve as much as you can ..how did you make out on your quota to get your museum up to code...I watched the live show it was great ..anyways I wish I could afford to go there it seems everything I like is more down south ..and I'm in newhampshire but again love what your doing and God bless and stay safe

The hum is likely the transformer for the neon tube. Later transformers, like post '70s and such, are much quieter. I'm thinking even the transformer is original. Awesome piece, Matt! Fr

I would replace the electrical cord with a new grounded cord....... Great find 👍

maybe the humming is 60hz. and it runs 60hz motor? because it's older than quartz watch mechanisms anyway. it would keep the time just as good as your electricity happens to be fixed to 60hz then. edit: also maybe not adjust it while you have it plugged in due to the neon high voltage that exists within it, if the insulation detoriated. it'd likely just go poof if it had 1500v to the frame

Someone gave me a Ford clock. I don't know how old it is and it gives the sound of 12 different Ford engines one on every hour . I'm not much of a Ford fan but it's a unique vlovk regardless. I like clocks like that one you bought. Mainly because of the sweep second hand doesn't tick . It just rolls around smoothly.
